‘Huh, it seems that my casual trip to the Inner Disciple Section wasn’t in vain. I had only used 20% of my power in this strike as compared to the 15% I used to beat that useless fool from before since he looked more powerful. But I seemed to have underestimated him a bit.’

Thinking that to himself, the youth’s eyes flashed before he increased his power to thirty percent and push against Yang Su’s palm to overpower him, but was completely taken aback when it didn’t even budge an inch.

The elder who was off to the side had his eyes almost falling out of his head when he saw that Yang Su had managed to blocked this youth’s attack.

‘Swoosh!’

Yang Su’s left fist shot out towards the youth’s face, but the youth made a casual move to deflect it to the side having it barely missed his left cheek.

The youth then lifted his right leg to send a kick to Yang Su’s stomach, but it was quickly blocked by Yang Su who raised his leg as soon as the youth made his move.

‘Thud!’

‘Thud!’

‘Thud!’

Blow after blow was exchanged, and each of these blows from both the youth and Yang Su was aimed at each other’s weakest area on the body with fast and precise precision.

The disciples down below were watching this simple, but rather fast pace exchange of blows between the two, with intense focus.

However, the elder off to the side of the stage, as well as the youth, had the sensation of shock growing in their heart as Yang Su blocked and counterattack each blow.

The youth was increasing the power of his strikes each time Yang Su blocked one, but even as he was using up to seventy percent of his physical strength Yang Su was still matching him blow for blow.

Looking at Yang Su, the youth suddenly got the feeling that he was holding back just as much power as he was.

This realization made the youth narrow his eyes into slits.

‘Swoosh!’

Yang Su leaped off the ground slightly and sent his left leg whipping out at the youth’s head, but the youth didn’t block like before and only let Yang Su's leg approach him.

But before it could hit him though, his figure once again vanished like before and appeared behind Yang Su's unguarded back, sending out his fist.

The youth had decided to use his movement technique to outmatch Yang Su in speed, but to his shock once again, Yang Su used speed no less than his own to dodge his fist and move to his side and sent out a lightning-like fist of his own towards him, that ultimately connected to the side of his cheek with a loud thud.

The youth was knocked back, but it was only for a few steps before he slowly turned his head to look at Yang Su.

Yang Su could see anger blazing in the youth’s eyes as if he couldn’t believe he had hit him in his face.

This made confusion well up in Yang Su’s heart.

It was a match, wasn’t he suppose to hit him in the face? It wasn’t like he was good-looking or anything.

As Yang Su thought that in his mind, the youth’s cold eyes bore into Yang Su as he said, “It seems I’ve underestimated you once again.”

Hearing that Yang Su wonder if the youth had underestimated him before, but the youth spoke up again before he could think further on that.

“I didn’t think that among the Inner Disciples there would be someone capable of even standing up to one move from me. Fine then, you’re a worthy opponent for me to use more than just my martial arts.”

As the youth said that, his body began releasing an oppressive aura that caused some of the disciples down below to take several steps back in shock.

The aura the youth was releasing was completely terrifying, it was much stronger than Shiming’s own.

However, what happened next caused the disciples to have dumbfounded expressions on their faces.

On the youth’s face and arms, several weird markings started to appear, before a red aura that gave off a foreboding sense of slaughter blazed to life from his body and engulf half the stage in a red hue.

The chilling sensation in the disciples' hearts amplified even more, and they immediately retreated further from the stage. Looking at the youth, they suddenly got the sense that a Demon God of slaughter had just descended from the heavens to possess this youth’s body.

The experts in the surroundings, when seeing the Slaughter Qi surrounding this youth finally figured out his identity.

Xi Shen, upon seeing the Slaughter Qi around this youth said, “This youth is cultivating Slaughter Qi? This is the first time since I’ve reincarnated in this era that I have seen someone who wasn’t cultivating one of the Six Qi Elements at the start of their cultivation. Cultivating Slaughter Qi would give one a lot more power if they were to start their cultivation with one of the Six Qi Elements, but there are massive downsides to it as well. If this youth isn’t careful, in the future the murderous nature of the Slaughter Qi could consume his thoughts and eventually turn him into a mindless puppet that only knows how to kill indiscriminately.”

