Queen Dora's eyes filled with tears as she looked at the children.

"Long time no see, little Mana, little Jules," she whispered, and hugged both of them.

Mana bit her lip nervously. "Are you – are you really Mommy Dee?" she asked in very quiet voice, so only Queen Dora and Jules were able to hear her.

Jules was startled and stared at Mana with wide eyes. Mana also knew Mommy Dee? How was that possible…?

Jules stared at the mother he never knew he had, and found that everything about her was identical to Mommy Dee, indeed.

"Is that true?" he asked in a low voice. "Are you really Mommy Dee?"

It was Mana's turn to be startled. "I am," she said. "It's a long story, my dear children. But now that your old Ma is back – won't you call me Ma?" she asked softly.

"Yes, Ma," Mana said obediently, and hugged the mysterious lady who had been her aunt in the other world and was her biological mother in the current world. No matter who she was, Mana felt no malic from her – quite the contrary.

Mana's thoughts progressed in the same direction as Raven's, and she, too, thought that Queen Dora had split her soul and sent part of it to accompany Mana in the modern world, and sent the other part to Jules to look after him.

Queen Dora had sacrificed everything to keep her children safe from the danger she was unable to avoid.

Warmth and a bitter sweet joy pooled in the pit of Mana's stomach, startling Raven, who caught on to the feeling because it was too strong. Mana's eyes flooded with tears and she wiped them surreptitiously.

A mother's love – no, her mother's love – was immeasurable. Mana was overwhelmed.

Jules wasn't in a much better state than Mana. He, too, hugged Queen Dora and cried softly.

Queen Dora patted both Mana and Jules on the head lovingly, her eyes flowing with affection.

"What a beautiful son and daughter I am blessed with," she said gently. "Now, my dears, let me take a look at my other two children. Bella and Raven, dears, come, let this old Ma see you properly."

She smiled beautifully at Bella and Raven.

Bella stepped forward shyly first, completely in awe of this woman in front of her. How long had she worshipped the great Queen Dora? How many times had she wished that Queen Dora would still be alive and she could meet her?

"Big Sister Bella is your biggest fan, Ma," Mana informed her mother, her eyes sparkling with mischief.

Queen Dora blinked and then smiled. "Ah, I am so flattered, my dear child – which old Ma doesn't want to hear that?" she said lightly.

Bella flushed delicately.

"Ma, Bella has been working on your unfinished research," Jules piped up, eager to show off his brilliant fiancée to his mother. "She has made so much progress on it…" He went on for quite some time.

Queen Dora's eyes widened in shock and delight, while Bella's face went redder and redder the more Jules spoke.

"How wonderful! What an amazing child! Bella, my dear daughter, I am so proud!" Queen Dora said happily and hugged Bella.

"Thank you…Ma," Bella said shyly.

Queen Dora beamed at her. "Is little Jules treating you well?" she asked. "Such a precious child like you, peerless in beauty and brains – he should be worshipping the ground you walk on!"

Bella glanced at Jules and took his hand. Then she turned back to Queen Dora. "Jules treats me very well," she said softly. "He is the most perfect man in the world."

Queen Dora burst into a merry laugh, and the effect was very pleasant, just like the sound of the tinkling of silver bells. "Wonderful," she praised. "What a beautiful couple you make. You've done well, my boy, in getting such a lovely new daughter for Jaren and me!"

Then Queen Dora caught sight of Queen Carolina hovering nearby. "Queen Carolina?" she called. "Bella is your daughter?"

"Hello, Queen Dora," Queen Carolina greeted. "It's been a while."

"It has, hasn't it?" Queen Dora murmured, but then brightened immediately. "You daughter is such a precious treasure – you don't mind my son sweeping her off her feet, do you?" she asked with a jovial smile.

Queen Carolina found herself smiling as well. "Of course not. Your son is as much of a precious treasure as my daughter is. They really are very well matched, aren't they?" she said.

