Ren Baqian looked in distress as Du Laoliu chased Tu Yu on the stage and fired his lighter.
Ren Baqian had definitely hid a P22 pistol in his office. It wasn’t powerful and was used to punish the students without killing them.
Furthermore, he purposely put it at an obvious place—the flower pot.
However, they found the lighter that he had put in a corner after playing with it for a while and failed to find the P22. What else could he say?
“Pig teammates!” Ren Baqian lamented. Du Laoliu had really found a bunch of idiotic friends.
Du Laoliu was also bewildered. He didn’t dare to test this thing since he was only given one. He had seen Yagui using it more than once and decided to simply use it when needed. Nobody expected it to be lighter.
Why did Yagui hide this thing in his office? It was good as getting him killed.
Du Laoliu resentfully threw the lighter away and resolved to fight all out. He pulled off the ring of the skunk bomb he had taken out and threw it at Tu Yu.
As the skunk bomb started spewing white smoke while in midair, a disgustingly pungent stench pervaded the surroundings.
Tu Yu was madly gasping for fresh air. The smell was like a hundred burning tires mixed with feces that were marinated for ages. The stench was like a several hundred kilogram hammer that struck his head and chest, suffocated him, and made him see stars around his head.
In that instant, Tu Yu’s mind went blank, he fell head first to the ground, rolled 360 degrees, covered his nose, and retched violently.
Even Du Laoliu, who was mentally prepared and chasing Tu Yu, felt the same. When he smelled the stench, it was as if a hammer was pounding his head, and it left him wondering about the meaning of life.
Seeing the white smoke on the stage, Tong Zhenye’s expression changed drastically before he disappeared into the distance in a flash.
He knew that thing too well… He and Qin Chuan threw that thing at their feet and stood there for two hours… The final result was that they both almost perished together!
Tu Hong suddenly jumped up from his spot and stared fiercely at Ren Baqian before asking, “Did you resort to using poison?”
“You can rest assured that there is no poison!” Ren Baqian said indifferently as he used his finger to see whether the direction of the wind had changed.
“Fortunately, the wind hasn’t changed directions!” Ren Baqian reported.
“No poison? Then what’s happening on the stage?” Tu Hong pointed to the stage and queried.
“As I said, no poison at all. If you don’t believe me, you can go and try!” Ren Baqian said.
The crowd was confused. They believed that Ren Baqian was telling the truth because he couldn’t be telling a lie at this time. Yet, how else could they explain the situation on the stage?
“I have a squirrel here that has the most sensitive sense of smell. No poison can escape its detection!” As Du Laoliu’s father waved his hand behind him, someone unrolled a cloth bag from his waist to reveal a palm-sized golden squirrel.
That man took out a ball, shook it in front of the animal, and made it start to drool.
He proceeded to throw the ball in the direction of the two youths, and the squirrel dashed forward in that direction.
It fell head first to the ground before it was even halfway there.
“What a powerful poison!” the crowd cried in alarm as everyone turned to look at Ren Baqian.
This squirrel not only knew how to differentiate between various poisons, but it was also highly resistant to them; ordinary poisons had no effect on it. Nevertheless, it was knocked out over there, which proved that there wasn’t only poison on the stage, but a very powerful poison.
“Ren Baqian! You still dare to say there is no poison?” Tu Hong shouted out his name. If he wasn’t in the empress’s carriage, she would have battled it out with him.
Even Du Laoliu’s father was shocked.
“Definitely no poison!” Ren Baqian was a little speechless. “Madam Tu, explain it to them.”
“It shouldn’t be poisonous,” Tu Wan said. She roughly guessed what was going on.
“It is definitely not poisonous.” Tong Zhenye had come back without being noticed and looked distressed.
“The squirrel is moving!” someone shouted.
The squirrel was seen lying on the ground for a period of time. Then, it started twitching and suddenly rushed toward the crowd with its small round eyes brimming with tears.
When the squirrel returned to the Du family, their faces began to darken.

Meanwhile, the two people on the stage started moving again.
“Du Laoliu! How dare you use such a dirty trick! I’m going to kill you! Ahhh!” Tu Yu had regained his sight. He stood up, screamed wildly, and charged at Du Laoliu.
