James hurriedly said, “Mr. Qin, don’t you remember that I brought Maldini here for your treatment?”
“Of course, I do. But I can’t treat him!”
Everyone’s face changed when they heard the words. In their opinions, it was an honor both for Qin Haodong and Chinese medicine practitioners to treat Maldini, who had traveled so far to Huaxia for medical treatment. No one had expected that Qin Haodong would refuse it.
Old Maldini was indeed a self-possessed man. He looked indifferent after hearing Qin Haodong’s words, but James was worried. He walked to Qin Haodong and said, “Mr. Qin, you have agreed to cure Maldini, haven’t you?”
Qin Haodong answered drily, “Yes, but it was yesterday. Just now, the Deputy Director, Gao Song threatened me that he would strike me off from Jiangnan Medical College and ordered me to handle my daughter. I was frightened by his power, so, I can’t treat anybody now.”
Gao Song hid in a corner after he entered the room, hoping that Qin Haodong would ignore him. When he heard Qin Haodong’s words, his face turned pale, and he knew his career was done.
Until then, everyone got to know what had happened. “No wonder Qin Haodong would get angry. He was enraged by the stupid Gao Song.”
Pan Gaofeng turned to shout at Gao Song, “Did you say that?”
“Sir… sir, I th… thought…”
Gao Song wanted to explain that he lorded it over Qin Haodong for he mistook Qin Haodong as an ordinary student who did odd jobs for the hospital, but he was too ashamed to say that.
As the head of the Department of Sanity, it was the first time for Hou Weiguo to be rejected. Thus, he was full of anger. At the moment he figured out the reason, he took it all out on Gao Song.
“Listen, you’re fired. Go back to write me a report and wait for further arrangements tomorrow.”
Hou Weiguo’s words announced the end of Gao Song’s career.
Gao Song was depressed with regret. Earlier than that, he had pulled some strings to be the Deputy Director, however, after he tried to lord it over Qin Haodong with his power, Qin Haodong returned him a slap on the face. Later, he wanted to revenge, but, to his horror, he lost his job because of something Qin Haodong had said.
At the moment, he knew excuses would not work, so, he left Qin Haodong’s company, dejected.
After Gao Song left, Pan Gaofeng walked to Qin Haodong and said, “Mr. Qin, I must apologize for my mistake. We’ll have Gao Song punished, so, I hope it will not change your mind of helping Mr. Maldini.”
Qin Haodong turned to look at Old Maldini in silence.
“Doctor Qin, please forgive me for my rude behaviors of asking you for help.” This highly-respected financial magnate apologized to Qin Haodong of his own accord. “Doctor Qin, my housekeeper, Kukok offended you. He wants to make an apology himself.”
With this, Old Maldini shouted to the outside, “Get in, Kukok.”
No one present understood what Old Maldini meant, but they all looked toward the door. As the door opened, Kukok walked in. Unlike before, he had taken off his expensive tuxedo, with the upper part of his body naked, he was carrying a staff on his back.
Seeing this, everyone immediately realized that this foreigner wanted to follow the example of proffering a birch and asking for flogging to offer Qin Haodong a humble apology.
Kukok came to in front of Qin Haodong and knelt down, saying with respect, “Mr. Qin, I offended you, please punish me.”
He apologized from the bottom of his heart, for, as a housekeeper, he always admired the strong. He was now full of admiration for Qin Haodong.
Qin Haodong was amused by Kukok’s funny look, and all his displeasure dissipated as he saw Kukok’s humble attitude.
“All right, the matter is settled. I don’t care how you treat people in other places, but in Huaxia, you must respect people you meet. You can leave now.”
“Thank you, Doctor Qin. I will.”
Kukok answered respectfully.
In fact, even if Qin Haodong did not remind him, he had learned a lesson himself and knew that he was in an incredible country as even the guards of a normal security company in Huaxia could force his Red Beret to flee helter-skelter. He knew he had to behave himself.
Gao Fengwen and the other two practitioners were dumbfounded on the side. They could not understand why this young man was so arrogant, and the foreigners were so obedient to him.
Qin Haodong had no idea of what they were thinking. After Kukok walked out, he said to Old Maldini, Hou Weiguo and others, “I’ve learned of your disease from James, and it won’t be difficult to cure you through Chinese medicine. But I have three conditions.”
On hearing his words, Gao Fengwen and the other two practitioners sneered. Being experts in Chinese medicine, they knew very well about Old Maldini’s disease and did not believe that his tumor could be removed without an operation. Even the divine doctor Hua Tuo could not do that, let alone a young boy.
“Doctor Qin, as long as you can cure me, I can promise you thirty things, let alone three,” said Old Maldini.
Qin Haodong continued, “The first one, get me a Physician Qualification Certificate.”

The day before yesterday, Zhao Zhongchen questioned Qin Haodong’s qualification in being a doctor in the board meeting of Lin’s Group, therefore, Qin Haodong was thinking about solving the matter since he had the chance, otherwise, it was illegal for him to continue his business no matter how skillful he was, which was not that decent.