Xi Shen was looking at the Slaughter Qi with extreme interest. When he first reincarnated, he had immediately gone to seek out information on this era as soon as he was old enough to walk.

Even though he had read about numerous things, including the current state of the surrounding continents, the various levels of cultivation up to the Soul Transformation Realm, as well as information on Spirit Artifact, runes, and cultivation techniques, his information could be considered to be very limited.

This was a new era, and everything here was new to Xi Shen. He also had a long way to go to understand the types of Qis that the Chaos Qi he had tried to absorb in his past life had created in this era as well.

Thoughts about leaving this little Continent and going out to explore the God Domain to see how different it had become were swirling around his mind from time to time, but as he was now he couldn’t.

He needed to gain a sufficient amount of strength before he left this safe haven. There were dangers out there he couldn’t face as yet.

So for the time being he’ll just cultivate and build up his strength, while he did whatever he wanted and just enjoy this slightly peaceful life until he goes about doing his business.

After all, he was unable to do that in past life given the circumstances he was in back then.

Though now that he was the second prince of a Continent, he’ll live as peacefully as he could before his ambitions ignited. Because once it did, there was no turning back to having a peaceful life.

However, there were some problems with that plan of his as seeing that there was a hidden power struggle brewing under this peaceful facade of the Continent.

As Xi Shen was thinking that, back on the stage Yang Su looked at the youth with a rather solemn expression. Then slowly, he began releasing his Fire Qi into the surroundings in preparation to battle this youth at full power.

But before the intense battle could kick-off, a completely furious voice boomed over everyone’s heads.

“Ling Xia!!”

Hearing this deafening voice suddenly coming out of nowhere, everyone looked up in the sky completely stunned.

Then with wide eyes, they saw the clouds above the mountain begin swirling around violently like an enrage God had just appeared in the sky.

Soon after, the face of a young man appeared within the clouds. His features were made up entirely of the clouds, but everyone could still see that his expression showed one of complete anger.

On the stage, the Slaughter Qi slowly dissipated from around the youth, and his appearance was revealed. He currently sported an ugly expression as he looked towards the enormous face in the clouds.

With total annoyance in ‘her’ voice, Ling Xia said, “What do you want?”

To everyone’s surprise, Ling Xia’s voice that had sounded like a boy before, turn feminine as she spoke. Everyone then came to realize that this boy was actually a girl in disguise!

Hearing the tone of the girl’s voice, the face in the clouds contorted into a more enrage expression, before bellowing, “What do I want?!! I left my seclusion only to hear that you have gone missing from the Conclave Disciple mountain! And imagine my surprise when I found you mingling with these lowly Inner and Outer Disciples. Return to the Conclave Disciple Section immediately and stop fooling around!!”

Ling Xia suddenly pouted, which to the disciple looked quite strange since she still had on her male disguise, before she said, “Ling Tian I don’t have to listen to you, I can go anywhere I want to go!!”

All the disciples suddenly had their jaws to the floor when they heard Ling Xia calling the face in the clouds Ling Tian.

“W-wait, does she mean the legendary sword genius Ling Tian?! The number one genius of our Celestial Academy!!”

A disciple cried out in shock as he stared at the face in the clouds with disbelief.

A ruckus was kicked up among the disciples as they couldn’t believe their eldest senior brother Ling Tian was here.

Xi Shen in his chair was glancing up at this Ling Tian curiously, however, a thought suddenly struck him before he quickly looked down at Ling Xia on the stage.

“Huh, this is quite interesting. That girl has the same surname as Ling Tian, could it be his…”

Before Xi Shen could finish his sentence, Ling Tian’s projection in the clouds responded to Ling Xia’s comment.

“I’m your older brother, so I have all right to tell you what to do.. And I’m telling you to return to the Conclave Disciple Section immediately or else.”
