Preparing for tomorrow

We said some caustic words to king Jay then left that place. Eph also returned with us.
Well, here’s the problem. I have to prove to that dwarven king tomorrow that they’re wrong about that lava furnace (as I named it on my own).
And then just as we returned, Eph asked me anxiously.

”Hey, Wirk. You said you’re going to show them a real furnace tomorrow, but what’re you going to do? Don’t tell me you’re going to build it at the place tomorrow?” (Eph)
 ”Unii”
 ”Mogu~”
 ”Mogu-”
 ”Mogu mogu”
 Mogyu?”
 ”Mo~gu~”

Eph’s question is a fair one. Uni and the moles were waving their arms around, making a fuss like “what are you going to do-nano~?”.
Then Eph picked Marbo up and hugged him tightly. She seemed to have a guilty expression.

 ”What’s with the face?” (Wirk)
”Because… I ended up getting you involved in something ridiculous.” (Eph)

As expected, she was worried about that. She’s probably sorry for getting us involved in their father-daughter quarrel.

”Don’t worry about it. I pretty much started that argument of my own accord. It’s not related to you.” (Wirk)
 ”Koo~”
 ”Kyupi~”

Kani cheered her up by fluffing her cotton-like fur against her while mewling, and Keon also snuggled up close to Eph’s legs. Almost like they were saying “cheer up!”.

”Fufu. Thanks. Aah, I’m seriously healed.” (Eph)

She was stroking the moles, and also fluffing Uni and Kani. I also stroked Kani’s head. Seemed to feel so good that she was squinting her eyes.

”But the problem with the furnace remains. Really, what are you going to do?” (Eph)

She returned to the question right at the beginning. Maybe I’ll make it at the place. It is a possibility, but I don’t think the dwarves will just silently watch.
If they say “don’t make weird things as you please”, then there’s nothing we can do about it.

”Tomorrow I’ll take the magic reverberatory furnace we have here at home.” (Wirk)
 ”… what?” (Eph)

Eph’s eyes went round, and she raised a questioning voice. Ah~, right, of course she’d have that reaction.

”Wai-, what did you say? It’s not so simple to take that big thing!” (Eph)
 ”Unii~…”

Eph shouted. Uni also tilted his head, seemingly wanting to say “it’s not impossible, you know~?”.

”Well anyways, let’s take a look.” (Wirk)

Once again, we came in front of the magic reverberatory furnace. Once again, it was quite big.

”Yep, this really is impossible. I don’t think Kobelco could take it and go there…” (Eph)
 ”Go-!”

In reaction to Eph’s words, after raising both arms enthusiastically, he then tried to see if it wasn’t possible to pick up the giant magic reverberatory furnace.

 ”GoOOOOOOoOoooOoOoOOO!”

And as a result — it was impossible. That’s right. Even Kobelco, with his steel body, couldn’t do it.

 ”As expected, it’s impossible.” (Eph)
 ”Go-…”
 ”Kyupi~”

When Kobelco dropped his shoulders in disappointment, Keon climbed up his steel body as though to cheer him up.

”Don’t let it bother you, Kobelco. This thing is certainly heavy, and I’d rather Kobelco guarded it while we’re transporting it.” (Wirk)
 ”Go-?”

Kobelco reacted when I mentioned guarding it.

”What do you mean? Do you have some other means to do it?” (Eph)
 ”Oh—” (Wirk)

Then I transformed the bracelet and set it up as one of the magic heavy machineries, the magic crane truck.

”Wha-, what’s that! A dragon of steel-nano!?” (Eph)

Ehm, why does it seem like you said something similar before?

”This is also magic heavy machinery known as a construction vehicle. We’ll hook this up to the magic reverberatory furnace and transport it.” (Wirk)
”Wi-, with this? Such a thing is possible?” (Eph)
”Yeah. But because it’s carrying such a heavy object, we’ll need to be careful. And so I want Kobelco to do his best on the slinging.” (Wirk)
 ”Go-?”

Kobelco tilted his head at the word “slinging”.

”Slinging is the job of hooking up and removing the load from this crane. It seems simple, but this one thing makes a big difference to the stability, and if you make a mistake here, it can lead to unexpected accidents.” (Wirk)
 ”Go-… Go-!”

Oh. Kobelco got fired up by the sense of duty. Well, naturally we’ll teach him thoroughly so that it doesn’t happen.

”Alright, then I’ll teach you about slinging by tomorrow!” (Wirk)
 ”Go-!”

Thus I worked hard coaching Kobelco on how to transport the magic reverberatory furnace with the crane tomorrow. Kobelco also worked hard.
The others also did whatever preparations for tomorrow’s transporting. Eph wanted to be of help in whatever way, so she made dinner for us.
It was really delicious. I could only manage to make the meat into something on the level of a steak, but she came up with soup and other things.
On that note, tomorrow’s preparations were sorted out, and tomorrow morning, we’ll move the crane…
