Genius Artist – Replacement of the White Moonlight for the Rich CEO
After washing up, he left the bathroom. Huo Lian still hadn’t woken up.
He probably didn’t know what was going to happen to him, which was why he could sleep so deeply.
Lu Shijin laughed, not knowing if he was laughing at Huo Lian or himself.
Suddenly, an idea appeared in his mind. The surging malice was like a flood bursting through the gates, spreading everywhere.
Lu Shijin concealed his thoughts and asked, “Convenience store, even though I can’t change the story, can I at least have a brief overview on all of the characters?”
711 thought that Lu Shijin finally accepted his fate. It was so happy that it held nothing back from Lu Shijin.
“Of course! Who do you want to understand?”
“Huo Qi, what does he like?”
711 searched a bit, then told him the answer, “Everything about Ruan Siheng. During highschool, the time of having a crush on Ruan Siheng was his most treasured memory.”
Tsk, he really is enamoured. Boring.
“Then what about Huo Lian?”
“Uh . . .” 711 was on guard, “Why are you asking about him?”
Lu Shijin calmly said. “I’m dying by his hand, isn’t wanting to know about your murderer normal? What if I don’t need to die to complete the task in the end?”
711 felt like Lu Shijin’s words made sense.
“Huo Lian likes crucian carp soup.”
Lu Shijin thought he misheard. “What soup?”
“Crucian carp soup, the type that can be drunk.”
Lu Shijin: . . . What a unique thing to like.
711 explained. “It’s because Huo Lian often ran out when he was little. When he found his biological mother, the first meal she cooked for him had crucian carp soup, so Huo Lian continued to remember it up to this day.”
Lu Shijin expressed that he understood. For someone with a past like Huo Lian, any kind of care someone showed to him would not be forgotten.
His biological mother making his crucian carp soup would be the warmest of memories from his childhood.
Lu Shijin put on his clothes, silently leaving the bedroom.
This should be Huo Lian’s apartment, but it didn’t seem as though it was even lived in. The furnishings were very simple.
There was a kitchen in the suite. Lu Shijin went in to take a look. All of the pots and pans were new. It seemed likely that the kitchen had never been used since he moved in.
711 watched Lu Shijin continue to wander around Huo Lian’s place and felt strange, “Shouldn’t we be taking advantage of him not being awake yet to leave?”
“No hurry, he kindly took care of me for a night, so I should express my gratitude in person.”
Lu Shijin glanced amongst the kitchen utensils and picked out one of the better pans. Then he tried to turn on the gas stove. It was usable.
He opened the fridge. As expected, it only held mineral water and beer, not a single ingredient that could be cooked.
So Lu Shijin took out his phone and ordered delivery from a nearby supermarket.
The delivery man was quick. Within a quarter hour, he delivered all of the ingredients and condiments Lu Shijin needed.
711 looked at the big freshly killed crucian carp and fell into his thoughts. My host shouldn’t be thinking of cooking for Huo Lian, right?
Lu Shijin skillfully cut three slices on each side of the fish’s belly. Then, he sprinkled some ginger and pepper and cured it for a while.
After curing the fish, he started the stove, heating up the oil in the pan. Sauteing the ginger and garlic to extract the flavour, he put the fish into the pan to fry until both sides were golden crisp. After that, he put in a lot of water, using high heat to cook it until the water boiled, then simmered it at low heat for half an hour.
Adding in seasoning and sprinkling on some fresh green scallion, a fragrant crucian carp soup, white and creamy in colour, was finished.
“Host, you’re so cool, you can cook!”
Although it was just a system and couldn’t smell the soup, 711 could tell that it would definitely be delicious.
Lu Shijin wiped his hands, very satisfied with his work.
Coincidentally, he heard some noise from outside the kitchen and knew that Huo Lian was awake. He quickly brought the soup out.
“You’re awake!” Lu Shijin smiled brilliantly and welcomed Huo Lian, putting the soup on the dining table, “I made you crucian carp soup with ginger, have a taste!”
Crucian carp soup?
Huo Lian was stunned. He had smelt food from outside the bedroom and thought it was just an illusion, not expecting that someone would actually cook for him.
He looked at the smile on Lu Shijin’s face, it was a very warm and bright smile.
Huo Lian was dazed and couldn’t help but see Lu Shijin’s smile overlap with someone from his memories.
That person also smiled at him like that, making him crucian carp soup. But later . . .
Huo Lian’s gaze immediately became sharp and could, “Who told you to make this?”
Lu Shijin pretended to be shy, “No one. I just thought that it would be a good way to cure a hangover. Drinking it is great after a hangover, so I made it for you.”
“Scram.” Huo Lian interrupted Lu Shijin, his voice freezing cold. He was frowning deeply, “Don’t make me repeat myself.”
Lu Shijin was heartlessly kicked out. When the door closed, he was still in shock.
Why is this person so unpredictable?

“What happened, didn’t you say that Huo Lian likes crucian carp soup the most?”
711 was also confused, “Wait, let me check. Oh, found it! Huo Lian does like it, but his most hated thing is also crucian carp soup.”
“what? why?”*
*(Note: English in raws and no capitalization)
“. . . Because Huo Lian’s biological mother had put sleeping pills in the soup and took advantage of the time Huo Lian was asleep to bring him back to the Huos, extracting another sum of money from doing that.”
