Bang! Bang! Bang!

“We’re from the Disciple Disciplinary Hall, open up immediately!!”

Along with the loud banging, this shout reverberated across the courtyard.

The disciples that came for Li Shen’s seminar were startled and came outside to look at what was going on.

More than a dozen young men and women were gathered in the front courtyard to see Lihua opening the front gates.

A male and female disciple in black robes barged in.

Seeing them looking around gave the disciple strange feelings.

“Why is the Disciple Disciplinary Hall here?”

“Haven’t you heard? Rumors are going around that Elder brother is supposedly brainwashing us.”

“What?! That ridiculous statement again, I bet this was spread by the Stormy Violet Sword Faction.”

After the two disciples from the Disciplinary Hall recover from their shock of seeing how different the courtyard inside was compared to looking from the outside, they turned their attention to Lihua and asked.

“Where’s the disciple Li Shen, tell him he’s being summoned to the Disciplinary Hall.”

Lihua, who was frowning after practically being pushed aside, open her mouth to speak but a disciple from the crowd suddenly shouted.

“This isn’t right!! What did our Elder brother do wrong?! Is the Academy really going to believe those ridiculous rumors?!”

After that, a few more disciples spoke up.

“That’s right, if the Sword Pavilion or the Academy thinks Elder brother is doing such things why not examine us to see if true!”

They suddenly stepped forward towards the two.

The male and female disciples frowned at this before the male disciple turned to them and barked.

“Get back!!”

A burst of his late-stage Foundation Realm pushed back the numerous disciples.

The ones in front expressions turn ashen while the ones at the back that weren’t affected as much catch those who were knocked back.

“W-What’s with him? Why react like that?”

The male disciple hearing those complaints snorted and gave them a mocking sneer before saying.

“All you low-grade Inner Disciple failures are pitiful. Why struggle in the academy and take up space and resources? You should just be thrown out, to join those rouge cultivators outside.”

The disciples were first taken aback, but they quickly realize what type of person this was. He was one of those disciples with Sky-grade innate talent that saw disciples like them as eyesores.

“You-Aren’t the Disciplinary Hall members supposed to be impartial? Insulting us so blatantly is going overboard!”

That male disciple frowned and fully turned his attention to the person who spoke.

“Overboard? Do you think that’s overboard? Why don’t you step forward and say that again.”

“What?”

That disciple took a step back when he heard those words. He wasn’t going to step forward when this person from the Disciplinary Hall couldn’t look more corrupt.

The male disciple's eyes narrowed when he saw him take a step back, before saying.

“Ignoring the orders of some from the Disciplinary Hall is six months in solitary confinement.”

A whip that glistened with a black luster appeared in his hand. The end, which had a bone-chilling appearance of six curved metal prongs that would hook and dig into someone’s flesh, let out a thud as it fell to the ground.

Just before the male disciple flicked his wrist to send the whip flying towards that disciple his calm voice echoed out.

“Anyone who interferes will suffer an even harsher punishment.”

The disciples that were about to step forward hesitated for a brief moment.

Lihua seeing this had her face darken, but the female disciple stood in front of her, blocking her from interfering.

With the slightest of provocation and questioning of his actions, this disciple from the Disciplinary Hall deemed it fit to use a weapon that was reserved for disciples who have committed grave sins in the Sword Pavilion.

This just goes to show how little he thought of disciples that came from the Outer Academy.

However, just before the whip could reach that frightened disciple, a figure appeared in front of him and a loud crisp ding echoed out.

The male disciple felt a terrifying force travel from the end of the whip into his hand causing him to involuntary let go.

The momentum of the whip didn’t stop and it crash into the wall, its runes lit up preventing it from being damaged but the runes flash nonstop and the wall shook intensely.

This showed the immense force of the strike it obtained.

All eyes turned from the shaking wall to see Li Shen retrieving his folded fan.

Turning to the disciple the attack was aimed towards, Li Shen asked.

