Mamella spoke out in a weeping voice, “When I woke up, the window was open… The room was a mess, and you’re down, but no matter how much time passes, you won’t respond… Ugh.”

I listened to Mamella’s breath-taking words in confusion.

‘Is this a dream?’

Do I dream like this just because I want to understand Mamella? I raised my front paw and put it on Mamella’s cheek. It was warm and soft.

Mamella, who was sobbing so hard that her shoulders were trembling, held my front paw tightly in her hand.

Her hand softly holding mine, her warmth. Pleasant scent. All of this was proven.

‘It’s not a dream…’

My vision was blurry with a heavy heart. I can understand human words. I can understand Mamella!

It felt like I had barely visited my hometown, which I had missed so much, after a few years.

“Aryl, you’re not hurt, are you?”

Mamella held me up with tears in her eyes and looked around. Maybe she was surprised a lot, but tears kept pouring out with runny nose.

‘But… Was Mamella always this young?’

I looked at Mamella’s face at the sudden question. Nothing has changed… Could it be that I hit my head so hard that I got weird?

When I looked at it, my physical condition felt a little different. There was a strange energy all over my body.

It was like feeling faint from the time the body was just starting to heal. Also, a surge of energy after touching the flower that Mamella received from her family.

The only difference was that it’s a huge amount that could not be compared with them.

Mamella, who had been shedding tears and had a runny nose for a long time, seemed to have calmed down after a while.

Mamella hugged me and dragged me to bed.

“If I hold onto you, you won’t fly away like before… I’m sorry. I must have forgotten to close the window…”

It wasn’t Mamella’s fault. Did I not see clearly with my own eyes that it was closed?

But like magic, it opened on its own and attacked me as if it had been waiting. How the hell did that happen?

I looked up at Mamella. Mamella fell asleep again shortly after lying on the bed, fearing that she would sleep whenever her back touched the bed.

I thought in Mamella’s cozy blanket.

…Is Mamella’s family okay?’

The wind was so strong that they might have blown away like what happened to me.

I hope he wasn’t hurt… I wanted to go back to the window and make sure he was safe, but I couldn’t because Mamella was hugging me tightly.

If something weird happens again after going to the window like this, Mamella will probably burst into tears.

For now, it just seemed like the best thing to do was to just hope he was safe.

I leaned against her arm and closed my eyes gently. Listening to Mamella’s slow breathing, I was getting sleepy.

‘I’m still stunned that I can understand human speech.’

I was afraid that if I slept like this and woke up, I might return to not understanding human language again.

Still, expectations were unavoidable.

Now, there will be less trouble for Mamella than before. I think I can understand everything Mamella has to say to me.

In order not to lose this joyous heart, when I woke up tomorrow, I had to pray to God that all of this was not a mirage.
