After a good night’s sleep, Ren Baqian returned to his bedroom in China once again.
“When will this end.” Ren Baqian rubbed his face between his palms and immediately sat up on his bed.
He need not worry much over on Earth’s side. The collaboration on the black mud cream’s formula with the Chen Family would allow him to survive his entire lifetime.
Currently, Ren Baqian had to stabilize his position over at Dayao. At the very least, he should not be at risk of losing his head every other day.
He sat on his bed and stared blankly for a while. Ren Baqian then looked outside and noticed that it was starting to turn bright. He opened the windows and a breeze of cold air blew directly into his room.
“It’s somewhat colder again,” Ren Baqian mumbled.
The flow of time was different in both worlds. Basically, travelling back and forth would require twelve to thirteen days and travelling to and fro three times took up more than a month.
Ren Baqian felt that only ten days had passed, but in actual fact, one month had already lapsed.
Thus, the variation in the climate made him felt that it was a particularly abrupt change.
Furthermore, after coming back from the other world, he felt that the air in the city was exceptionally polluted and a had a bit of a pungent smell. This also made him dislike going outdoors even more.
He stood in front of the window and went into a daze. Ren Baqian was thinking, how good it would be if he could get the profits from the black mud cream business as early as possible. At that time, he would purchase an island and live on it. Then, he would not need to endure the turbid air in the city anymore.
But, he knew that the black mud cream business was destined to be a long journey, and it was impossible to reap any rewards in a short period of time.
Three to five years would already considered a short period of time.
Building a medicinal factory from scratch wasn’t a simple task, let alone the research and development of the medicine and the following experiments that was going to be required.
It seemed like he still had to think of other means to earn some money to survive.
Distant water can’t satisfy one’s present thirst.
After thinking for a while, there was nothing that he came in contact with in Dayao that could be sold for money on Earth.
Giant panda, did he dare to sell it?
Ren Baqian did not dare to sell the hide of the sharp-toothed tiger as there was no such organism on earth. The sharp-toothed tiger’s closest kin would be the sharp-toothed tiger, which had already been extinct for hundred millions of years.
Basically whatever that existed on Earth, Ren Baqian either did not dare to take it out to sell, or even if he did take it out, there was no value at all. As for whatever that did not exist on Earth, he was even more afraid to sell them.
Unless it was something like the formula of a medicine, but the process of reaping profits was too slow.
Selling silver might actually be a feasible idea. Ren Baqian’s monthly wage was about eighty taels of silver. In addition to that, the shop which was still under renovation could earn about over a hundred taels of silver and that was equivalent to about four to five hundred thousand yuan. On top of that, he could earn even more with the air cooler.
Just that, it would be risky selling large quantities of silver long-term wise. Furthermore, with regards to an ordinary person, four to five hundred thousand yuan was a huge sum. As far as Ren Baqian was concerned, this sum of money was no longer sufficient for him.
It was as though he was selling heroin and earning profits from it.
Ren Baqian suddenly recalled that there were apparently many gems in Dayao. He wasn’t sure of the situation and, perhaps, would find out more when he returned to the other world. Gathering gems and then selling them on Earth would be a more feasible idea. It would be best if he could gather those rare gems which were very valuable.
Once again, Ren Baqian was in a daze. He turned on his phone which had been perpetually turned off for the past few days and saw that there were a few messages indicating that there were missed calls.
There were two missed calls from Chen Qing, one from Dong Haiqing, and one from Chen Bing as well. There was also a missed call from home.
He dialed the number for home, and when it just got through, he heard someone going on and on, “You still know how to call home? I called you previously, but your phone is always turned off. You weren’t contactable at all. If you still did not return my call, I would have reported to the police that you are missing…”
Ren Baqian kept the phone away from his ear, and after a long time, the other party finally stopped ranting. He then spoke, “Recently, it’s busier over at the company and I have to work overtime every day. I didn’t even notice that my phone went out of battery. I finally finished my tasks and immediately called you to pay my respects.”
“Oh, you still know how to speak?” Ren Baqian’s mother mumbled to herself and then asked him, “How’s the situation at the company?”
