After Lucian washed himself, he took fresh clothing out of his wardrobe and looked at himself in the mirror.

“*~ Sigh ~* These are my one of my last pairs of acceptable clothing. Ah, who cares if those pigs think I’m not noble enough.” Lucian spoke to himself after looking at his reflection.

Lucian went out of his room and walked downstairs towards the dining hall. On the way there, he passed empty and corridors, which once were filled with expensive paintings and decorations, but now were bald and cold.

Standing in front of a big wooden door, Lucian pondered about something before finally opening the heavy door and entering the dining hall.

He went to the 10m long table in the center of the room and sat down at the middle, waiting for Alfred and his sister.

The door opened after a short time and Alfred came in. He did also change his clothing, although it wasn’t noticeable, as his wardrobe consisted of the same dark navy butler suits.

Only 4 minutes passed, and the wooden door opened again, however this time it was Aileen.

“Sorry Lucian, it took me a lil’ bit longer” Aileen smiled as she spoke to her brother. She also sat down at the middle of the table in front of her brother.

“Don’t worry Ai” Lucian smiled back.

“Young masters, I will serve you today’s dinner” Alfred brought two meals with lids on top to the table. He lifted the lids simultaneously and presented today’s dinner. As the lids were lifted, a heavenly scent assaulted the noses of the two youths.

“Potato soup with meat from the ground!” Alfred announced with a hint of pride in his voice.

“What?! Meat from the ground?!” Aileen cried out, as she never would have guessed that she would eat monster meat ever again.

Not only was ground meat expensive because it came from the ground, but also because it was soaked with an abundant amount of mana since it came from monsters! However, not all monsters were edible.

“Isn’t it too expensive?” Lucian was also delighted seeing the monster meat, but he still couldn’t forget their current financial situation.

“It’s not every day that you graduate from the school! Furthermore, I think you definitely deserved a little present for your efforts!”

“Thank you, Alfred!” Aileen and Lucian thanked their loyal butler.

“I hope you also try the monster meat, Alfred” Lucian said before starting to eat.

“Don’t worry young lord, there is plenty leftover in the kitchen, I will eat what you didn’t managed to.” Alfred reassured Lucian.

“Good” Lucian nodded as he bit into the meat.

The young noble started eating their soup.

“~ Mhhmmm~ so good!” Aileen spoke with smiling eyes. Her tea orange eyes looked like that of a cat whenever she was delighted.

“True!” Lucian agreed with his twin sister.

“Brother, are you ready for our first day at the academy tomorrow?” Aileen asked her brother carefully.

“Don’t worry Aileen, whatever people say, I don’t care”

“That’s right and you still have me there!” Aileen said motivated.

Lucian was pondering about his mansion, as he ate the soup.

“Alfred, have you already packed our stuff?” Lucian asked his butler.

“Yes, young lord. Everything is ready for your departure tomorrow.”

“Mhm, thank you, Alfred”

After 2 hours of talking and dining, Alfred noticed the nightfall.

“Young masters, it’s time for your rest” Alfred suggested Lucian and Aileen.

“Let’s go to bed, shall we?” Lucian asked his sister.

“Mhm” Aileen agreed.

The next day, Lucian woke up and had breakfast with his sister. They finished their meal and went outside in front of their mansion.

“Young masters, we’re ready” said Alfred after bringing the same carriage as yesterday.

Aileen went in first, followed by her brother.

As they both sat on the old leather seats, the carriages started to move and Aileen laid her head on Lucians’ chest.

The carriage passed streets full of poor looking apartment buildings. Masses of people were flowing through those streets like waves on a stormy night. Most of those people were commoners.

As they saw the carriage moving through the streets, they split to let them pass. Some had envy and some had fear on their face.

Sky cities had one major flaw, they had no room for expansion and with the passing of time they would become overcrowded. Cloud City wasn’t the smallest sky city, however, every nook and cranny had been already stuffed. The lack of space forced the citizens to build upwards, the creation of apartment buildings.

However, it was only the case for the commoner area in the city, as the noble area offered plenty of space. You could even find parks full of greenery there!.

Lucian looked at the mass of people and frowned. ‘Was it such a good idea to build the sky cities? There is already little space here and with the increase in population there will be chaos. Luckily we are still seen as nobles, because I can’t imagine what life would be like otherwise.’

Lucian closed the curtains.

“Lucian, do you think we will live in the same dorm?” Aileen asked her brother, while her head lied on his chest.

“I don’t think so. The dorms are separated into 3 buildings: the copper dorm, the silver dorm and the gold dorm. Like you might already think, the Cloud Academy allocates you your dorm based on your skills and talent. So in your case, you might go to the silver or gold dorm, while I will get the copper dorm” Lucian explained to his sister how the dorms worked. Unlike Aileen, he liked to read and learn every useful information to balance out his lack of magical talent.

Aileen frowned.

“Don’t worry, we will still see each other” Lucian patted her head.

“I hope so” murmured Aileen.
