Eyes focused on Mu Fan, Li Shen couldn’t help but mumble.

“He wasn’t lying when he said he was holding back. To think he would gain control over his Blade Will like this, is it because of the saber? He’s somehow able to separate a part of his Blade will and embedded it into that saber to slowly nurture it. This is actually really scary.”

If Mu Fan could nature that piece of Blade Will in his saber, it could become a fully formed Blade Will that he could use like his Saber Qi or Blade Intent without repercussions. Adding that to his original Blade Will in his body and the strength he would be capable of wielding in the future was unimaginable.

“But this might be too dangerous. This isn’t a technique for sparring, it’s a technique for killing.”

Li Shen frowned and wondered if he should stop the battle. But he looked at Jun and seeing his determined expression, he opted to sit back and watch.

He could tell Mu Fan wasn’t the only one who had been holding back something in their spar.

Down below, Jun look around both him and Mu Fan to feel that the entire area had become his domain.

He felt like thousands of sabers were in the sky above and on the ground below, was all pointed at him ready to attack him.

Mu Fan himself was strange as well. His overbearing aura was gone, what replaced it was a calm and peaceful aura.

DING!

Mu Fan with his eyes still closed suddenly flicked the part of his saber that was pulled from its sheath. It created a crystal clear ring that reverberated in the world at a high pitch frequency.

Ripples soon cover the battlefield and Jun looked up as he sensed intangible sabers forming in those ripples.

Waaang~

Waaang~

Waaang~

Those intangible sabers let out weird noises as they trembled before piercing the void to shoot towards him.

Jun left afterimages in the surroundings as he dodged them all.

But after a couple of minutes of this attack, he began to frown. His eyes landed on Mu Fan, he was in the same position. He had basically become a long-range attacker with this.

Jun tried to approach him but ten meters around him was a zone of death, that was where the power of his Blade Will was the strongest.

And just like that, the tide of battle shifted in Mu Fan’s favor. Jun was now the one on the opposite end that was trying to approach him but was unable to.

Ding!

Ding!

Ding!

Mu Fan’s taps on his saber increased and so did the sabers forming around Jun.

They seemed to be endless as they showed no signs of stopping.

Jun continued to dodge and would deflect the sabers he couldn't, all while he racked his brain to figure out the best way to beat Mu Fan.

However, the serene aura around Mu Fan increased. The pitch of his taps against his saber changed and with that, his saber attack pattern changed as well.

“Ugh!”

Jun barely deflected one of the sabers, it brush past his shoulder slicing away his robes and drawing blood.

Mu Fan’s saber attacks had become more organized and were now attacking in formations. What was even more frustrating to Jun, was that the sabers seemed to be reading his movements.

It was Mu Fan. He seemed to be omnipresent in this area and had analyzed Jun's dodging patterns, then have his sabers attack in formations.

Jun found it increasingly difficult to stop these barrage of saber attacks.

‘This is so unfair, what kind of broken ability is this?!’

Jun screamed internally but had no idea Mu Fan had felt the same sentiments as him during their earlier clashes.

Jun gritted his teeth before he turned to Mu Fan. His wings slightly moved and he appeared in front of him, however, Jun’s senses of danger flared.

The ten-meter area around Mu Fan produced a terrifying amount of Blade Intent in that moment that encapsulated him. If Jun ever dared to enter this domain he would be cut into pieces.

However, Jun’s eyes showed his frustration and he channeled that frustration into his next action. He hefted his spear and like a javelin threw it towards Mu Fan.

Like a shooting star, his spear released a resplendent glow as it tore through the void and Mu Fan’s Blade Intent protection.

Mu Fan’s eyes flew open and he quickly sidestepped the spear. The Spear Intent coating the spear batted against Mu Fan’s face as it passed.

Mu Fan’s heart shook and he swallowed a large gulp. Turning towards Jun Mu Fan roared with a stutter.