Du Laoliu pulled a long face, took out another stun grenade, and asked, “Tu Yu, do you know what this is?”
“Do you think I will fall for the same trick twice? I’m going to kill you!” Tu Yu covered his eyes with one hand as he stood there. He waited for a long time, but didn’t hear an explosion. He put down his hand to take a look and saw Du Laoliu holding a mace in one hand and a black baton in the other. The cylinder was nowhere to be seen.
“Are you trying to trick me?” Tu Yu turned green with anger. The stench was affecting his brain and making him irascible. He took big steps and rushed at Du Laoliu.
Du Laoliu suddenly stepped back.
Boom! An explosion rocked the spot where Du Laoliu had just been standing, and a blinding flash that was just as strong as the previous one dazzled Tu Yu again. Everything in front was a vast expanse of white where nothing could be seen.
“This time, he showed that he has some brains,” Ren Baqian commended.
When Tu Yu covered his eyes, everyone clearly saw Du Laoliu put the stun grenade under his foot before stepping on the safety lever. When he retreated one step, the stun grenade exploded.
Don’t worry and don’t panic. Although I can’t see, I can feel the wave generated by the mace. My speed is faster—as long as he attacks again, I can finish him off with one strike! Even if we exchange blows, he will be seriously injured by my baton! Tu Yu restrained his growing anger and barely managed to calm down.
He made up his mind to finish off his opponent even if they were to trade strikes.
However, unlike before, Du Laoliu didn’t rush at Tu Yu and attack. Instead, he circled around Tu Yu twice while a few meters away from him. Then, he stealthily moved like a thief to get closer to Tu Yu.
“It won’t work—once he moves his weapon, Tu Yu will sense the waves. Tu Yu is presumably thinking this as well.” The surrounding people discussed the situation.
Against everyone’s expectations, Du Laoliu didn’t intend to strike with his mace. Instead, he stretched the short black baton in his left hand and slowly moved it toward the iron baton of Tu Yu.
“What’s he doing?” The onlookers were puzzled.
Something is touching my iron baton! On the right side! Tu Yu suddenly noticed something strange, and a grim smile appeared on his face.
He must not let Du Laoliu escape this time.
Zap!
The baton in Du Laoliu’s left hand emitted a blue light as the current was conducted through the iron baton and into Tu Yu’s body.
Tu Yu seemed to experience an epileptic seizure as his entire body twitched.
“Idiot! I knew you were waiting for me!” Du Laoliu laughed coldly. “But the iron baton isn’t part of you, so the feeling through it is slower! Furthermore, an iron baton will conduct electricity.”
Seeing Tu Yu fall to the ground, Du Laoliu was still uneasy and prodded him two more times.
Clang! Du Laoliu threw his mace on the ground, faced the crowd with a look of ecstasy on his face, and declared, “I win! I win! I win!”
Most of the spectators were in disbelief. They didn’t know what was happening and found it hard to believe that the duel had ended this way.
The duel today was rather baffling from beginning to end. The kid from the Du family was at the Four-way Heaven level, so how in the world was he able to defeat Tu Yu, who was one level higher?
Why did the two of them stop for a period of time? If it wasn’t poison, then what was it?
What kind of thing was that black baton? Why did Tu Yu collapse to the ground after the black baton touched the iron baton?
What exactly happened and who could explain it?
Du Laoliu madly rushed toward Shi Jiyue and declared, “Jiyue, I won!”
Shi Jiyue was unbelievably happy and just wanted to jump into Du Laoliu’s arms. Suddenly, she froze and everybody saw her making a U-turn before running away…
Ren Baqian stood up inside the carriage and walked to the side to look at the crowd. He coughed to attract their attention and said, “Some people went into my office and stole some things for Du Laoliu of use in this duel. I will investigate and punish the culprits severely.”
“Principal Ren, what exactly happened?” Most people weren’t concerned with his explanation of items being taken, but were concerned with a different issue.
How was a Four-way Heaven expert able to defeat a Kismet Heaven expert?
The disparity between them was like the difference between heaven and earth.
Yet, this duel had been unfathomable from beginning to end and resulted in a Four-way Heaven level individual defeating a higher level opponent under baffling circumstances.
The crowd very badly wanted to know the reason for this.
