The doctor who was typing suddenly felt a ghastly aura that froze his entire existence and before he could turn his head, he heard a deathly chilling voice which announced his death.
"You shouldn't interfere with others."
"You shouldn't have allowed your greed to get better of you."
"Who...?" Before the doctor could scream, sound something was heard.
Before the doctor could complete his sentence, a pair of hands grabbed his neck and twisted it to an unreachable angle and snapped his head.
The lifeless body of the doctor falls to the ground with a thud.
"Why did you kill me now?"
"How are you going to handle the situation?"
A man appeared out of thin air dressed in black.
ᴘ ᴀɴ ᴅᴀ-ɴᴏᴠ ᴇʟ, ᴄᴏᴍ "You don't need to worry about that. The Knights will take care of the matter." The man who killed the doctor spoke.
He scanned around to see the healer who was called to treat Lucas lying on the floor.
Fortunately, he didn't die and just lost his consciousness due to doctors spraying some sleep-inducing gas on him.
"By the way what did this man find out which made him scream in happiness?"The other man asked and went to take a look at the report.
He took the piece of paper and started to read what was written on it.
As soon as he squirmed his eyes on the paper, his expression froze and his hand trembled.
"Hey, what did you find?" The other man asked and snatched the paper and after seeing it, he looked at Lucas.
His gaze exchanged between Lucas and the things written on the paper.
"Holy shit!" Both of them screamed at the same time.
"I can't believe this body had a golden bloodline than just why the hell is it mentioned bronze in the records" One of them spoke.
"I think, we should report it to Majesty." The man suggested.
"Yeah, we should report it. But on the second note, his majesty must have already known about it." He spoke.
"Why did you think like that?"The other man asked raising his brows.
" Dumbass, do you think we would be given the order to protect someone who doesn't worth anything."
"Ohh!" The other man exclaimed with an understanding look and spoke"Yes, you are right. He might have already a golden bloodline but due to some reason, he had to hide it. His Majesty might have wanted to suppress the matter."
"Let's heal him. His condition is becoming worse."
Both of them walked toward Lucas and saw the huge wound on his chest along with patches of brunt skin which had formed dark spots from inside.
One of the men took out a wand and started channelling mana into his wand and cast it on Lucas.
Lucas's whole body started to glow and was covered in golden light and his pale skin started to recover and his heartbeat hastened while vitality returned to his body.
The dark patch started to disappear leaving behind soft and smooth skin and within a few seconds, everything went to normal within an instant Lucas was completely healed and even looked much better than before.
The man took back the wand and put it into the storage ring, took a deep breath and wiped off the sweat from his forehead.
"Was that a higher healing spell?" The man asked seeing the other man using most of his mana.
"Yes, I used a high tier healing spell.Mid tier would have only stabilised his condition and let him recover slowly and it may take a few weeks for him to heal naturally."
The man took the report and woke up the healer who lay at the side and soon their figure disappeared.
After a few moments.
The healer woke up and was still feeling dizzy and looked around at what was going on.
"How did, I become unconscious?" The healer muttered with a surprised expression and looked around.
"Jeremy, you passed out after healing the boy." The man heard a voice from the back and turned back to see the doctor.
On hearing his words, he looked at Lucas who seemed to be completely fit and fine with no wound or sign of dark patches that were quiet before.
"What really?" He asked with a surprised expression and rubbed his eyes.<del></del>
"You have been quite tired after healing him and exhausted all your mana reserves and you passed out."
Jeremy nodded at the doctor's words and thought that it may be true after all healing someone is quite a strenuous job. Though he had no faint memories of what happened after he entered the room still he didn't put too much effort into his already aching head and accompanied the doctor outside.
After all, there have been many times when he was so exhausted after healing someone that he couldn't even remember about it so it was quite common for him.
Both of them went outside and meet each other and informed that Lucas's condition was quite stable and he just needs some rest for a few days.
The others sighed in relief on hearing his words and though they hesitated to leave and wanted to see Lucas but they finally left after waiting for a few hours.
........
After an unknown amount of time, Lucas finally opened his eyes and rubbed them a little.
As soon as he opened his eyes countless images of his match flashed in his eyes.
With a look of forlorn and sadness, a soft sigh escaped from his lips.
"I...I lost." Lucas muttered as he felt an unknown feeling welling up from inside.
It was quite an uneasy feeling mixed with sadness, hatred, envy and worthlessness as he lost the match.
But what made him more unhappy was the thought of Fredrick going easy on him.
"What if he had used the last move from the beginning?"
"I would have lost if he has used the thundering dragon at the start. I would have already lost even before I could lift my sword."
Lucas pulled his arms and cuddled and his body started to tremble.
"Moreover, the vision which I sawed behind Fredrick. It made my whole existence shiver." Lucas muttered as he still could feel his body trembling thinking about the scene and felt as if his soul will leave his body if he was forced to see that scene again.
"What was that! This was never mentioned in the novel. The only thing that was mentioned was that the spear had countless techniques and moves that were passed onto Fredrick like an inheritance."
"Wait...maybe."
Thinking about it, something clicked inside Lucas's mind and he spoke"It can't be.."
"Maybe they are the people who had invented those techniques. Since Fredrick's spear is an artifact it must have a history of its own and countless people must have used it and all their knowledge must have passed onto the spear and Fredrick might have unknowingly manifested them."
"This means, he had more knowledge about this world than me.." Lucas muttered as his eyeball widened in shock and disbelief.
Currently, Lucas was the only one who knew the present events and a bit about future events that were going to happen but he didn't know much about the past of this world.
If Lucas's conclusion was correct then Fredrick must have known about many things about the past, the type of people that have lived before.
Their strength and powerhouse of that era.
"He must also know something about demons which his future self talked about."
As more and more thoughts came into Lucas's mind suddenly Lucas started to have a bad premonition about it.
"Wait! I know about the future and Fredeick knew about the past. Isn't something quite odd?" Lucas asked raising his brows.
He felt as if Fredrick and he were like two puzzles that are set to fit each other or they were on opposite sides of the same coins.
"This is crazy. This is simply crazy." Lucas got up from the bed and massaged his forehead as he thought that he might be thinking too much and trying to escape the sadness of being defeated by Fredrick and this must be his inner self trying to divert his mind from thinking about useless things.
"I think I should have a chat with Fredrick," Lucas spoke as the haziness in his eyes disappeared and was replaced by a sharp cold flint which made one seems that his eyes were started to fill with murderous intent.
Lucas got up from his bed and opened the door.
CLANK!
As soon as he opened the door, he saw a girl who flinched back a little seeing his cold eyes.
"Lucas, why do you look so angry?"
"Princess."
The cold glint in Lucas's eyes was replaced by a warm look and the angry lion became a docile cat in front of the princess.
"Your Highness, what are you doing here?" Lucas asked as he found it quite unusual to see her instead of his weirdo gang.