Queen Dora nodded eagerly. "They are! They look so beautiful together, as if they have just walked out of a painting!" she said happily.

Both Jules and Bella were as red as tomatoes by now.

King Jaren chuckled. "All right, Dora, don't tease the poor children too much," he said, his eyes sparkling with mirth.

Queen Dora stuck out her tongue at him in a childish manner – like Mana sometimes did.

"Now, where's our other child?" Queen Dora asked, looking around and then fixing her eyes on Raven. "Raven, dear, come over. Let me see the beautiful prince that has captivated my baby girl!" she called.

Raven stepped forward. "Hello," he said shyly.

Queen Dora patted his hair affectionately. "Call me Ma, dear one, just like Bella," she said.

Raven nodded shyly.

"Raven saved my life," Mana said to her mother. "Not once, but many, many times. And he is also the cleverest person in the world, and the most talented, and the prettiest, and…"

Queen Dora laughed. "Yes, yes, my little Mana, I can see that you are head over heels in love with our beautiful Raven," she teased.

Mana flushed. "He's worth it," she said firmly.

"Of course he is," Queen Dora said easily. "I don't think Jaren would let him near his precious baby girl if he wasn't!" She turned to Raven and hugged him. "What a beautiful and precious child you are, son. I am very glad that you and Mana found each other, and I am very grateful to you for looking after her."

"Mana is the light of my life," Raven said quietly. "And without Mana and Big Brother Jules, I would not be here…"

Queen Dora smiled and patted his head affectionately. "Mana is fortunate to have won your heart," she said. "Look after each other, my dears."

Then Queen Dora looked up at the two adorable little dragons who had once again taken up their favourite spots on King Jaren's broad shoulders.

"Azar, Alya – Grandmama is sorry that she doesn't have a gift for you right now, but Grandmama will get your delicious thing to eat later, all right?" Queen Dora cajoled.

The two little dragons beamed at her.

"Grandmama is nice!" the little white dragon Alya declared and launched herself at Queen Dora, nuzzling her face with her small head.

It was unusual of little Alya to take action before Azar – but then, would Azar stay behind when Alya had gone over to greet their Grandmama?

"Grandmama is pretty!" the little black dragon flattered Queen Dora, and went to nuzzle her face with his small, dark head as well.

"Ah, what beautiful and adorable grandchildren I have!" Queen Dora said happily, rubbing the smooth scales of the two little dragons. Hearts and bubbles poured out of her eyes, just like most people who saw the two cute little dragon babies for the first time.

And with Azar and Alya acting cute in front of their Grandmama, Queen Dora completely forgot about her human husband and her human son and daughter – and focussed her entire attention on the two little baby dragons frolicking about on her lap.

King Jaren watched helplessly for quite some time, his eyes softer than anyone had ever seen before. He looked like he had shed ten years from his age, and he was the very picture of a young man deeply in love with his wife.

Queen Dora, perhaps sensing her husband's thoughts, looked up at him, and a faint blush appeared on her cheeks when she caught sight of his expression.

Queen Dora reached out and caressed King Jaren's face lovingly. "Jaren, my love," she murmured. "It's been hard on you, these ten years, hasn't it?"

King Jaren simply closed his eyes and leaned into her touch, not saying a word.

"I'm sorry," Queen Dora murmured softly. "I have made you suffer, my love."

King Jaren's eyes snapped open and he shook his head slightly. His brilliant emerald eyes dimmed. "You did everything to protect our children, didn't you, Dora?" he asked in a hoarse voice. "If I hadn't been so unreliable – if I hadn't been so incompetent – if I had not lost your trust back then – it would never have come to this…" he murmured. "I should be the one apologising to you, Dora. I failed you, and I failed our children…"

"No, my love, don't say that!" Queen Dora cried and pulled him into her arms.. "Don't say that, Jaren. It wasn't your fault – we were just caught in an impossible situation at the time…"
