Quite some time passed as Li Shen and the others waited for Lihua’s return.

Li Shen was meditating while Tai lazily leaned against his back with what seemed like a bored expression on his face. He would ever so often take out an Illusory Void Fruit and snack on it, and by the looks of it, he had plenty of them.

Meanwhile, Yang Su, Jun, Mu Fan, and Fei Yin were seated in a circle. For some reason, Mu Fan was shivering uncontrollably. But at the same time, his clothes looked like they were burnt to a crisp.

Some distance away from them the signs of a battle were seen.

Mu Fan had overbearingly challenged Yang Su to a spar, but to no one’s surprise, he was completely defeated.

And not just oh he put up a fight but was eventually outmatched no. From the very start of the match, Mu Fan didn’t stand a chance.

Jun’s defensive Spear Arts had been great enough to shut down his advance and restricted his ability to display his Blade Arts fully, but battling Yang Su he couldn’t even enter a twenty-meter radius of him much less carry out a decent attack on him.

Yang Su’s ability to multicast two or more Dadaist Spells was just too terrifying. And the speed at which he cast them, Mu Fan was bombarded by spell after spell until he was overwhelmed.

He had used his undeveloped Blade Will but because he had battled Jun before, his attack was only as strong as a mid-stage Core Formation Realm cultivator.

Mu Fan had wanted to force Yang Su to use his full strength, as he found it annoying that he was just standing still while spells flew at him left and right. With his hands behind his back, Yang Su even looked like he was trying to mimic Li Shen’s carefree attitude.

But even with his Blade Will, Mu Fan had only made Yang Su move his hand. And that was him forming a hand seal to create a massive golem hand that rose from the earth to meet his Heavenly Blade.

By the end of everything Mu Fan was cold, soaked from head to toe, and his body was wracked by pain. He was bitter to the extreme.

“You, where did ya get those Daoist Magic spells? I’ve never seen you use any of them before.”

Yang Su calmly replied.

“After I created my first Divine Platform, I realized that the techniques and spells I learned from the Academy were weaker for some reason. After a while, I finally found out that it wasn’t because they were outdated, but that they were created for persons who cultivated one Qi Element. They were unsuitable for me who has all of them, so… I created my own.”

Jun was surprised by that.

“Senior brother, that's amazing.”

He couldn't help but say. Only high-level cultivators could create Daoist Magic who had experience casing them and a deep understanding of them. it wasn't impossible for people below the Nascent Soul Realm to create spells, but it was abnormal how strong the ones Yang Su created were.

“Huff!"

Mu Fan suddenly let out an annoyed huff.

"No wonder you can cast them so easily, it’s because you created them. But don’t get full of yourself, those spells are only powerful because of the abundance of Qi you use. There are numerous flaws in them I could have exploited if I was stronger.”

Mu Fan was unwilling to admit defeat, right now his mind was plagued with the intention to break into the Core Formation Realm.

He wasn’t able to use the full power of his Master’s Blade Symphony in conjunction with his Blade Will, because of his limited cultivation.

Mu Fan clenched his fist and gritted his teeth, but soon enough they started clacking together due to him being cold.

Fei Yin who was silent all this while raised his hand and placed it on his Mu Fan’s shoulder.

Mu Fan scowled and went to move to slap away his hand away as he was still upset with him. But strong fluctuations of Wood Qi suddenly rose from the trunk beneath him and wash over his body.

The frigid Qi that was running rampant in his body was instantly shoved out to be replaced with a calm and soothing sensation. His aching muscles as well were healed.

Mu Fan didn’t get to slap away his hand because the pleasure he got from the Wood Qi washing over his body was too much. It wasn’t supposed to feel this good.

After a couple of seconds, Fei Yin finally removed his hand from Mu Fan, whose expression was completely blanked out.

He had never felt so relaxed and comfortable in his entire life. The experience was so good it was hard to describe.

Fei Yin looked at his hand slightly shocked.

Yang Su and Jun who were caught off guard by the abundance of Wood Qi that suddenly appeared looked at him with surprise as well.

Yang Su especially, feeling the pure Wood Qi his eyes flickered.

“Brother Yin, w-what was that just now?”

Fei Yin looked away from his hand and said.

“I didn’t mean to use little sister Qiang’s energy. I was just trying to use my own and this happened.”

Fei Yin had on an apologetic expression as he looked towards the top of the tree.

The leaves of the Guardian Tree were seen swaying as if Qiang was saying it was fine. Judging by the tree’s size, Fei Yin could do that for a couple of thousand years and its energy wouldn't show signs of depleting.

“Junior brother Yin, could you do the same to me?”

Yang Su asked.

Fei Yin wore a hesitant expression, but Jun seeing Mu Fan’s reaction got curious and spoke up as well.

“Brother Yin, could you do it to me as well? I'm still quite injured.”

Fei Yin looked at Yang Su and Jun staring at him. He finally relented and without touching them, he willed it, and energy from the below rush into Yang Su and Jun’s bodies.

Jun immediately let out a cry of surprise but was immediately followed by a moan of pleasure.

Fei Yin seeing his and Yang Su’s expressions didn’t know how to feel. This situation had become extremely strange.

Mu Fan who had recovered saw Jun and Yang Su were getting benefits and turned to stare at Fei Yin.

Fei Yin saw his stare and he release a warily smile before he made the energy wash over Mu Fan as well.

Feeling the strong Wood Qi fluctuations, Li Shen couldn’t help but look over at the group. Seeing what was happening and the expressions on Jun, Yang Su, and Mu Fan’s faces, he sported a weird look.

“W-What are they doing? Don’t they know what that type of Qi is?”

Li Shen then released a laugh in amusement.

The Wood Qi from this tree was extremely different from what one would find in the surroundings. It was Wood Qi that had gone through the process of photosynthesis and as it did, it gained some properties afterwards.

This Wood Qi was no different from an Aphrodisiac.

Seeing how they were relishing the feeling, Li Shen couldn’t stop his laughter.

“Hm?”

As Li Shen was wiping away his tears, he sensed someone approaching the area.

Soon enough, he saw the elegant figure of Lihua appear where the boys were.

Li Shen moved to say something but he paused, it was already too late, something awkward was bound to happen at this point.

Over where the boys were, Lihua glanced at everyone before asking confused.

“What are you all doing?”

Hearing her soothing voice entering their ears, Jun, Yang Su, and Mu Fan opened their eyes to see Lihua.

Jun seeing Lihua showed a happy expression.

“Senior sister Lihua, you’ve returned!”

He yelled in the same tone of voice his expression showed.

Mu Fan meanwhile, looked at Lihua’s hair which had streaks of deep blue. He frowned and turned to look at Yang Su’s ruby red hair, Jun’s pure white hair, and then Fei Yin’s hair which had green highlights at the ends.

Mu Fan sported a strange expression, but it soon turned to hesitation as he grabbed a strand of his plain black hair. As he looked at it a thoughtful expression was seen on his face and he seemed to be in conflict with making a decision.

‘No, they’re the weird ones, why should I dye my hair?’
