"HOW COULD IT BE?" Eris yelled in shock when he read the last detail. It was unimaginable even for someone like him who had lived for countless years.

"Don't get overexcited. Calm down," Eris muttered and took several deep breaths to calm his pounding heart, but instead of calming down, his breathing only got rough.

"Damn it!" He cursed and screamed in his heart. He knew his heart had gone frantic.

The next moment, he bit his lip in an attempt to calm himself, but except for his mouth turning red from blood, nothing else happened, and his eyes began to turn red. He didn't know when but his hands started waving frantically at the screen in front of him as if he wanted to snatch something.

But since the screen was only virtual, his hands passed through it.

A huge chunk of meat from his lip had already fallen off due to his bitting, but nothing happened. His heart began beating louder, his eyes turned redder, and his breath became rougher.

Eris could feel everything that was happening and knew it was wrong, but he couldn't do anything to stop himself and only grew insane with each passing second.

"Maybe after death, everything would become alright!"

A sudden thought of attempting suicide emerged in his heart.

"How can I fall in such a terrible situation by only its name?" He asked himself in his heart as the thought of suicide grew stronger with each passing second.

Even though Eris knew there was no fear of death inside Panagea since the adventurers had the ability to revive irrespective of the situation, he still didn't want to commit suicide.

If he committed it, it would be equivalent to failing everything he had gained until now. If his heart couldn't even overwhelm greed, then there was no point in him living for so many years.

Eris's struggle continued for several seconds, only to lose the battle in the end.

There were numerous injuries in his body while his clothes had gotten torn in many places. He looked no less than a monster currently as his hairs were messy, his eyes had turned completely red, even the pupils had disappeared, and he had a grin on his face. He was frantically searching for any sharp thing so that he could sever his head and return to the embrace of death.

"Hmph!"

Suddenly, a scoff echoed in the area. As if someone had poured cold water on Eris's head, his eyes and heart returned to normal. The mind that had gone insane regained its sanity back.

"Thank you, senior!" He thanked right away, looking in the direction of the water fountain.

He knew the leader of the Onni settlement had come to his help and saved him from losing to his greed.

"Boy, it would be my first and last favor for you. Don't expect any help from me from this moment," The voice responded.

Eris bowed in response. Getting saved from such a situation was already enough of a big favor from the Onni leader. He didn't expect anything else from him.

Even remembering what he had gone through just a moment earlier sent chills down his spine. He never wanted to go through it ever again, but thinking of the special reward, he would have made him forget everything.

"Damn it! Am I going to face the same situation again?" He cursed out loud, thinking that he was going to get defeated by his greed again.

But even after a few moments passed, nothing of such sort happened. Only Eris's breath got a bit rough but other than this nothing else happened.

"It must be the grace of the senior!" Eris thought as he believed that the Onni leader completely removed the greedy demon from his heart. In gratitude to the leader, he bowed once more toward the water fountain.

"Hehe, such a weak ruler!"

One of the Onni commented, seeing Eris.

"He's the ruler of this area. Don't talk behind him," Another Onni responded.

"Hehe!" The Onni only laughed in response.

"I'm going back to sleep!"

Suddenly the familiar voice rang inside the water fountain as the smallest fish of the hundreds of Onnis closed its eyes and fell asleep. The next moment, every Onni followed that fish and closed their eyes.

The Onnis would now only open their eyes after thousand years had passed. They only opened their eyes today to welcome the ruler of the area after the will of the Panagea told them.

Unaware of the Onnis falling asleep, Eris looked at the screen in front of him for the umpteenth time to make sure that it wasn't an illusion.

The last detail on the blue screen said, "Every billion years, the consciousness of the leader of the Onni would organize a trial for the ruler, and if the ruler passed the trial, they would get an 'Absolute Stone!'."

The next and last line showed the timer of the trial, and it was a day before the protection period of ten years ended. It meant if he passed the test but failed to defend his territory after the protection period ended, he would still have an Absolute Stone.

Absolute Stone was a mythical object even for the beings of the third dimension. Until he lived in the third dimension, only once in the history of that dimension, a rumor about Absolute Stone emerged.

That rumor alone shook the entire dimension, and the search for it continued for trillions of years, only to stop when the Garuda found it. If Garuda weren't strong enough to overwhelm myriads of Primordial creatures at the same time, a war even crueler than the Asura-Titan war had erupted.

What made Absolute Stone so sought over was the energy inside it. It contained enough energy that if it were to self-destruct, the three dimensions would get disintegrated, and it still would have enough energy to repeat the process several times. It was a weapon of pure mass destruction.

There was also a rumor regarding the Absolute Stone. The rumor said that they contained a hint of the energy of the Devas. When the Garuda found it, he dismissed the gossip, but the tale still stayed, and many believed that Garuda had lied.

Eris didn't care for that. What Eris cared for was the endless energy contained inside it. If he were to use Absolute Stone as the energy source for an array, it could only be broken by Devas since no one other than them would be able to exhaust its energy.

There was an option of a {Tap to expand} near the Absolute Stone, so Eris tapped on it to see the details of it and couldn't help but become dumbfounded.

[Product: Absolute Stone,

Quality: Worst,

Details: The stone that contains the energy of creation(Absolute Energy) and the currency of the Devas.]

"Creation energy!"

It seemed that his surprises still hadn't come to an end. He exclaimed in shock when he read the details of the Absolute Stone.

"That's why it has endless energy," He muttered since he finally understood the reason behind the stone containing an endless amount of energy.

The quality of the Absolute Stone he might get was only the worst, but it didn't matter to him since anything related to the Devas, even if it's trash, would be equivalent to the best of the products of the other three dimensions.

Time flew by, and an hour passed.. Eris finally stopped thinking about the stone and waved his hands to make the blue screen disappear.
