As soon as Aakesh released the bowstring, the remaining Aisads, excluding the woman, attacked Aakesh.

The woman fell into a dilemma at that moment. She couldn't choose whether to help her fellow Aisads to eliminate a threat to Demonic-Fire or stay far from it to save her life.

Even though she was a peak Immortal, and only a few people had the ability to kill her before she escaped, she still didn't want to fight Aakesh.

She had two reasons for that. First, she still remembered the cold expression and confident tone when the blue-skinned man had threatened her. Also, the warning bells her intuition had sent her when she thought of fighting him. Second, she couldn't see the level of the intruder.

The other Aisads also felt threatened by Aakesh, but unlike the woman, they had to fight for the organization. They didn't belong to the royal family.

Aakesh felt attacks coming at him. Without waiting for anything, he activated the skill, Counter Shield.

Soon, an invisible energy barrier surrounded Aakesh as he shot another arrow, right at the head of the tied Aisad.

In her dilemma, the woman had even forgotten to free the Aisad, so he was like a tied chicken, waiting for its neck to be snapped.

"Crack!"

The invisible shield around Aakesh began cracking as it wasn't strong enough to handle even a single attack of a peak Immortal.

But, it did what Aakesh wanted from it. Even before activating, he knew the shield would fail even to put up a fight against the attackers, but Aakesh only wanted a split second to kill the tied Aisad.

Aakesh killed the tied Aisad by shooting tens of arrows right into his head. The Aisad was already in bad shape due to the torture he had received from Aakesh, so it failed to survive for long as its head burst, spreading his blood and brain matter all across the space.

"Why aren't you letting me intervene?"

An Aisad, entirely different from the Aisads fighting Aakesh, asked in anger.

It had nine spiky horns, with different kinds of fire engulfing each one. Unlike other Aisads, it only had a single black eye without any pupil.

It was none other than the leader of the Demonic-Fire and Nielle, the organization that had been eyeing the store.

Since the moment Aakesh entered the Universes under the Aisads control, he had been watching every action of the store owner.

He wanted to intervene right at the moment by using his entire apparatus to eliminate Aakesh when he appeared. But before he could do it, the owner of the voice hidden in the darkness intervened stopped him from doing anything.

"There is no point in you intervening," A voice in response, replied to the Aisad. It was filled with disappointment.

"Do you want me to watch while my organization gets DESTROYED?" The leader asked in response. His tone got louder and angrier at the end.

"Thud!"

Right at that moment, an invisible pressure stronger than anything he had ever faced, arrived and forced him to kneel in front of the darkness.

"Your organization?" The voice replied in a playful tone. The previous disappointment was nowhere to be heard.

The Aisad, already facing intense pressure, coughed blood in anger. He gritted his teeth as he attempted to look up and peer through the darkness, but the more attempts he made, the worse the situation became for him.

The Aisads wasn't a top race from the start, but they were only a mid-tier race.

Everything changed when Geoffrey, the leader, found a ruin.

That ruin not only allowed him to create one of the top five organizations, but it also made him one of the top three strongest Immortals, right below the Void Beasts.

These things didn't come for free as Geoffrey lost the ability to ascend as well as he owed everything to the leader of the ruin.

Thinking of him living forever and ruling a large part of a dimension made him forget about not being able to ascend. As for the second, he never thought the day would come as it happened countless years ago, and he also never thought that someone like the owner of the ruin would want anything from him.

Geoffrey's life went peacefully after that, but suddenly around half a month ago, strange darkness engulfed his garden.

Then a voice started giving him orders and directions to the store. At first, Geoffrey refused to entertain the voice as it asked for him to attack someone that even the voice couldn't. But when the voice showed its ability to control him completely and snatch him of everything he had gained until now, he had no choice but to do whatever the voice told him to.

Geoffrey had gotten a blood-linked Magic cultivation art from the ruin. It had a special ability that allowed the user to gain complete control of whoever trained through it.

Geoffrey at first used this to grow strong and then used it to establish his organization with entirely loyal members. Geoffrey never felt that it would be used against him as for him, the owner of the cultivation art was transcendental, but he was wrong. The art if it made him stand at peak, it similarly brought his fall.

The taunt of the voice made Geoffrey remember the past. He gritted his teeth in anger but didn't dare to speak anything else.

"Do as I say, or killing you would be the best thing that would happen to you," The voice then commented, seeing the actions of Geoffrey.

The next moment, the pressure on Geoffrey disappeared as if it was never there.

Seeing the pressure disappearing, Geoffrey stood up. Then his eyes fell on the screen that had been playing the scenes of the store owner since his arrival.

The store owner had succeeded in killing all the Aisads, except the woman. He was now talking with the woman, the only survivor of the group.

The woman was not only the only survivor, but she was also the blood descendant of Geoffrey. She was around a twentieth thousand granddaughter of his.

"What do you want me to do?" Geoffrey then looked toward the darkness as he expressionlessly asked.

"Nothing!" The voice replied.

Geoffrey's face turned pale, hearing the voice as he alternated his glance at the screen and the darkness.
