Chapter 24: Chapter 22 – Q: What can give a better hell to the demons than an Exorcist?

Akira woke up. She slowly stretched and looked around.

"Okasa, what happened to you"? Akira shouted and Hina slowly opened her bloodshot eyes.

"She had been crying" Thought Akira. This time the naked body of her mother didn't bothered her because she was feeling very worried especially with the knife still hanging in her mother's hand.

"Okasa, please drop the knife, Please Okasa look at my eyes" Akira

Hina was shaking her head and tears erupted from her mother's eyes. Hina was crying silently as if she was not allowed to show her pain.

"HINA, DROP THE KNIFE NOW!" Commanded Akira as she used to order Cristina some times

Hina obeyed immediately and threw the knife aside

"Good, good now look at my eyes Hina, Look!" Akira

Hina's tearing gaze met her daughter's stern but somehow carrying eyes.

"My Akira is so brave, so strong, and is not like me. I am a wreck"....Hina

"Okasa I know it is bad, It feels so wrong that you can not breath, but I promise you Okasa. You hear me I PROMISE you that will get better. We will make it better together. You and me okasa Together!"

Hina stood up and they both hugged. This time Hina allowed her self to show her pain, She cried loud, she sobbed, she told Akira about her grandparents about her dreams and about her sins".

All the time Akira never let her out of her hold. Just listening, Just being there for her.

....

Unknown time later

"Come okasa let's put on some clothes and I will bring you to a place I have found. It is nice there. Come hurry up"

Hina dressed up mechanically and at the same time Akira did the same, just some casual t-shirt and shorts. Akira grabbed the money from her back pack, and dragged her mother to the kitchen.

"Drink okasa" Akira gave her mother a cup of water which Hina drank at one go.

"Now Okasa, Lets put some shoes and move out"

Then they both left the house. Hand in hand.. The sun was shining, It was late June's  afternoon. Soon the arrived on the grassy riverbank.

"Sit down okasa. I will tale you a story. A story about angels, and demons about many worlds and many races. About magic".

"Come sit next to me" Akira patted the grass next to her. They sat on the slope watching the scrapers behind the river. Sun was slowly setting. It was peaceful.

And so Akira talked. She told Hina everything happened to her last 5 days, just skipping the fact that the real Akira died and a ghost has taken her body. Akira did not feel too bad for lying though. Akira's body was still alive and breathing and a part of the late girl was there too.

It took 3 hours to tell Hina everything about Kornelius, about the system about the demon's goals... Hina still had many questions, but this fascinating story was so unbelievable so mysterious that she forgot about her pains.

"Lets go home okasa I will make us something to eat!" Akira

For the first time today Hina laughed. Akira cooking? It was more unbelievable than all those elves and celestial and magic powers.

They went back home at 9 pM

As promised Akira put an apron and begun preparing dinner. Hina was sitting on the table and watching her brave child fighting an impossible battle with pans, dishes.. Once Akira burned to black the fried eggs and made such a pitiful look of defeat Hina burst in laughs.

"Hahaah my little bunny will die from hunger if okasa is not here" Hina

"Come sit on the chair. Okasa is done with the self pity and will cook us something special to commemorate this moment" Hina

"And an Ice cream? Akira

"And an Ice cream as well" Hina smiled

Akira's face immediately brightened and a large smile formed on her cute face.

Hina's face melted seeing her dauther like this. 

They had late dinner this Wednesday evening. 

When they were getting ready for bed Hina asked:

"Akira will you sleep tonight with okasa. And may be you do this cleansing aura again? Hina asked

"Akira smiled and answered I will do it every night from now on until  you feel better".

So the mother - dauther duo went to bed, Akira hugging Hoshi and Hina Hugging the blue glowing bunny girl.

Of course the nightmares came for Hina. She woke up several times at night crying. But Akira was always there to sooth her worries.

Thursday morning come. Akira woke up refreshed hugging her beloved Hoshi.

"Okasa?"

Hina wasn't in the bed. Akira jumped, grabbed Hoshi and went downstairs. She found Okasa making breakfast

"Okasa good morning"

"Good morning dear. Breakfast will be ready shortly" Hina smiled

Akira looked in disbelief":

"What a change from yesterday!"

"Okasa, how do you feel" Akira

"I will not lie you Akira. I feel bad, but I am not going to fall in that hole again. I have a child to take care and I have demons to punish for their evil misdeeds." Hina answered in serious tone.

"Do you want to see one?" Akira

"What a demon?, Where? Hina

"Breakfast first. My stomach is empty" Akira

"Ooh that is the magic puberty you mentioned yesterday. I wonder how big your boobs will grow?"  "hehehe" Hina

"OKASAA, it is not funny. My chest is fine just like how it is!"Akira was grumbling

"Of course dear, you are the most beautiful girl in the world as you are at the moment" Hina

Akira didn't think herself as a beautiful girl even less the most beautiful girl in the world. 

"Okasa you are mean!" Akira said and started digging at the breakfast with the usual vigor.

The things were getting better for Hina, she was a strong willed person after all, and she had a strong motivation- her dauther was playing very dangerous game and needed her help.

