“You aren’t in an illusion. Come, sit with us. You would get all your answers,” Clamont commented as he had sensed Aakesh pricking his consciousness.

Since Aakesh wasn’t in an illusion and the treatment he was getting was real, Aakesh decided to sit and have a conversation with them.

“I am Aakesh,” Aakesh introduced himself as he sat down on his chair.

It wasn’t as comfortable as the chair on which Aakesh sat in the store, but he didn’t feel uncomfortable, so Aakesh didn’t ask the system for the chair.

“Hello, Aakesh,” Clamont smilingly responded.

“Let’s first eat something to celebrate the death of Gregory, and then I’ll answer a few of your questions,” Clamont added. He then looked at his wife, Chrysant.

She understood what Clamont wanted. The next moment, she waved her eagle claws, and soon, several varieties of dishes(Vegetarian and Non-vegetarian) appeared on the table.

“I don’t eat,” Aakesh expressionlessly told the group.

From the day Aakesh had opened his eyes, he hadn’t eaten anything since he had unlimited endurance and couldn’t feel hunger.

“Just have a single bite,” Chrysant requested to Aakesh since there was a guest, and she and her family wouldn’t feel good if the guest didn’t even have a bite.

“No,” Aakesh refused and moved away the plates lying near him on the table.

“Don’t force him,” Clamont told his wife, seeing that she was going to request Aakesh again.

Chrysant stopped while Clamont took a large chunk of meat lying on his plate, opened his mouth full wide, and shoved all the meat at once.

Chrym, the middle daughter, couldn’t help but giggle, seeing the way her father ate.

Time flew by.

After a good hour, the dining finally came to an end. Clamont alone ate three-fourths of the entire food on the table.

“Burp!”

Clamont burped and stroked his stomach after having a satisfying food experience, with a blissful expression spread across his face.

“Now you can ask your questions. If I think I can answer them, I will,” Clamont said to Aakesh after filling his stomach with food.

“Why are you treating me like this?” Aakesh asked the question lingering in his mind since the family of griffins had appeared here.

“Didn’t I already tell you? It’s for killing Gregory,” Clamont responded while still stroking his stomach.

“Who was Gregory?” Aakesh asked since he had been hearing this name since he had come here.

“Oh, you don’t even know him. Good for that bastard. His killer doesn’t even know his name,” Clamont smilingly answered and didn’t introduce Gregory.

“Now tell me the real reason behind your confidence in your appearance here in front of me,” Aakesh expressionlessly asked.

“Oh, that! It’s because you can’t kill me,” Clamont smilingly replied.

“See,” Clamont then moved his eagle-claws, and severed his head, showing that he could still talk and was alive even after his head was cut.

“Eh!” Aakesh exclaimed in surprise as the head was the weakest point of griffins, including Furry Griffins.

“You must be wondering the reason behind it,” Clamont said as he put his severed head back in its place, and in no time, it got connected as if it was never cut away.

Aakesh expressionlessly nodded as he was seriously wondering about the reason behind this ability of Clamont.

“It’s because of this territory. As long as I am inside any part of this territory, I am Immortal,” Clamont told Aakesh.

A disappointed expression appeared on Aakesh’s face as this ability of Clamont meant he would have to walk for another month to cross into another territory.

“Why are you conquering territories after territories?” Clamont asked as he was also curious to know the reason behind the sweeping measures of Aakesh.

Clamont didn’t know that Aakesh wasn’t from this part, but he came here through a portal. Clamont believed Aakesh to be from these parts and had imperial ambitions.

“I want to meet your ruler,” Aakesh expressionlessly answered. He told the truth as he had no issue sharing his goal with others.

For the first time, the everpresent smile on Clamont’s face disappeared, and a solemn expression took its place. Clamont wasn’t the only one. Everyone in his family had the same expression change after hearing Aakesh.

“Why would you want to kill yourself?” Clamont asked with a grave face.

“I just want to know about this world,” Aakesh responded expressionlessly.

Aakesh would lie if he said that he wasn’t surprised by the sudden change in reaction of Clamont and his family. But since Aakesh already had made the goal of reaching the ruler, nothing was going to change his mind unless he found out about this world from someone else.

“World? What’s a world?” A confused expression appeared on Clamont and his family members as he asked the question.

“I want to know about this place,” Aakesh simplified his response.

“To know about this place, you’re willing to die?” Clamont asked, with his confusion getting even bigger.

“The ruler is stronger than you think. Even if there were countless people like me, they still wouldn’t be able to survive against the ruler, let alone win,” Clamont further added as he wanted Aakesh to know the difference in power level between him and the ruler.

“It doesn’t matter how strong the ruler is? I have already decided to meet him once,” Aakesh expressionlessly told Clamont.

“You are being unreasonable here. Of Course, it matters. Your life is at stake here,” Clamont told Aakesh as he wanted to repay the favor to him.

Even though Aakesh killed Gregory for his own reasons, Clamont still accepted it as a favor done by him since Gregory was his most hated enemy.

Aakesh didn’t respond since he didn’t have a choice of ignoring the ruler.

Aakesh entered the portal for fun and excitement, so how could he ignore a high-level figure and run from it? He also didn’t know how to leave from here since there was no exit point he had come across until now.

The supreme card of the store didn’t work here, or Aakesh could leave and return anytime.

“Fine, since you don’t seem to change your mind, I wouldn’t attempt to stop you. I’ve already repaid my favor by warning you of the dangers of the ruler,” Clamont gave up and decided to stop suggesting Aakesh for not going in search of the ruler.