“Y-Ya fucking bastard! Were ya trying to kill me?!!”

Mu Fan’s eyes were wide open and he look to be ready to charge towards Jun and hack him to death.

However, Jun paid him no mind and instead focused on his Blade Intent Domain which was destabilizing.

“As I thought, you can’t move or lose focus when you use this technique.”

Mu Fan gave Jun an ugly look when he heard that, however, he suddenly flicked his saber. As a loud ring echoed out, Jun’s spear which had turned around by itself and was aiming at him was deflected.

Jun waved his hand and his spear heeded his command as it created an arc in the air and returned to him.

The Blade Intent Domain might have stabilized but Mu Fan had lost his omnipresence in the area, making his control significantly more weaker.

Though never the less, Jun was still unable to approach him.

Mu Fan snorted before saying.

“I’ll end it in the next move, whatever trump card your hiding you better take it out.”

As Mu Fan said that he pulled his saber nearly 2/5 of the way out of its sheath.

Jun felt that the Blade Intent Domain strength increased by several folds, and this made his expression turn solemn.

Without Mu Fan doing anything, his saber suddenly began releasing high-pitch rings on its own. The sounds released were not random if anything they sounded like a song. As the pitches of the rings shifted into different ranges, it was like various instruments were coming together to create a symphony.

This was Mu Fan’s Blade Symphony revealing itself.

Li Shen smiled at the musical nature of the attack. Even though it wasn't a Soul Attack, it still had some musical elements to it.

Using the musical rhythm, the Blade Intent wielded by the user would develop a flow of attack. With a slight shift in the musical rhythm, the attacks take on a whole new flow. With this, the attacks become unpredictable and easy to control.

Jun’s figure slowly lowered onto the ground.

This was Mu Fan’s last attack. The symphony shifted and the Blade Intent encapsulating the surroundings slowly gathered together to form an intangible Heavenly Saber pointing at the sky.

Jun’s hand around his spear tightened. The feeling he got from this saber was similar to the attack Mu Fan was preparing to carry out to save Fei Yin.

This was Mu Fan’s second Blade Will that hasn’t yet fully formed, but for some reason, it already had strength close to the original.

That was terrifying to think about.

The symphony increased in volume as the Blade Intent Domain fully gathered into the Heavenly Saber.

Mu Fan looked at Jun seriously, then all of a sudden the loud cacophony of rings cuts off.

Mu Fan at this time slowly raised his hand and flicked his saber.

DING!!!

A deafening high-pitched sound rang out and as if that was a signal, the Heavenly Blade above Mu Fan burst forth with a terrifying aura that spread into the surroundings.

Jun frowned at this, the strength of the saber just increased.

“This is as strong as an early-stage Core Formation cultivator’s attack.”

Jun mumbled, but his heart suddenly sank when he saw Mu Fan raising his hand to flick his saber once again.

One ring to create a symphony.

Two rings to create the earth.

Three rings to create the sky.

Four rings to completely form the Mortal Plane.

By the fifth ring, Mu Fan’s body shook and his face turned slightly pale.

At each ring, the Heavenly Saber’s strength increased to an absurd degree.

Jun felt the strength of the saber and it nearly rivaled the strength of a late-stage Core Formation cultivator.

He was shocked.

He had seen Mu Fan use his Blade Will before when he dealt the killing blow to one of the late-stage Core Formation cultivators that attacked their courtyard.

But he had lost an arm and nearly died back then. However, now he was here using it once again, this time with no such consequence.

It seemed like he had taken Li Shen’s advice to create multiple trump cards to use over and over literally.

His trump card now became a technique he could use in battle.

Mu Fan had fixed his flaw, and Li Shen from his position was smiling at that fact.

But what about Jun, was he still that immature brat that would let his emotions dictate his actions?

Mu Fan unable to create the fifth ring, let out a roar instead as he decided to have his Heavenly Saber slash down onto Jun.