“Are you alright?”

That disciple nodded his head, he couldn’t open his mouth to speak since facing the attack from someone of that cultivation level had scared him to the point he was moments away from shitty his pants.

After, Li Shen turned to male and female disciples and said.

“Aren’t you two here to escort me to the Disciplinary Hall? What’s with your shitty behavior?”

Flap.

Li Shen flipped open his fan and casually started fanning himself as he approached the male disciple.

The male disciple instinctively took a step back.

No one had sensed it, but a terrifying aura for a split second had burst from Li Shen to bombard his sense.

His mouth had gone dry and cold sweat began to perspire from his back to soak his robes.

As Li Shen slowly approach him he couldn’t get the fearful sensation out of his heart, and a feeling of being suffocated by it increased by the second.

Despite Li Shen’s simple steps and casual demeanor to others, to him, it felt like Li Shen had a hand wrapped around his heart and was squeezing it tighter in rhythm with his steps.

Li Shen’s soft-sounding steps seemed to pound ceaselessly against his mind like a battering ram. His senses had heightened to the extreme and every movement from LI Shen at this moment brought with it palpable dread.

As Li Shen came closer that male disciple went a step back once again, but his legs buckled under him.

Heart thumping against his chest, he saw the image of a petal that gave off a dark and wrathful sensation floating behind Li Shen while giving off a blood-red glow.

A terror-stricken expression overtook his face and he instinctively brought his hands up to shield his face.

“No, please don’t hurt me!”

However, as he waited for something to happen he only felt a slight breeze as Li Shen brushed past him.

That male disciple had become so frightened that his crotch had become soaked, evident he had wet himself in fear.

Everyone who saw this couldn’t just describe what they were feeling as simply being confused, but utterly baffled.

“Did-Did that guy just pissed himself?”

A late-stage Foundation Realm expert that had formed his 7th Divine Platform had pissed himself, this was the first time these disciples had witnessed such a scene.

Li Shen after reaching the gate turned to the two once again and asked.

“Aren’t we leaving?”

The male disciple on the ground flinched and he hurriedly stood up, almost seeming to not realize he had embarrassed himself in front of a crowd of people.

He hurriedly rushed pasted Li Shen with his head lowered, while the female disciple was wearing a questioning expression.

“You forgot your whip.”

The male disciple stiffen before he turned around and headed for his whip.

The fear he once felt was slightly faded, and now an embarrassment for his previous behavior engulfed him as he tried to ignore the weird stares directed at him from the disciples in the courtyard.

Just before leaving the courtyard, Li Shen turned to the group of disciples and said.

“I might not be able to conduct this morning’s session, but feel free to wait for the evening one.”

With that, he turned and walked out, following the two to the Disciplinary Hall.

“Elder brother said he’ll be here for the evening session, does that mean he isn’t worried about this?”

“Of course he isn’t, those rumors could hardly be considered anything but propaganda. But forget that, did you see that arrogant disciple’s reaction to Elder brother?”

“Yeah, that shit was hilarious, he actually pissed himself, what a fool!”

“But now, I’m wondering how strong is Elder brother’s physique. That person was a late-stage Foundation Realm but he easily deflected that attack from him.”

As the disciples piled back into the hall they chatted amongst themselves, and they seemed to have become much closer.

They were feeling indignation from being treated like trash by that male disciple, but now, after seeing him in that state they couldn’t help but burst out laughing. It was like all the pent-up frustration from over the years, being called waste and useless low-grade Inner Disciple, they now had an outlet vent.

A representation of the bullies they once hated and feared had been humiliated, causing the inferiority complex they once had to be greatly diminished. It was something they would relish for the rest of their lives.

And his was what Li Shen's intentions were, not only did he have to build up these disciples' once stagnant cultivations, but also their confidence in themselves.

Using means like this was a part of the process he had been implementing over the years. And it worked like a charm each time.
