He'd never actually figured out what had been hunting him when he first arrived in this dimension, but he was starting to get a good idea as to who it was.
The thick concrete wall crumbled as Michael was tackled through it and he began to spiral down into the void.
The creature grappling him was roughly seven feet tall and wrapped almost completely in shadows. Only it's face was unobscured, and it didn't paint a very pretty picture. It was human, but its eyes seemed to have been scraped out by claws. At least he was pretty sure it was done by claws; every part of the man's exposed skin was completely covered in scars making it hard to discern the exact source of the wound.
It held onto Michael with strength not too dissimilar from his own and a smile plastered on its face as they fell deeper and deeper into the void. Given his appearance he could've very well been human, if a very disfigured one, but one glaring fact pointed towards that not being the case.
Michael had been funneling the heart's power into this man's body ever since he'd grabbed onto him, and given the guy's grip strength Michael was willing to bet he still had all his bones.
Michael yelled over the wind as they fell, "Hey, would you mind letting go? This is getting kind of uncomfortable."
If the guy understood English, he didn't show it and simply continued smiling as they fell. With a sigh Michael reached up and grabbed onto the man tightly.
"Well, it was worth a shot. I always hate doing this."
With a flash of light Michael and the shadow covered man disappeared and reappeared in the well-lit interior of the building where the two wendigo lackeys still sat playing cards.
The momentum persisted and sent the two of them rocketing into the floor where they landed with a crash, and almost immediately smoke began to radiate off the shadow cloaked man's body as he screamed in pain. He quickly shot out from underneath Michael, through the far wall, and back into the darkness.
Michael crawled over to the edge and stared through the crumbling hole in the wall for a couple seconds before sighing and rolling onto his back.
"Hey Keith?"
"What?"
"Do you have any idea what that thing was?"
"Uh no, and before you ask the foundation doesn't have any records of something like that existing."
Michael scoffed, "Fucking fantastic, just what I needed. First the wendigos, now I got some weird abyss guy trying to kill me."
He suddenly sat up as he began to feel an all too familiar sense of weightlessness permeate his body.
"Ah goddamnit!"
Michael pointed to the two men playing cards, "You two better be here when I get back, I still have questions for you!"
Neither of the men responded, instead continuing their game of what looked to be blackjack using UNO cards.
Space distorted around Michael, and in the next instant he was gone.
----------------------------------------------------------------
Michael was plopped down onto hard tile floor once the shift ended where a loud siren was echoing throughout the building he was in.
People were all around him, crouched on the ground with their hands on their heads. They all seemed to be normal at a glance, if a little scared.
Michael carefully stood up and many things quickly became clear. This was a bank, and someone wearing a neon green morphsuit was robbing the place.
The robber quickly noticed Michael's movement and rushed over to him and pointed some sort of high-tech rifle in his direction.
"Get back on the ground!"
Michael towered over the man, looked down towards his blood-soaked armor and weapons, and then back to the robber.
"You serious?"
"I'll be asking the questions! You think you're a hero or something? Gonna try to take me in, huh? Think you can take down the great Green Morph, because you can't, nobody can!"
"..."
"..."
Michael sighed and rubbed the bridge of his nose, "Look, I'm just going to leave. I honestly refuse to deal with this right now."
"Oh I'm not falling for that trick again."
He moved to fire the rifle, but in the next instant Michael disappeared with a flash of light and reappeared behind him, swiftly kicking him in the back of the leg, which broke with a loud crack. Michael then ripped the rifle from the man's hands and tossed it aside.
"Can someone call this idiot here an ambulance."
Suddenly the main doors to the bank shot open as a man stepped through dressed like some would-be superhero. He wore a red mask and a tight blue suit that had clearly been reinforced in some areas.
He pointed towards Michael, "Stop now evil doer! You won't get away with this, not with me, Ultraprime here!"

That seemed to be the straw that broke the camel's back as Keith broke out into laughter, "This is so great! You got sent to a universe where everyone's an idiot! Hahahah!"
"Oh for the love of god, would you please shut the fuck up Keith."
Michael turned towards the hero, "Look man, this guy right here's who you're after. I'm not involved in this. I'm leaving."
The would-be hero looked Michael up and down, seeing the blood, weapons and armor, and seemingly coming to his own conclusion.
"You think you can trick me that easily, evil doer? You'd need to try harder than that!"
Keith laughed harder at Michael's side.
"You know what, fine."
Michael disappeared and reappeared above the hero, his fist slamming into the back of his head and sending him spiraling across the tiled floor where he eventually righted himself, landing on his feet.
For the most part the guy seemed fine.
"You're pretty strong, but I'm the best hero in this town. It's a given that I'd be stronger than you! Now it's time for you to fina–"
Michael ignored the supposed hero and reached into his pack and pulled out the dented and bent remains of the leathery road sign.
He'd neglected using it too much considering it was rather fragile, but the telekinetic force from the deer god had damaged most of the stuff in his pack and the road sign had been no exception.
He pulled the cloth covering off the sign and pointed it towards the hero whose' eyes immediately glossed over midspeach.
Small cracks began to form along the sign as Michael held it out and he cursed. This thing didn't have many more uses in it and here he was wasting it on this idiot.
He quickly pulled the crossbow off his shoulder and fired a bolt into the hero's knee, which broke all control the sign had over him and caused the guy to collapse to the floor screaming in pain and clutching at his leg.
"..."
"Well, I'm out."
Michael quickly walked through the front door, the civilians scrambling out of his path as if he were a plague.
Almost everything outside looked the same as he'd expect it to back on earth, although some things were different. For one, advertisements featuring superheroes were practically everywhere, from talk shows to soup ads they practically covered the place.
It seemed like they were treated as celebrities here, not that it mattered to him much. He mainly just wanted to go take a shower before another one of the would-be heroes tried to fight him for being covered in Wendigo blood.
Or for blowing up their friend's knee. But to be fair, that was in self-defense, assuming they actually had laws like that here.
Michael walked down the street at a leisurely pace until the blaring siren of the bank eventually became indiscernible, and a little while later he came upon a shabby looking motel. It would do.
He walked through the front door and up to the reception lady who greeted him with a smile.
Michael reached across the counter and tapped her on the forehead, infecting her using the flesh that hates.
"Give me a room please."
She didn't ask for any money, instead reaching under the desk and handing over a set of keys to Michael.
One thing he'd seen while in the bank was money, and he certainly didn't have anything that looked like that on him. So a little mind control was necessary here.
He walked to his room and immediately went to take a shower, washing the dried blood from his body and making a token attempt to get it out of the clothes.
In the end he'd managed to get most of it out before a heavy knock echoed from the main door.
Michael sighed, "Took them long enough."
He left the bathroom and slowly put the damp gear back on as the knocks began to get more frequent.
"Hold your horses, I'm coming!"
With lacking enthusiasm he opened the door to find a man as tall as him standing there. He had a green cape on and what looked to be knight armor covering everything below his neck. He had short black hair and was currently staring towards Michael with a frown.
"How can I help you? And before you ask. No, I don't have any cups of sugar to hand out."
"Sir, you're under arrest for attempted murder."
"Nah."
