A different user. A different universe. But still the same Game and/or Reality(?)

John wakes up on his 18th birthday only to discover that almost every aspect of his life has turned into some kind of video games mechanics.
Alone, he finds himself in some kind of secret supernatural society just below reality's surface. They're closer than he thinks, and he has to adapt & learn, fast, or he will be swallowed by the Abyss, used, played, or worse, gone & forgotten.

Fortunately he has his new power, but the question remains, will that be enough?