“Great, becoming more prosperous with each passing day,” Ren Baqian spoke in a relaxed tone.
“Forget it, I do not know anything about that stuff of yours. Today is the Mid-Autumn Festival, are you coming back? You still can make it in time if you take the car.”

“Today is the Mid-Autumn Festival?” Ren Baqian
“You passed your days in foolishness? Don’t you even know the date?”
“Oh, I have been too busy recently and never really noticed the date. I will set off now and reach there by noon,” Ren Baqian promptly replied.
“That’s the way, come home soon.”
After he hung up the call, Ren Baqian took a deep breath. He felt that only a few days had passed but two months had already gone by.
Ren Baqian felt aggrieved at his situation. He wondered when all this would come to an end.
However, Ren Baqian thought about it again. If he really teleported back to the other world and never returned to Earth, he wondered how devastated would his family be. Now, he felt that the current situation was not considered too bad after all.
Ren Baqian looked at Chen Qing’s missed call and suddenly got reminded of his engagement day which was approaching. It was a pity he did not have anything special to gift him. Chen Qing had all the money in the world, and he didn’t lack anything at all.
After thinking for quite some time, Ren Baqian decided not to return Chen Qing’s call. He went to wash up, changed into a new set of clothes, and drove home.
Ren Baqian’s hometown was approximately three hundred kilometers away from his current house. At noon, he finally arrived at the neighborhood which his house was located at.
Looking at this familiar yet little shabby neighborhood, Ren Baqian felt unrestrained for no reason. This was the feeling of home.
“Brother, brother!” Ren Baqian raised his head as he heard someone yelling. He saw his younger brother waving at him from the window in his house.
A smile exuded from Ren Baqian’s face. He locked the car, went upstairs, and pressed the doorbell.
“Is the Audi below yours?” Ren Baqian’s father asked immediately when he opened the door.
“Your eyesight is really good.” Ren Baqian gave him a thumbs up.
“You don’t say. Not like you didn’t know that I’m farsighted.” Ren Baqian’s father slapped his forehead. “Pass me the keys, I will bring it for a ride.”
Ren Baqian grinned and threw the keys over to his father. He knew that his father had always been interested in cars. However, after all, he still had to raise two children and was only even able to afford a second-hand Alto with difficulty. Thus, he couldn’t avoid being extremely excited upon seeing Ren Baqian’s Audi.
“Look at how you are behaving, they are all cars, what’s the difference in driving them.” Ren Baqian mother’s voice trailed from the kitchen.
Ren Baqian’s father completely ignored her, took the keys from Ren Baqian, and dashed out excitedly.
“Brother, is there any gift for me?” After his father left, Ren Baqian’s brother surrounded him.
Ren Baqian’s younger brother Ren Wannian was only a 12th grader this year but was already taller than he was. Wannian had better looks and grades than himself, and he was also a bright and cheerful guy. It seemed as though all the positive genes in his family had been concentrated on him.
But, one brother was named Ren Baqian and the other Ren Wannian; this showed how many hopes their parents had pinned on them. With regards to such high hopes, Ren Baqian just wanted to tell them, “I really can’t achieve it.”
“I will buy you a phone tomorrow.” Ren Baqian looked at his brother’s height and also his dashing looks which could help him earn a living. He was not only envious of him but also jealous as well.
“Thank you brother.” Ren Wannian immediately grinned from ear to ear.
Ren Baqian placed his stuff down and went into the kitchen. He took a glimpse and noticed that it was all his favorite dishes. It seemed like they were all cooked just a moment ago.
He assumed that his mother took the whole morning to prepare the dishes and was waiting for him to return before cooking them. She was worried that he would not be able to eat piping hot dishes.
“Since you are back just stay at one side, don’t be a hindrance over here.” One sentence from Ren Baqian’s mum immediately killed the warmth that he felt a moment ago. He rubbed his nose and went to sit on the sofa.
“Brother, what does your company deal with?” Ren Wannian gathered at Ren Baqian’s side and asked.
“Medicine.”
“Medicine? Since when did you know anything about that?” Ren Wannian asked curiously.
“Your brother is very knowledgeable.” Ren Baqian was full of pride.
“切——!”
“Cut!”
