Given the excitement of the two little dragons, no one could bear to refuse them – and thus, King Jaren, Queen Carolina, Jules, Bella, Raven and Mana found themselves on Azar's island with two buzzing little dragons in the middle of the night.
They had always come to the island during the day time before, and they were stunned when they stepped out of the propulsion machine and saw the nightly beauty of the island! There were iridescent flowers in a rainbow of colours glowed softly under the moonlight, looking like gemstones or tiny little electric bulbs often used for decoration in the modern world that Mana had lived in before coming here. It was really a breath taking scene!
"Wow," Mana almost whistled in admiration.
"So pretty!" Bella exclaimed.
"This is beautiful…" Raven said dreamily, looking at Mana, who was reaching out to touch a glowing pale blue flower. She was still dressed magnificently – the two little dragons wouldn't let anyone make them wait just so that the humans could change into something more casual – so all of them had ended up here on Azar's island in their fully decked up formal banquet appearance.
And Mana did look really pretty against the stunning back drop. Raven decided that he would sit with Jules next time and learn to make a copy machine for himself and lo learn to take pictures like Jules. He really, really wanted to capture this moment.
Mana turned to look at Raven, and found her breath catching in her throat. It had to be absolutely illegal for a twelve year old kid to look so beautiful – she thought to herself. Raven looked so pretty that she wanted to pack him up and put him in her pocket and carry him around everywhere she went.
And Mana wished that she had her handy smartphone with a high resolution camera in her hand right now. She really, really wanted to take a picture of Raven like this!
Fortunately for both Mana and Raven, their Big Brother Jules was always at hand when he was needed the most. While everyone else was mooning over the beautiful scenery, Jules had quietly pulled out his trusty copy machine that permanently travelled with him these days, and he started taking pictures. First, he took a picture of his beautiful fiancée Bella (naturally) and then he took one of the two decked up little dragons flying excitedly. Then he saw Mana and Raven making googly eyes at each other and took a picture of the two of them together, and then took one of Mana separately and one of Raven separately. He even took one of King Jaren, who was smiling wistfully as he looked up at the full moon, as if immersed in his old memories – and Jules had noticed that his Papa was not as stunned with the beauty of this island at night as the rest of them – could it be that Papa had come here with their mother, the late Queen Dora, back then? That could explain the longing expression on his face.
Queen Carolina, on the other hand, had a girlish delight on her face, which made her look much younger. Jules quickly took a picture of his mother in law, and then one of Queen Carolina and Bella standing together.
By now, everyone had realised that Jules was taking pictures – even the little dragons, who became even more excited and started posing for pictures – and seemed to temporarily forget that they were the ones who had dragged to their human family to this secret island in middle of the night!
So, they ended up indulging themselves in a photoshoot for almost half an hour – all of them posed in the picturesque back drop provided by the exquisite luminous flowers, the full moon and the shining stars in the sky.
Mana was actually quite stunned. The night sky visible from this island was really too pretty for words, and she had never seen stars shining so brightly on a day with the full moon – the effect was really magical.
Jules had his pictures taken, too – after all, he looked rather dashing and Bella wanted to pose with him as well. Alya, too, wanted to be photographed with her handsome human Dad and beautiful human Mama!
When they were finally done, the two little dragons suddenly remembered why they had dragged their human family to this secret island!
"Let's go, let's go!" Azar hurried everyone. "Super big gift from Elf Buddy is waiting! Azar wants to see!"
"Alya wants to see, too!" the little white dragon cried. "Hurry, hurry!"
"All right, all right, let's go and this fabulous gift that our dear little ones have got," King Jaren said, rubbing the heads of the two little dragon babies.
"Grandpapa is the best!" Azar said happily.
"Grandpapa is the best!" Alya repeated, equally cheerful.
King Jaren chuckled, very satisfied with his dragon grand babies. He strode towards the clearing that had by now become rather familiar to all of them – after all, this was where they had found both Azar and Alya, and a number of precious treasures from Azar's Elf Buddy!
"Not here, Grandpapa," Azar said, tugging at King Jaren's hair. "Elf Buddy's gift is too big, so it's behind the island."
"That way, Grandpapa!" Alya pointed towards the back of the island with a little claw.
King Jaren started walking in that direction, and the others followed him hurriedly.
And then all of them were stunned.
King Jaren stopped walking abruptly and rubbed his eyes to check whether he was hallucinating or not.
All the people in their group did the same.
Mana tugged at Raven's sleeve. "Am I seeing things?" she asked. "I'm seeing a huge magic castle floating on the water…"
"You are not seeing things," Raven said. "I can see it, too."
"I see it, too," Jules murmured.
"Azar's Elf Buddy actually sent them a magic castle?!" Bella exclaimed.
Azar and Alya flew up happily.
"Elf Buddy sent a magic castle for Azar and Alya!" Azar declared.
