Mao Mao was deep in thought when he once again felt Fen Wén’s body didn’t have any warmth.
’Fen Wén is so cold, is she exhausted? Then shouldn’t I let her rest rather than touching her like now?’
Thinking like this, Mao Mao carefully retracted his hand before moving to the girl’s hair. He started to remove the hairpin the girl wore as well as removing her buns so she would feel comfortable.
After he finished, the young man reluctantly left the room fearing the fact that Fen Wén might suddenly wake up and saw him.
What if she was shocked again? Even worse what if she was already awake and knew he touched her?
Chill ran down his spine thinking of those possibilities. Afraid and felt guilty at the same time, the young man rushed to leave his room. He went to get a servant to move Fen Wén out of his room and brought her to her own room.
Just like that, the long-awaited break ended with both of them didn’t see each other for the rest of the day.
The next day...
"...mmmm..." Fen Wén rubbed her eyes feeling sleepy. She didn’t know why but she felt that she had been sleeping for a long time.
...sleeping?
Suddenly realizing this, the girl was taken aback. She remembered that she wasn’t supposed to be sleeping so how the heck she ended up at her bed?
"The last time..." Fen Wén murmured trying to recall what she missed. If her guess wasn’t wrong, the last thing she remembered was being carried by Mao Mao...
...wait then, what happened next?
"Don’t tell me..." Fen Wén abruptly stood up as she whispered to herself. The girl slowly remembered that she lost consciousness after Mao Mao suddenly lifted her.
Then now she woke up...she was on her bed and...it was already the next day!
"What the hell??" Fen Wén shouted and stomped her feet to the floor, feeling frustrated. If she was in her room now it means she fainted for a long time, right?
Then the day off...the supposedly romantic date...
Fen Wén fell to the floor with a loud thump. Her hair was in a mess yet she kept ruffling it making her long black hair turned into a birds nest.
"This can’t be...I waste my chance because I fainted?" Fen Wén talked to herself in disbelief while still kneeling on the floor. The girl looked down and her sight became slightly blurry.
Her heart suddenly ached in pain and she felt extremely...

disappointed. She felt like she was the most idiot girl in the world for wasting her chance to be with Mao Mao just because she couldn’t bear with the young man’s action.
"Idiot!!" Fen Wén yelled, scolding herself as she hit her head wanting to punish herself for this incident. She shouldn’t faint back then just because Mao Mao carried her.
Now...she wasted a day off she was looking forward to...
"What to do..." Fen Wén silently sobbed while asking herself. The girl was still kneeling on the floor not moving at all. It was already morning so she should at least go to Mao Mao’s office and served him as usual.
But...how could she face him again after she embarrassed herself in front of him? What would he think of a girl who fainted just because he carried her in his arm?
Mao Mao did that because she was dizzy that time thus out of kindness he wanted to bring her back...
Yet...she fainted just like that and didn’t wake up until just now.
"Ahhhhhh!! Why am I so dumb?!" Fen Wén wailed like a wounded little puppy. The girl bit her lips hard as tears began to gather at the corner of her eyes.
She already realized her feeling for Mao Mao was a romantic one, it was love but then...just why she wasted her chance to be with him for a whole day?
Fen Wén regretted this a lot that she thought of going back to the past if she could. Sadly as it’s impossible to do so, the girl could only stare at the floor blankly, not knowing what to do.
Should she go to Mao Mao’s office now? Then what would she do? Apologize that she ruined Mao Mao’s day off by fainting for a long time...or what?
Fen Wén clenched her teeth as she was deep in thought. She really had to do something and apologising was the only thing she could think of.
Thinking like that, Fen Wén slowly stood up and headed to her wardrobe. She better washed up first and changed before going to Mao Mao’s office.
Let’s apologise so he won’t see her as a weird girl who fainted just because of a small matter!
Mao Mao’s office.
"Hmm..." Mao Mao yawned as he signed several documents. One could see a visible black line under his eyes as the young man couldn’t sleep last night.
He was too afraid that Fen Wén knew what he was doing back then thus started to hate him. What if she won’t come to work today? What if she didn’t want to serve him anymore?
"Ughhhh..." Mao Mao groaned, feeling helpless. He subconsciously tapped his finger to the table, looking anxious when suddenly there’s a knock on the door starting him silly.
"Y-yes?" Mao Mao straightened his back and answered whoever knocked on the door. He hoped that it would be Fen Wén but also hoped it won’t be her.
Things are so awkward!
