History has a strange way of mocking us for what we did in the past and it's now biting us in the ass William Howard Taft thought as he was sworn in office and the first bill he was planning for now is to restructure the state department and further enforce that the United States would not interfere with European affairs.
Of course, Theodor didn't quite like Taft's conservatism that America shouldn't interfere with Europe at all and feared that isolationism was on the rise in the US.
But Theodore agreed on one thing that the defense of the Panama canal was necessary at least since the US Economy is suffering because of it.
As William was pondering on how to achieve world peace where there's no wars and tried to pass arbitrary treaties with Great Britain and France. But failed completely as the Senate was not willing to yield constitutional prerogative to approve treaties.
Taft in his first year of presidency was filled with controversy as his tariff question was met with criticism and the tariff debate escalated and even the amendment was passed, the tariff only was stable for lumber. Which made taf disappointed as he tried until his last year of presidency to rectify it but never got far.
Secondly Taft tried to offer a free trade with Canada but was immediately refused as the Canadian government didn't want america encroaching on Canada's economy and it's trade. Canada even tried to threaten to close its borders to america at one point, to which Taft relented and didn't offer anything more during his first term.
Taft's Secretary of State then knocked at the office to which after a few knocks, the secretary of Taft entered.
"Mr. President, the secretary of state Knox wants to see you."
Taft grunted away "Call him in."
The secretary nodded and closed the door. A minute later, the door was opened by the secretary again, but this time Knox entered as the secretary closed it to give them some privacy.
"Your presidency is taking some hits, William." Knox said, as he sat down on the couch in front of the desk and waited for Taft's answer.
"I know. But what can I do? The Senate hates me for some reason. The republican party is out for my blood. Can't say I'm hated more than Roosevelt right about now."
Knox Scoffed "I'm not surprised at all. Considering you and Roosevelt had an argument that even the Senate is gossiping about lately."
Taft sighed rather tiredly since he was tired discussing the rumor that has been circulating and the topic related to the argument was that Taft and Roosevelt argued on the enforcement of the Monroe doctrine and that William was promoting isolationism and hoping that Latin America will bend the knee to america.
To which Roosevelt criticized Taft for. What made Roosevelt pissed is that William had an idea to let the Philippines be an independent country to which Roosevelt walked out at that point as he said his piece.
"The rumors will die out eventually. Roosevelt and I just had an argument, that's all."
Knox raised his eyebrows "I hope so, since this is your second term already and the first 100 days of you being president is being heavily criticized. Specially on your Mexico crisis maneuver"
Taft flinched at that as he didn't realize how bad it was since he supported Diaz to take over mexico. Which wasn't a good idea at the time because the Mexicans didn't quite like Diaz due to a scandal. And him visiting mexico amplified the problem.
"Worse case scenario, we will have to send troops to pacify Mexico and remove its dictatorship to install our puppet."
Knox just nodded at Taft's choice and moved on to another topic.
"Any news on Panama William? Our investors are getting a Bit antsy because Britain is seeking to secure a trade with the Nicaraguans."
Taft shifted in his seat, and grabbed the document detailing the Panama project.
"It's going good so far. although we will have to occupy Nicaragua for an indefinite time. We also have occupied Columbia with the help of the rebel forces, to which they accepted being the puppet of us for now."
"I'd imagine the Columbians didn't take the occupations too well."
"No they don't. But they don't have a choice. Taft grunted at the blatant words of Knox as Taft angrily stared at the document he was holding and tossed it aside as he rubbed his temples.
"Bad news I concur?" Knox inquired.
"Yes. The Chinese deal that I personally see through, failed as the Chinese are going on a revolution as of now. And our assets there are either requisitioned or sold back to us. And I'm reluctant to support this Chinese named Sun Yat Sen. In his words, 'A democratic China is the way the Chinese can survive, hence we will announce to the world that we will be the Chinese republic.' although I'm inclined to agree to increase trade with Japan as of now."
Knox nodded as he pondered for a moment before speaking his thoughts.
"The Japanese are…a hardworking bunch of people I must say since we already have a Japanese community here. Although I hope we increase our tightness on immigration policy towards the Asian Pacific and Europe."
Taft nodded "I agree. I'm also una. It of a bind right now due to the Antitrust act"
Knox nodded slightly as he knew the anti trust act is a can of worms that will never go away. "Don't worry William. Although Roosevelt is criticizing you since you rectified the anti trust act. I'm sure the changes will matter in the future. Knox said, giving Taft some confidence. To which it helped somewhat.
"Then what about the Charleston Massacre Mr.president?" Knox said, knowing Taft's answer but still asked anyway.
