Chapter 12: Chapter 10 – One small step for an exorcist one giant leap for mankind

Akira was determined to save what was left of the poor Akira Ryu. The girl was Cristine's  age for the love of God! The hell with those stupid traits, liking ice cream, not liking ice cream-few minor changes of his personality will not make him a worse  person. Akira concluded and he was right! He would become a new person, slightly different, but his core existence, what he valued, what he loved and hated, what he felt is right or wrong could never be changed, even a million traits being assimilated.

Akira opened his Quest book:

Secondary quest – nightmares

-find the reason for the nightmares

-find solution for the nightmares

"Heh, I did not think I can solve a quest so quickly,  and drew few horizontal lines in the notebook.

-find the reason for the nightmares

-find solution for the nightmares.

while sitting on the desk the door silently opened.

----Akira's mother POV-----

Hina Ryu felt bad scolding her only dauther at breakfast. Her heart was devastated. Her dauther was growing up, sending messages to the world and to her parents :look at me I am a person now. do not treat me as a child, do not impose your believes to me. Akira was as wild and uncontrolled child as Hina was at her age. Hina remembered the problems, that she caused to her beloved late parents.

"Is this the Karma, like in the old scripts before demon church enlightenment?. What problems she caused  to her parents as a teen are now returning to her for a payback.

Hana Ryu took a breath in and out and with  the silent step of ninja stood right behind Akira's back, The girl haven't noticed her focused on her homework. Her little bunny-dragon, deserved more time to enjoy her childhood. The hell with the demon church's teachings. A child even in a woman's body is still a child....

"She is so smart! She aced in all her sciences, she was even selected for the pilot "dropout" school program directly sponsored by the Empress  Zeul!"  Hana's eyes melted with motherly love. Even demonic brainwashing can not stop a mother to love her child. 

"I will take whatever punishment,  husband decides... just for Akira to keep her innocent smile....

Hana put her hand of the girl's head"

"Kyaaaaaaa" Squeaked Akira

"Akira dear, once you finish your "French language" homework, come down for a lunch. I need to go shopping groceries and will be heading out soon.

Akira shot his back straight and turned his head:

"Yes, Okaasan, I have almost finished for this weekend homework assignments, be right there in a minute"

"Hurry up, the miso soups is ready to serve.." said Hana Ryu,  kissed Akira's cheek and left.

"Right food, I am so  hungry... Damn the magic puberty..."

Akira took a minute to align his plans and set to the kitchen.

Akira sat on the kitchen table and put Hoshi in the middle of it. The soup was warm and was tasting delicious, so good that he couldn't help it and digged in.

"Akira dear, I am going to farmer's market and will meet you at here six pm" Hana

"Yeah right, if you think I will come home to be fucked by a spider demon daddy..." thought Akira while slurping the heavenly soup.

No matter what Akira was thinking, the engineer's voice of reason replied instead: 

"Ok, I understand".

Slurp slurp. Aaaaah delicious...(akira)

"Okaasa, I have a school assignment, so I need to purchase a wide range of supplies, like construction materials, clothing and more ahm special items. Where is the best place to do it?

"Is that for the up-coming school festival?"

"Ahh yes?, ....for the school..." Akira answered mechanically.

"So you should go to the Sninju district." Hana said

"Do we have ice cream for dessert?" Akira

"Oh you little glutton bunny, the box from this morning is in the fridge"

Her mother smiled kissed Akira on the temple and headed foyer for leaving.

Akira was touching the place where, the mother kissed him. "

She really loves her dauther very much".

"How can she ask of Akira to assist with "pleasuring" the father? 

"Can't she see that it is SO wrong"  thought Akira about mother's demands during breakfast.

"That is it... the demon brainwashing makes the Akira's mom think that it is as normal as for a mother to ask the dauther help housekeeping"

"It is sick. Wicked" Akira was disgusted

"Don't forget to lock when you leave.. " shouted Hina from the foyer

"OK" shouted Akira in response

"Ittekimasu" Hina Ryu

Left alone sitting on the kitchen table, Akira was hugging Hoshi and proceeding with a disturbing analysis of the Terra's situation. 

"The demons keep the human society going on in a relatively peaceful environment. The rabbit mantis's killing spree was a rare exception".

So why are they doing it. What are they after?

" GASP. No way NO WAY.... That is SO EVIL"

"They are growing the humans as a cattle" Akira's eyes went wide as saucers from this revelation

"An entire planet full of....... cattle"

"Kornelius, can you please read the description for the demon larvae from that encyclopedia of yours" Akira

"Just few minutes to finish my lunch..." Kornelius

"... Demon larvae is the first stage of the demons live cycle. Demon larva needs mortal sentient body to be able to grow and evolve. Once attached to the host it makes few changes to host body and behavior, raising the host sex drive and making the host look for more frequent sexual contacts"

"That makes sense with the things I saw so far" - Akira

"....Once attached to a host, the larva is invisible and undetectable by mundane means and lesser detection spells. Only spells/skills of rank Rare and above are able to find and expose it. Some innate skills are also reported to be able to sense the larvae." Kornelius

"That's it?"

"Yes, it is a simplified version of the "great encyclopedia demonology" Kornelius

"Lets see what else we can deduce from the intel I gathered. First the woman in the train was assaulted by  2 spiderman but she appeared fine in the end, No blood from her eyes or something" Akira

"Blood tears?"  Kornelius

"Yes, the lady who died in the park had blood tears, blood from nose and ears as well" Akira

"Blood tears is a symptom for soul damage" Kornelius

"That's it, it makes perfect sense now: The larva eat other's people souls to speed up its growth" Akira

"I think it just snatches small portion of the host's sex partner like a mosquito bite" Kornelius

"Is that kind of damage lethal? Akira

"Nope, soul has an ability to heal itself in time if the damage isn't severe"

"The bulls are slaughtered for the meat and the cows are used for daily milking" Akira's discovery made him feel sick.

