Hello, dear reader. Currently I’m in quite the sticky situation. You might rightfully wonder; how can the narrator / author be in trouble?

Well, the trouble is that Watanabe has suddenly disappeared. He was sleeping in the inn, and in the next moment, he wasn’t. Gone, just like how he disappeared from Japan.

I think he might have been whisked off to a place that lacks a narrator. I can’t as smoothly follow the protagonist to the dreaded dimensions with 1st person narration. Can you see him, dear reader? I hope you are enjoying whatever is happening to our hero right now. Maybe he is finally on his way to acquire a harem? Wouldn’t that be just wonderful.

Wait a second, is that him? I sense that he is returning!

Crap, I haven’t prepared the title card for this chapter. I’ll just have to quickly make one up!

Oh. That was just my imagination. Watanabe’s still not here.

Well, if he’s not coming to me, then I’ll come to him. Away we go, to a new setting!

“Miss Goddess, I’m not Haruhito. I’m Haruto.”

Oh, there he is. Ahem, okay, time to go back to narrating.

“Wait, you are not Haruhito? Do- Did the guys over at HR get the wrong person again?!” exclaimed the woman in front of Watanabe.

“HR Department… Do you work for the Tu-somethingoranother Interdimensional Army?” asked Watanabe. He reminisced his time with the masked man. She’s probably not a goddess then, just another employee.

“Hm? How do you know about them? According to the file, you’re from Earth, we haven’t made official contact with the population there.” asked back the woman.

“Well, you see, this is my second time dying. They accidentally sent me over to the customer support department when I died last time.” replied Watanabe. “Could you send me back? I have a person I really need to apologize to.”

“Well, you did actually die. That part isn’t wrong. An undiagnosed heart condition led to cardiac arrest while you were sleeping, according to the information I’ve got about you.” The woman sighed. “Look, I can’t send you back without the higher ups getting angry, and I really need someone to defeat that so-called Demon King for me.”

“If I defeat him, then could you send me back?”

“Hmm, yeah. I could risk that if you get this one favor done for me. My job is in the line right now, so just defeat the big bad evil guy and I’d be in a good enough position to send you back.”

“I have prepared all my life, death, re-life, re-death and now re-re-life for this moment! Just give me my cheat-skill and you shall see instant results!” said Watanabe. He smiled in a smug manner. This kind of stuff is my jam, time for a speedrun that is out of this world!

“Then let’s continue on with the standard otherworld shtick.” said the woman as she handed a tablet over to Watanabe. “There’s a bunch of stuff the TIA gives out for free, pick one and I’ll send you over.”

“I… This is just a standard tablet.” muttered Watanabe who was slightly disappointed in the contemporary invading his fantasy re-reincarnation. “By the way, do I get to keep this new skill when I go back?”

“No, these skills work only for the system of this new world. Our services don’t extend to the land of the Brassicans which has no system in place.” replied the woman. “Any levels you gain will stay in this new world too.”

“Right…” That’s lame… But know what is not lame? This skill! [Create Anything]: Use [Mana] to create any items. The items must actually be real items that exist or have existed on the world(s) the user has inhabited.

“I’ll go with this one.” said Watanabe as pointed at the aforementioned skill.

“Alright then.” said the woman. She got the tablet back from Watanabe before walking away from Watanabe. “Just a second… Good luck on your journey, and please be finish this job asap!”

“Don’t worry, I’m a professional, this isn’t my first time!” said Watanabe. He felt gravity disappear as it had during his first venture into another world. For a few minutes he floated in a white void, before he blacked out completely…

<TL Note: Hello guys, this chapter took a bit longer to translate, so sorry about that. For some reason the narration is completely different compared to other light novels. It has been quite hard to translate this chapter, but thanks to my editors’ help, we’ve somehow managed to bring a new chapter of this odd LN. Hope you enjoy.>

…Let’s hope our hero manages to escape this world before these translators notice that the story has completely changed compared to the original.

<TL Note: There seems to be a fourth-wall breaking joke in this part. It seems the original author has had their fair share of translation-related troubles.>

Hey, stop it with the needless translation notes. We’re getting to the good part where our protagonist finally reaches the peak of literature through becoming overpowered and I don’t need your damned notes ruining my narration!

Where were we? I got quite distracted thanks to those translators.

Ahem.

The first thing Watanabe did after arriving, before even checking his surroundings, was to say “[Create Anything: Chronometer]!” Suddenly, much to the glee of Watanabe, a chronometer appeared in his hands. He then started the chronometer, officially beginning his Generic Portal Fantasy Any% speedrun.

First Rule of Being Sent to Another World: Observe your surroundings calmly.

Our hero had found himself in the middle of a city that, unlike Brasscirom, needed no detailed description. To again commit plagiarism, everything in the city was “all designed in the same medieval style of architecture”. Walls and roads were made out of nondescript white stone, the roofs out of generic red shingles. The people wore clothes that were designed by someone who had no idea how medieval people dressed.

In short, it was a generic high medieval fantasy world that was perfect for Watanabe.

Second Rule of Being Sent to Another World: If you have confirmed yourself to be safe, begin checking for any systems that are exploitable.

[Status]!” voiced Watanabe in English, and a blue box popped up that detailed his stats.