"What about it? The governor of south Carolina did the right thing by calling martial law. I'm also enacting that our African Americans or the black people should be working hard labor in our factories. And only a select few would be given proper education to pacify them." Taft reminded Knox of the outcome of this incident.
"So we will not compensate the families who have died?"
"No. Why would we? We can compensate only a few of them to save publicity and face the media to eat and be forgotten with time." Taft stated.
"I see. Then what about the Germans who are taking away some of them? Reports have shown that they arrived at Charleston almost a year ago and have been ferrying the African Americans with luggage. Which is a sign that they're leaving."
Taft hummed a bit "So they're helping the blacks?"
"Afraid so William"
Taft angrily banged his fist onto the desk
"Who do the Germans think they are? They don't own our people. But we can't fucking do anything since the Germans have the backing of our companies. So all we can do is watch."
Knox nodded "the southern states are becoming more restless as the days go by. You sure not pass the bill that allows the African-american to have jobs at least instead of a farm life?" Knox inquired again
"No. I refuse. They don't bring any benefits to us except being a farmer or maybe a soldier at least. Other than that, they will not be allowed to work in civilian sectors for now unless something drastically changes."
Knox sighed at the selfishness of Taft and just dropped the topic all together.
"Are you gonna run again in the next election?" Knox was curious since Taft is still somewhat popular in some states
"Yes. And I plan to do so to undermine Roosevelt's plans. A rift has already formed between us anyways." Taft said, resolute and firm with his decision. Knox nodded and stood up as he prepared to leave.
"I'll be seeing you again Mr. President and our investments that we made in Germany has returned two fold which is a good move for us to make money while it's hot. I'll be informing you more on the matter in the future. Goodbye Mr.President." Knox then left the oval office as Taft was left to his own devices and ignored the Charleston Massacre to which it will have grave consequences.

[3rd Person POV]
Charleston has become worse in time as a full on revolution has sparked in the city as roadblocks were set up and the governor sent in the army to kill whoever is armed. Which didn't clarify much as even with someone holding a bottle, they were shot dead. Which angered the blacks staying there even more as it felt like hell and back in the slavery days again.
The King family whose fighting for their own right, felt that living in America was a death sentence and applied to join the next ship to Germany to which yes, it is an uncertain future..but a future here in america is already dead.
With body counts high, and the Americans slaughtering even children which is disgusting in itself.
Their was even accounts of the Americans raping the black women before taking them away in prison. Which demoralized some of the black men and angered them even more.
They knew this wouldn't go unanswered. But the Governor of South Carolina even had the gall to display African Americans In a gruesome manner in a podium with arms and legs missing, dripping blood and exhausted looks. As the crowd with white and blacks mixed watched.
"This is what happens to traitors of America! If you don't follow our rules, you will be hanged and killed like the rest of your ancestors!" The governor shouted as he gave the order to kill the already half dead African Americans. And tossed their body onto a mass grave with only a cross marking.
Some states even forcefully did this knowing an uprising would ruin them. Hence the army was sent down to even pacify the people. Which prompted for the blacks to have no choice but to flee in the ports where reports of German ships welcoming them with open arms.
There was even one incident where German soldiers who volunteered to go to Charleston described a brutal and disgusting way the Americans treated the blacks.
"These Americans didn't care if it was human or not. As long as it's a different skin color, they will kill for the fun of it, rape for the fun of it, and brainwash the said child or have them killed as well. This is inhumane on many levels as I was a member of the Society and the Saintess taught us that America isn't as gracious as they may seem and we saw firsthand how the Americans disregard such a race that has a lot of potential. The saintess stated. Hence we will commence Operation Eagle Eye to save as many of them as possible and I'll establish a small city just for them to live on and start a new life.
And for that, the German soldiers who volunteered agreed to be sent to America, specifically Charleston to defend the train station that they were using for now and one of the docks. But there was one incident that shook the soldiers to their core.
Meanwhile just 1 mile before the German temporarily controlled train station.
A family of 4 was fleeing in a car heading for the train station as gunshots rang out in their general direction as the father tried to dodge the bullets as best as he could.
"Don't worry honey we are gonna be okay, once we get there, they can't touch us anymore. I promise" the Father hastily said while he looked at his wife, and his son and daughter that are old enough to know what's going on as the daughter fearfully said while crying. "Are we g-gonna die mom d-dad?"
"No we are not honey, we are very close." The mother reassured them. As the son was about to speak, they're tire took a hit from the bullets and nearly crashed the car but stabilized it to only crash in front of the tree.