Gao Fengwen was almost choked on his saliva after hearing Qin Haodong’s words. “He seemed quite confident when promising to cure Mr. Maldini. Who would think that he even didn’t have a certificate and was doing something illegal?”
At the point, he could no longer suppress his anger. He went forward and shouted at Qin Haodong, “That’s enough, young man. Don’t make Chinese medicine sound like a joke. Because of people like you, many take Chinese medicine as a joke.”
Qin Haodong glanced at the grey-bearded old man before saying, “Sir, I really can cure him. How could you say that I’m joking?”
“Impossible. I’ve learned Chinese medicine for my whole life. You can’t deceive me,” said Gao Fengwen with anger.
“Believe it or not, I can cure him.” After saying this, Qin Haodong ignored Gao Fengwen and turned to Old Maldini, “What do you say about my first condition?”
James hurriedly chimed in, “Mr. Maldini, trust me. Although my teacher hasn’t got a certificate, he has the best medical skills. I guarantee you with my title of a world medical association expert.”
Old Maldini smiled and replied. “I trust you.”
Gao Fengwen and the other two old men stamped their feet with anger. “These two men must be mad to believe whatever they heard.”
Old Maldini turned back and said to Hou Weiguo, “Mr. Hou, I know little about how to get such a certificate in your country. So, may I ask for your help?”
Before coming here, Hou Weiguo had received a special order from the Department of Health that he had to try his best to satisfy Old Maldini’s requests.
On hearing the old man’s words, he consulted Pan Gaofeng. “Mr. Pan, can we issue Mr. Qin a certificate?”
“If it’s about a certificate of western medicine, I may say no. But, through some special licensing procedure, I can get him a certificate of Chinese medicine right now as long as he has the recommendation from three Chinese medicine practitioners and my signature.”
“Luckily, we got three practitioners right here, Gao Fengwen, Shen Xiangfu, and Zhong Sihai. I’ll issue Qin Haodong a certificate immediately after the three approved.”
“No, no way!” Gao Fengwen cried out excitedly, “It takes a man years of hard studying and strict practicing to be a Chinese medicine doctor. Giving him a certificate will make us a joke.”
Shen Xiangfu echoed. “Yes, it’s a shame to grant the certificate to such an arrogant bragger. It will dishonor Chinese medicine and affect its development in Huaxia and even in the whole world.”
Maybe because he was too agitated, this seventy-year-old man flung his glasses on the ground and cracked it in pieces.
Qin Haodong looked at the old man, speechless, confused about what he had done that enraged him so badly. He knew he had to display his skills to convince the people present.
Shen Xiangfu was presbyopic and astigmatic, so, he could see nothing clearly without his glasses.
As he bent down to reach for his glasses, Qin Haodong came to him and thrust a dozen silver needles into the main acupoints on his head in the blink of an eye with his move as fast as lightning.
“What are you doing? How could you use your silver needles so carelessly?”
Standing beside Shen Xiangfu, Zhong Sihai got angry when he saw Qin Haodong stabbed his old friend with some needles. He rebuked Qin Haodong and tried to take the needles out of Shen Xiangfu.
However, the moment he reached out his hand, he heard Shen Xiangfu say, “Don’t touch me, don’t.”
Zhong Sihai replied. “Old Shen, old age has befogged your mind. It’s no good for you to have needles in your head for so long.”
However, Shen Xiangfu ignored his words and cried excitedly, “I got my sight! I can see things now!”
It turned out that he could see more and more clearly and his sight was better and better after Qin Haodong stabbed the acupoints on his head with silver needles. Now, he could see things more clearly than when wearing glasses.
As a Chinese medicine practitioner, he knew it was the power of the acupuncture. He turned back and bowed to Qin Haodong deeply before saying, “Doctor Qin, so sorry I’ve misunderstood you. I’m no match for you at Chinese medicine, and it won’t change even if I practice for another hundred years. Your skills are amazing!”
Qin Haodong reached out to take back the needles from the old man’s head and said with a smile, “Do you still regard me as a shame to Chinese medicine?”
Shen Xiangfu bowed to Qin Haodong once again and apologized. “Sorry again for what I said, Mr. Qin. You’re the pride of Chinese medicine.”
The onlookers were shocked when seeing two leading Chinese medicine practitioners of Jiangnan City bow and apologize to and even address the man so respectfully.
Shen Xiangfu raised his head and said, “I’ve been presbyopic and astigmatic for many years, and even I can’t cure it myself. However, Doctor Qin made it just in several minutes. I’ve never seen anyone with such a powerful skill for my whole life.”
Zhong Sihai asked with astonishment, “Are you serious, Old Shen?”
Shen Xiangfu answered, “Of course, why would I lie about that?”
Gao Fengwen approached Qin Haodong and asked excitedly, “Doctor Qin, can you tell me what skill you just used?”