"Ahh my stomach will burst!" Akira was sitting on the chair hugging Hoshi

"I have warned you not to eat the third serving, didn't I" Hina

"Right, Now that I know my limits I will not do this again!" Akira

"I somehow doubt it" Hina snickered

"Akira, when are you going to show me the evil demon you have captured?" Hina said after cleaning the dishes and Akira somehow started to move after being stunned for 30 minutes from overeating

"Oh right, So I have told you about my system class and how I can use both demons and the unified system to grow stronger"

"Right, I still don't believe you are stronger as you claim to be"

"You don't believe me? Look" Akira was grinning triumphantly

Akira took out a spoon and bent it without any effort.

"No way" Hina got the bent spoon and tried to bend it further unsuccessfully.

"How strong you say you are? Hina

"Kornelius claims it is as much as a trained athlete and it is just the beginning!!!" Akira

"Kornelius has granted you this powers?" Hina

"Well, kind of,  yes. But he just gave me the tools. It is up to me to get my powers growing stronger" Akira

"Are you not scared"? Akira

"Well I am, but how I am going to fight demons if I am afraid of them" Hina

"You are going to fight? The demons??! Akira's jaw dropped

"But of course I am. I have to give them back the pain you and me had suffered. And then even more!" Hina grinned

So Akira led Hina to the garage. Hina was looking funny armed with a heavy cooking pan.

Akira opened the metal box and took out the squirming package. Hina staying behind with a pan up in the air and ready for strike.

"Relax Okasa, I've already broken its legs and wings" Akira snickered

Then she undid the entire strapping and revealed the hideous wisp demon inside

"HAaayaaaa" Hina

Bang....Bang......Bang

Hina was panting and trying to catch her breath. Akira was looking shocked from her mother's frenzy.

"It is still alive" Hina was looking in disbelieve at the toughness of the relatively small demon wisp.

"Well they are. When they reach lvl 24 they become strong like this" Akira

"I beat it with a metal rod and even with all my strength I've just managed to cripple it" Akira

"So how are we going to kill it?" Hina

"With magic of course"

"Look I will show you how I steal the demon's power now"

Akira reached the bug and put her hand on it

Words of power erupted, a mechanical low bass voice said:

"CONSUME"

[intelligence +1]

Hina's jaw dropped in awe

"And I just took from the demon and added to my intelligence stat. This is how I grow strong".

"You don't look smarter to me" Hina 

"Well the growth is slow and I need to consume much more from demons to become a true powerhouse".

"And my spell that really kill them forever is called "exorcise" Akira

"But first you want to steal its powers before you kill it" Hina concluded

"That is for maximum efficiency utilizing both pathways of growth" Akira

Hina was thinking deeply while Akira was packing up the package. She left a small gap, so she can just put her hand in next time.

"And done, so in 3 hours I can do it again. This is my so called "take away food" method. Heheh I am that smart... Heheh" Akira 

"Akira?" Hina

"Yes okasa" Akira 

"What was the name of your powers again? Hina

"My class? It is called Exorcist"

"So dear, I can't fight demons with a broom or pan, can I?" Hina

"I don't understand, what do you mean okasa"

"Let me rephrase the question: What can give a better hell to the demons than an Exorcist?" Hina

Akira put her hand on her chin and thought.....

Then her eyes shot open like a dish and her jaw dropped:

"Two.... Exorcists!" Akira

"See you still need more of that intelligent points. Hahaaha" Hina laughed amused

"So when will I get my system too?"

"I need to speak to Kornelius, He is our tech specialist!" Akira said and connected

"Kornelius I want my okasa to get the system!"

"Well, Hmm  I am afraid it is not possible. She need and access to a Nexus to receive an [unified system] class. And I am afraid there aren't any left on Terra because of the demons"

"Kornelius use that high intelligence of yours, buddy" Akira

"I am not sure what are you asking of me?" Kornelius

"Let me rephrase the question: What can give a better hell to the demons than an Exorcist?" Akira

...

Kornelis eyes shot open like a dish and his jaw dropped:

"An army of exorcists!" Answered Kornelius

"Well yes right, You are right, partner. But lets start with my mother. I need her equipped with that class asap. Can you make it happen?"

It took 10 minutes for Kornelius to reconnect"

"It is very possible, but it is expensive, Very, like thousands of SU especially those skills "true sight" and "Soul fortress". The are the major costs.

Akira thought. She can remove any affliction her mother gets with the cleansing aura, so the soul fortress can wait. Then the true sight. They don't actually need 2 people with this skill.

"Kornelius can you just make it without those 2 skills, And may be we can add them later or purchase different ones" Akira

Kornelius connected after 5 minutes

"Yes, It is possible!" Kornelius

"So how much will it cost to initiate lets name it "basic settings" Exorcist for Okasa?"

"I need time to think all the details. It is not a simple matter. I will work it trough this night and call you tomorrow"

"Thank you for you hard work, partner" Akira

"fuffufu another test subject coming in heehehe" A sinister laugh ended the connection

"Oh, he will be fine" Akira shook her head

Akira looked at her mother with eyes of worship. 

"She is such a brave and smart and caring person. I am happy that I've met her"

"So what now?" asked Akira

"Now dear, you will explain every single detail of this system and just everything you know. I need to know EVERYTHING!! Hina said

And they talked, and talked... Then Akira "consumed", then they talked. Then they ate ice cream at that riverside cafe. At one point Hina started to take notes... Then the day ended with a delicious dinner. Then Akira set an alarm so she can keep her consume spell spree efficiently running....
