Chapter 1107: Tantar and Buntar!

Tap! Tap! Tap!

Hearing the sound of footsteps coming from outside the store, Aakesh opened his eyes and turned in that direction, finding an unfamiliar face entering the store.

"Hello, store owner! How are you, store owner?" The man greeted Aakesh respectfully after approaching him.

Aakesh nodded in response to the greetings and waited for the man to ask the question.

"Store owner, I am Tantar, the son of Buntar," The man named Tantar introduced himself.

"I am Aakesh," Aakesh replied with his usual response. He recognized Buntar since he was one of the store's regular customers for the past few months.

"Store owner, my father is dead," Tantar suddenly announced.

***

Tantar belonged to the race Green-Spotted Demon. It was one of the races in the Demon group, known for the three distinct green spots on their bodies.

The three spots on their bodies were around their eyes and the single, curved horn they had above their forehead. Their skin tone was deep brown, and they had large physiques.

The Green-Spotted Demons were an upper medium race in the Demon group, and they had only recently reached that level, with them having their first Sacred King, and that was none other than Buntar, and the store had a role to play in that.

Three months ago, Buntar bought a divine quality Despair Sparrow from the store. At that time, Buntar was a peak Supreme God, having been at that level for seven hundred million years.

Buntar had lost all hope of going any further, but one of the skills of the Despair Sparrow gave him an epiphany, and three weeks later, he crossed the barrier, becoming the first-ever Sacred King in the Green-Spotted Demon race.

Tantar was a child Buntar had in his late years when he stopped having the hope of proceeding further, and even then he reached the peak of Higher God in less than ten million years, surpassing his father by a large margin.

The relationship between the father and son duo was tight, so Buntar talked about the store right after finding it. But since Tantar was preparing to enter a ruin with a group of other demons, he postponed his journey to the store.

The group successfully entered the ruin and even gained many valuable materials. But at the last stage, a problem arose.

When Tantar and his friends were in the last phase, a sudden space storm attacked them, separating them from each other.

Tantar thought he had surveyed the ruin, but then he found out how wrong he was as the space storm threw him into an unknown area of the ruin.

Since Tantar was a peak Higher God, he couldn't act cowardly and hide, so he decided to solve the issue on his own.

At first, Tantar received one success after another, boosting his confidence, but when he was fighting against a horde of Sertars, a race of evil creatures, he almost died.

From that point on, if he wanted to go ahead, he needed to cross the horde of Sertars. As for going back, there was no path, as he found his way back blocked by an invisible wall.

It wasn't enough, as every hour, one Sertar would come and attack him. If he killed it, two Sertars would attack him the next hour.

It was as if someone were playing a terrible game with him, but since there was no choice, he kept fighting.

When only one day had passed, the number of Sertar had grown to terrible and the battle was becoming difficult to win.

At that time, if Tantar wanted to survive, he only had one choice left, ask for help from his father.

Tantar persisted for a while, but when the number of Sertars reached a level that made him sense his doom, he called for help.

The help came, but it was only the start of the nightmare and not the end.

As Buntar was a Sacred King, it was easy for him to find Tartar. When he finally found his son, he found the situation to be worse than he had thought.

The leader of the Sertars was also a Sacred King, and when it sensed Buntar, it gave up on playing with its prey and attacked.

Buntar fought hard but turned out to be the weaker in the battle and died in the end. But before getting killed, he forced his son out of the ruin, saving him.

Aakesh nodded after hearing Tantar, but his expression was as indifferent as ever.

"Store owner, I want a Despair Sparrow," Tantar directly addressed his purpose and requested.

When Tantar told Aakesh about Buntar's death, he didn't want the store owner to avenge him or pity Tantar. He came here for the Despair Sparrow.

As the Despair Sparrow played a large role in Buntar's breakthrough, he became very fond of it. The one owned by Buntar also died in the ruin with him.

The Despair Sparrow forcefully summoned itself even when Buntar had no intention to do it since a Divine Being creature appearing in a fight of the Sacred Kings was no less than certain death.

Tantar wanted revenge for both his father and the Despair Sparrow, so he wanted to buy one for him as well.

"It depends on your luck," Aakesh replied.

Tantar had never summoned the Despair Sparrow, and he couldn't have it as his choice in summoning. What Buntar summoned had nothing to do with Tantar's summoning.

"I understand," Tantar responded. Since his father had informed him that once the store owner said something, there was no way to change it, he stopped his request.

"Thank you, store owner!" Tantar thanked Aakesh and then proceeded toward the beast's room.

After Tantar left, Aakesh heaved a deep sigh, hoping Buntar to reincarnate and have a great next life, and closed his eyes, beginning another of his relaxation session.

When Tantar entered the room, there were already three people inside the room, so he joined the queue and began waiting for his turn.

Several minutes later, his turn finally arrived. When he saw the beasts on the nine sections, his heart fluctuated, thinking of having one of the three he liked.

But Tantar took a deep breath and pushed the switch, only the thought of having the Despair Sparrow remained in his head.