Jun could have used his speed to interrupt Mu Fan’s attack, but he let him carry it out.

It wasn’t an immature decision, it was a decision made from his confidence in his abilities.

Jun wished he could have a do-over and battle Xian once again. With the strength he had now, he was sure he could have won.

As the Heavenly Saber fell towards him, Jun didn’t move but instead closed his eyes.

Drip.

The sound of water filled Jun’s ears as he opened his eyes.

Below him, water reached up to his ankle. He seemed to have been transported into a dark void.

Jun turn his head behind him and the view that greeted him was that of terrifying large white Kun Peng. Its eyes were closed like it was sleeping.

Jun raised his left hand and placed it on the Kun Peng’s forehead. He then said.

“Wake up for a sec, I need your help.”

Jun’s voice barely came out in a whisper but the Kun Pend heard it clearly and its two large eyes slowly cracked open.

Jun closed his own eyes and lifted his spear in his right hand and pointed it forward.

In the outside world, his physical body did the same.

Golden light then began to seep from the Kun Peng’s eyes, meanwhile, a golden tattoo of a Kun Peng slowly formed on Jun's forehead.

At that moment, the Heavenly Saber that Mu Fan went all out creating. The Heavenly Saber which was equal in strength to a late-stage Core Formation Realm cultivator, suddenly stopped, before disappearing.

The battlefield was thus plunged into silence.

Mu Fan’s face stiffen at this and he looked on completely dumbfounded by what just happened.

Li Shen who was preparing to act if Jun was ever in danger had the exact same reaction.

“Eh? Isn’t that… but how?”

Was the only thing he managed to say after a while as he stared blankly at Jun.

Mu Fan whose face was deathly pale opened his mouth and asked.

“You-What the hell did you just do?”

Jun opened his eyes while the golden tattoo of the Kun Peng on his forehead faded away.

He opened his mouth but the only thing that came out was a fountain of blood. It dyed his white robes red. Unable to stand, his body tilted as it began to fall.

However, Mu Fan suddenly moved and appeared next to him and propped him up on his shoulder.

As Li Shen was looking at Jun with shining eyes, out of nowhere a voice asked.

“Master, what did junior disciple just do?”

“AHHH!!”

Tai who was caught off guard by the sudden voice let out a yell of surprise. He turned his head to see Yang Su sitting in a seiza position in front of Li Shen and him.

He appeared out of nowhere.

Tai looked at him and swallowed a large lump of his saliva.

Terrifying.

As soon as Yang Su’s voice echoed a terrifying aura appeared.

Mu Fan and Jun’s bodies shook as they sense this aura. Their heads shot towards Li Shen's direction to see a disheveled Yang Su looking in their direction.

Even from this distance, they could sense just how great his strength was.

“Another demon has just been added to the group. But what’s with that bastard’s aura? It just appeared all of a sudden, almost frighten me to death.”

Jun looked towards Yang Su and his fist slightly clenched. Mu Fan was right, Yang Su’s aura was strange.

Cultivators of their level had a natural ability to sense any change in Qi Fluctuations. Their senses were like a radar that could tell them when anyone was approaching.

What was strange was that they had only sensed Tai and Li Shen’s presence over there. But Yang Su’s aura just appeared on their radar without any indication or warning. They had been so used to trusting this ability that having it fail them sent them into shock.

Similarly, Tai had this occur to him, but it was even greater than theirs as Yang Su was right in front of him.

The only one who wasn't surprised was Li Shen.

Turning to Yang Su with a smile, Li Shen said.

“That was Karma.”

“Karma…?”

Yang Su said with a thoughtful expression.

“Karma could be used like that? Its extremely powerful, but it seems like junior brother can’t fully control it.”

Li Shen nodded.

Turning from Jun and Mu Fan, Yang Su placed his hands on the ground in front of him before he bowed to Li Shen.

“I have returned, Master.”