Having a mild concussion, the father ignored his pain and shouted "HURRY, THEY'RE COMING GO TO THE TRAIN STATION!" He shouted as he grabbed his rifle and 2 boxes under his seat and prepared to defend himself as his wife shouted "Be safe honey please."
"Sorry dear. But please live on with the kids. I'll send these bastards to hell." The wife nodded as they ran on foot. Heading to the train station that was just a short distance away.
A minute later, 3 cars armed with men approached the damaged car and was about to comment on something when a shot rang out and killed him.
The men immediately hid and found the man aiming for them and fired back.
After what seemed a one sided firefight, the man inevitably ran out of ammo and tried to run but was shot in the leg for doing so.
Multiple men approached him and pinched, kicked and even used the butt of the rifle to hit his face.
"YOU THINK YOU'RE SO TOUGH HUH? IT TOOK ME MONTHS! Months to train these men! And you just fcking ruined it! Fycking blacks should just die during the civil war. Once we're finished with you, we will rape your wife. And sell your kids to the black market. I heard they like children there, especially young and virgin children hehe" the man spoke with such imagination as he also thought he would get rich quickly by selling them and having fun with his wife.
But the father wasn't having any of it as grabbed 2 grenades that were stolen during an armed robbery years ago.
He removed the pin and grabbed the knife from his waist and stabbed the man.
The others were shocked at this action, as they were about to kill the father, but realized something dropped at their feet and saw 2 grenades.
They all panicked as they tried to run away along with the stabbed man cursing racial slurs and threatening to kill his entire line age.
The father then shouted his name before dying to the grenades dropped by him "My name is Martin Luther King Sr! And this is my revenge!" After that, the grenades exploded. Leaving with 8 dead Americans at their wake.
Hearing the explosion, the mother stopped for a moment then moved on as the train station was at their sites and salvation was ever near.
But a gunshot rang out, and Delia (Mother) dropped to her knees as she was shot in the leg.
The kids stopped but Delia shouted, "GO! DON'T LOOK BACK! " Both of the kids hesitated as Delia shouted again as she heard dogs in the distance along with men with rifles and Delia shouted again "GO! I love you both…just go and live! Mommy will be right behind you." Delia forcefully smiled as she kissed her daughter and son one last time before they ran as quickly as they could.
Seeing her children run, Delia held comfort that they would survive and live a long life. As she steeled herself and faced the incoming dogs and 'poachers' as Delia would call them as Delia grabbed a pistol in her person and tried and successfully shooting 2 more men before resolving herself once more as she saw the dogs were near her and said these last words.
"Martin…I'm coming…god please save our children" before pointing the pistol to her temple and shooting herself.
A gunshot rang out as she layed on the ground lifeless, but with a light smile on her face as the men who arrived cursed and shouted to find the kids.
The dogs then went to mutilate Delia's corpse by biting to her legs, tearing her flesh and biting her arms as the men who were left there laughed and shouted more
The kids, nearly out of stamina, kept running as the train station was just there before they heard dogs again and ran even faster, their body took over as adrenaline surged in their veins. They didn't care about anything except in front of them. But her sister tripped on a rock and fell down hard on the ground. Martin junior tried to pick up her sister. And as he did, the dogs were in front of them and we're about to pounce on them.
Both of them hugged each other and prayed. But before the dog could reach them, an automatic fire rang in the air as both dogs were shot dead along with some of the soldiers arriving to aid the kids.
"You'll be fine kids..you'll be fine.." volunteer soldier, spoke as he escorted them to the train that was full of blacks, cried as they thanked the soldier.
For the remaining soldiers who were on watch, they threatened the men who glared at the German soldiers and demanded to return their property.
"Leave now, or do you want to join the dogs in the ground?" One soldier threatened as he pointed to the newly made MP40 (Erika10) that was used for this mission.
The men hesitated then retreated, vowing to enact revenge on the Germans for losing their property.
"What has America turned into Fred?" One soldier asked
"I don't know Hermann. But I'm glad I'm helping out these people as the Saintess showed us the truth. They're more useful to us than dead even though they're a different race. I'm sure the Saintess has plans for them in the future. I just follow orders." Fred monologues.
"True. Let's move men, we have a train to escort to the docks."
The rest nodded as the train finally departed to the Charleston port and after 3 weeks in the sea, the children of Martin and Delia finally arrived at the port of Königsburg and were given temporary homes for now in an orphanage as they can't own a house as of yet in Germany until they reach a certain year to apply for German citizenship.
But in the future, both of them will change their names to Martin Luther King Koenig Jr. along with her sister Christine King Koenig. And respectively, Martin would join the navy and Christine would join the Luftwaffe and the society.
One thing for sure, they'll enact revenge if an opportunity arises.