"Ah, I get what you mean Akira" Kornelius

"Fuck, FUCK those evil cocksuckin horny motherfuckin demons" Akira lost to the  anger again

"Akira, calm down, please calm down"

"Sigh...I have done some planning. Here is what I thought out this morning so far...." 

They discussed for some time their short term goals and Akira sprang to action. First he wen't to his room and finally took off the pajama. He didn't realized he has been wearing  it the entire day, because it felt so comfortable. He folded it and put aside. He looked at his arms. They appeared more fit, he can see muscles beginning to form. 

"The strength attribute is showing its effect already?"

Next was the sports bra. The boobs were not big, but he still didn't want them getting in the way if he needed to run or something.

Next came the black track suit, the wrist watch, the leather mountain boots and finally the leather jacket.

"Oh I should visit the restroom, Not sure when I will have the chance for that again"

Akira unlocked the window and left it like that.

He empty his school bag and put the quest log book, the cash (374Y), school card and the mask. The bag was practically empty but not for long because he was planning to hit the shopping district for additional supplies soon.

Akira looked at him self at mirror. The was no trace of the scared little girl from yesterday, but instеad there was a confident  young lady with a stern look.

"Yosh, lets move out"

Akira opened the house front door and looked outside. The weather was warm and sunny.

"Perfect"

He raised his leg in order to move

And he stepped out. Made sure to lock the house and headed to the subway.

At 2 PM he arrived at Shinju district station. The main street was not crowded but busy. people going on with their task passing him without a spare glance. Now let's find us some adventurer's gear

First he entered a general hardware store. he bought a pack of cable  ties, a head and a  hand torch and of course a multi tool. No self-respecting engineer goes without having one

 

The total cost was 114Y, but it was worth every dime, especially the multi tool. Akira put the stuff in his schoolbag and continued his shopping trip. Next Akira entered the groceries. A loaf of  bread, several cans of fish, half a kilo of salami and a piece of cheese, 2 bottles of water and of course chocolates bars, Additionally a pack of wet and dry napkins. He took a special moment to pick the softest ones, because the area between his legs happened to be extremely sensitive and made him feel awkward at touching. A huge ice cream on a stick ended the groceries shopping. The balance dropped to 220Y.

Akira was sitting on concrete board of a street tree. Happily licking the melting ice cream. The taste was so delicious that he had to close his eyes in delight.

"I didn't know the ice-cream tastes this good. May be the local variety is better than the one in Earth"  Akira concluded wrong.

He had time to kill for the next part of today's operation.

"Kornelius, if i get 10 of strength and vitality will I become like 2 meter giant amazon or something?" Asked Akira

"Oh I forgot you are not familiar with the process. The body gains about 10% growth and when the swiftness attribute makes the muscles denser instead of bulging"

"Oh, so about 10-15 cm in height maximum" Akira

"I haven't said that body growth is just height change" Kornelius

"..... gulp" Akira looked down  at his breasts..

"How long this puberty will take, It will be awkward if I grew up in one night".

"About 2-3 months. This doesn't means that your system granted strength will be limited,  the body growth is just a side effect of the whole thing". 

"How does it work, I mean the body getting stronger from putting points on a virtual table inside my head. Do I get bones of titanium and muscles of Kevlar?

"No of course not. It is totally a mana involved process. Up to 100 strength the process is called mana infusion, so the internal body mana is doing the heavy lifting. Swiftness is empowering the peripheral nerves system and intelligence the brain"

"Haha magic steroids. I bet a hundred bucks that this can bypass the Olympic doping tests" Akira laughed

Akira continued walking and exploring the area. He found huge variety of businesses and products.After passing the large shop window of a Sex shop Akira stopped. There was something that caught his eye. He walked back and start staring through the window. 

"I wonder if the will let me purchase from here, Akira was sixteen, it means I am sixteen for the others. While pondering about an angry woman went out and said:

"Hey if you don't have the money to spend don't stay there and get out". 

"I have the money" Said akira and showed the woman the cash...

"Oh come on in dear customer, come in. We have the the largest and diverse variety in the area. No in the whole Tokyo"

"Yes of course you have" said Akira and entered. He immediately proceeded to the rack that caught his eyes. There were padded with plush handcuffs. He took one to test it trying to stretch and break the chains

"You wont be able to do that. These are the same as the imperial police uses but you know padded for confort.

"How much?"

"50Y each"

Akira grinned wickedly

"I will take 2 black ones"

"Oho, good choice customer, would you need something else may be a dildo or a lubricant. I am here help you find your best choice" Said the woman staring at the money in Akira's hand

"No I am fine" said Akira. And looked at the greedy face of  the saleswoman. " on the other thought, HMMM..." 

"I am looking for a mouthpiece that stops the shouting" 

"hmm I don't like noisy people"   Akira said embarrassed from his lie

"Hmm, Yes yes - look at these here. You  put that in the mouth, lock it on the back of the head and you got your silent lamb to punish as much as you want. hahahah" saleswoman

"How much"

"50 each"

"I take 2"

"most excellent costumer, anything else? The woman was too happy for such a simple sale.

"I may need 2 eye blinds but got 14Y after the purchases

"Hmm, HMM, Fine because you are such a fine customer I make you a discount and sell you all the things so far and two black blindfolds for a total of 214Y"

"Oh cool, thank you for the discount Mss"

"Ah no mention" here you go

Akira left happy grinning, he hit the jackpot here

The saleswoman remained in the store also happy grinning - she just sold some junk worth less than 20Y for 214Y
