After departing from Roan, Lucas entered the magnificent building in front of him
The Sword Club.
At the top of the huge entrance door, there was a huge insignia depicting two swords clashing each other.
As Lucas entered the building, he found many small dojos with platforms where students were practising with their swords guided by the third years and some instructors.
There were approximately 100 people present at the moment.
Lucas looked for a place for the registration of new members.
Looking around, he found a small trail of students standing in a line. Nearly fifteen students were standing quietly waiting in line for their number to come.
Lucas quietly stood at the end of the line and observed his surroundings looking at the members practising with thier swords.
As his eyes scanned the entire area, it stopped on a particular boy with blonde hair who was swinging his sword non-stop without any moment of rest.
Lucas felt that within a minute he swung his sword about hundreds of times.
While he was practising, many were standing near his training area, admiring his movements which looked quite perfect.
He is the current president of the swords club. He is in 5-Star rank. He is already nearing the stage of mastery in swordsmanship.
If not for being practising swordsmanship suppressing his level, he could have cut the entire ring into two halves with his swings. He is quite fierce in that aspect.
'He surely deserves the position of President.'Lucas thought.
He has got to this position through his hard work and talent, unlike certain others who used their connection to reach up.
Even Lucas was mesmerized by his stance and his flawless movements. His hands were already itching for getting a chance to fight with him.
"Next."
Lucas went towards the counter as his number came and gave the one at the counter his name and my data. The boy before him clicked on the computer to see Lucas's profile description.
The boy before him frowned seeing his information.
He casually asked, "Have you taken any natural treasure to raise your rank."
Lucas's lips twitched a little.
Listening to his question, Lucas was stupified for a moment. He smiled bitterly in his heart thinking how to answer.
After all, no one will believe, a student who was in early 1-Star at the opening of academy, just within three months raised in rank to 2 -Star, moreover with just bronze bloodline.
He must be looking at my profile before entering the academy and my exam result and my performance of jumping nearly 1000 rank at the time.
"I am really poor. How can I find treasure or potions to forcibly raise my rank." Lucas said giving a faint smile.
After all, Lucas can't say he has a golden finger that helped him raise his bloodline.
The man fell in deep thought about what to do next.
Lucas could feel his hesitation.
Those who have a higher bloodline than bronze can be admitted directly into the club but those with a lower bloodline have to show their worth to enter.
One may feel it as partiality to those who have higher bloodline and can complain that even from a lower bloodline a talented individual may be born but his talent faded as he was not given a chance to show his skills.
But Lucas didn't think it was partiality. Take an example, think if you want to invest in a business or on a share. You will invest in only those where the returns would be good. It's not that everyone is the kind-hearted fellow who will spend on the business that is having loss and one will have mercy on those businesses and invest in them.
In this world where resources are scarce, you have to fight for them and just by joining the sword club, you are guaranteed to get Grade 1 sword skills.
If someone shows his worth and have high talent he can even get a Grade 3 scriptures which would cost a minimum of 200 million if you buy from outside or higher in an auction while you can get it free from here.
So they have the right to be picky about whom they grant a place in their club.
"Although you are talented you have to pass through a small test."The boy informed Lucas after much thinking. He was in a pinch if Lucas formed a grudge against him once he join if he is asked to pass the test still he have to follow the rules.
"You have to fight a match, so we can see your skills. Seniors will then decide what to do next after seeing your performance."
Lucas nodded his head thinking about whom he had to fight. He was a little bit excited to test his skills after he had made a breakthrough to the intermediate level in swordsmanship.
Seeing Lucas not speaking anything he hurriedly explained it was the rule of the club to test those who are below silver bloodline.
"So who will be my opponent," Lucas asked curiously.
"Just give me a minute. You can just look around the club in the meantime."The boy entered some data and got up from his seat

Lucas nodded and walked away to see students in the clubs.
As he went across each ring where students were sparring session, the excitation within him to learn some moves from seeing thier fights flashed in his eyes.
He was engrossed in their moves trying to take in as much as he could into his mind.
"Lucas."
"Hein." Lucas snapped out of his thoughts and looked at the source of the voice that called his name.
He turned back to see a professor along with a student who looked older than him looking for him.
Lucas hurried away toward the instructor
"Lucas, You have to fight him. His name is Newaschin. Fight with him with everything you have got. Show us what have you learnt till now and don't hold back."The instructor spoke.
"He is in the 3-Star realm but you don't have to worry. You will just exchange sword blows so there is a restriction on the use of mana. You don't have to beat him, we will just judge your skills."
"Do you both understand."He asked.
Lucas looked at the instructor looked at the boy before me. His face showed an expression of being bored. He looked unwilling to fight with him.
Still, Lucas nodded my head.
Though Lucas can't blame him for showing a bored expression. Even he would have behaved like him if he was in the same place as him.
Lucas and the boy both stepped forward and went onto the ring taking a sword from the stands placed at the side of the ring.
"Newaschin 2nd Year."
"Lucas 1st Year."
Lucas and the second year both bowed to each other as they introduced themselves as it was custom not only in sword club but in every club to bow down and greet your opponent before your fight.
You can see it is a way of showing your respect to your opponents.
The boy who stood in front of Lucas was quite tall and has quite good muscles. His appearance was quite sturdy and intimating. If not for his lazy look, he would make his opponent cower in fear even before the fight.
Lucas has already fought and killed two 3-Star. But he could feel that they were not comparable to the boy before him.
He had a gut feeling that this boy skills were above them. They are just rusty old fellows. If they have trained hard then they would have at least been able to reach the 4-Star rank.
As the boy took his stance his lazy expression replaced with a serious look but it wasn't able to mask his bored eyes and he scanned Lucas as he took his fighting stance.
Raising his sword he waited for the signal.
Taking a deep breath, Lucas cleared his mind from all unwanted thoughts to focus wholly on his fight.
"Start". The instructor supervising the fight gave the signal to start the fight.
On hearing the word start the 2nd year student immediately lowered his body as he dashed forward toward Lucas with his thick and heavy metal sword.
Seeing this, Lucas thought the boy before him looked like a bull as he charged at him without wasting any time.
The 2nd year student reached near Lucas in a blink of an eye.
Lucas could feel the pressure in the area increasing and making the air heavy because of this mad bull charging straight at him.
However, this charging momentum of the boy was something that Lucas could easily take on without much difficulty. Compared to the tense atmosphere and the life and death battle that Lucas had gone through till now this looked like a child's play in Lucas's eyes.
Lucas easily parried the incoming attack before launching a quick counterattack. The 2nd year student was stunned seeing Lucas quick response and fell into an embarrassment.
He didn't expect Lucas to be this quick in his movements as he was able to duck many of his sword swings which made him waste his energy.
He quickly changed directions, as he tried to launch an attack on his own. However, after a minute of continuously attacking and parrying, the boy was left in a position where he could only defend against Lucas continuous assault.
His junior who was on defence mode at the start was now in offence mode as if he was just testing him before which made him quite frustrated.
He unleashed a powerful strike towards him.
He swung his sword horizontally and then gave a vertical slash with all his strength.
" Shit," Lucas cursed seeing his opponent changing gear.
'My attacks must have wounded his ego.'Lucas muttered to himself.
He tighten his grip on his as he braced for the impact.
Instead of defending, Lucas leapt forward taking large steps and also gave a vertical slash with all its might and met the strike head-on.
