Seeing that Su Han was unhappy, Jason smiled apologetically. “Are you mad at me?”
Su Han gave him the cold shoulder. She picked up another kebab and enjoyed it with keen pleasure.
Lu Jia’er, who was sitting at the other side, tried to meditate for them. “She is not mad. She is just hungry. Everything will be fine after she is full!”
Hearing this, Su Han glared at Lu Jia’er. Su Han picked up a mutton kebab and gave it to Lu Jia’er. “You can use that mouth to eat in addition to talking!”
Jason looked at both of them and added more apologetically words to Su Han. “Su Han, I am sorry. I have been so busy that I have ignored you!”
Still, Su Han ignored Jason. She took a sip of her beer and said to Lu Jia’er with a smile, “Nothing in the world is better than kebab with beer. Finally, I feel I have come back to life!”
Lu Jia’er rarely saw Su Han so pretentious like this. The former burst into laughter. “Now that you have come back to life, I will not stay here and stand in the way of your romance!” With that said, Lu Jia’er stood up and was about to leave.
Su Han grabbed her hand at once. “Leave after I’ve finished here if you absolutely have to leave!”
Lu Jia’er freed herself from Su Han’s hand and said, “I am not interested in being the third wheel. You’ll just have to watch me leave.”
“Wait!” Su Han stopped her again.
Lu Jia’er looked at her, only to hear Su Han say, “Tell the owner that I want 10 more pieces of mutton kebab!”
Lu Jia’er broke into laughter. “Fine, got it!”
After Lu Jia’er left, Jason sized Su Han up and down, carefully. It had been almost two weeks since they met last time. Su Han was as stunning as before but Jason had entirely different feelings about her.
Back in Thailand, he was very interested in her. However, at this moment, he was perplexed. Seeing her drinking and enjoying kebab, he could not believe that she was AI, or at least not swear on his life anyway.
Su Han, sensed that Jason was staring at her and glared at him. “Is this your first time seeing a beautiful girl?”
Jason nodded at once. “Yes, this is my first time!”
Su Han cast another glare at him. “If you are busy, then keep working. What are you doing here with me?”
Jason was grinning cheekily. “I am seeking romance with my girlfriend, of course!”
“So, you do remember I am your girlfriend!” Su Han replied sourly.
“I am sorry. I have little experience in dating. I don’t know what I should do in relationships!” Jason said.
Su Han picked on Jason at once. “It is only natural that someone like you will remain single for life!”
“That is what my friends and family say about me.” Jason nodded, agreeing to what Su Han said.
Su Han burst into laughter. Jason was relieved that Su Han was laughing now. “Don’t be mad with me now!”
“I am not mad. I have been busy myself. I wouldn’t have had time even if you asked me out.” Su Han said.
“Have you turned in your manuscript?” asked Jason.
“Yes!” Su Han nodded.
“If so, take a good rest,” said Jason.
“Of course. I plan to take a month off!” Su Han replied.
Jason looked at Su Han. Their conversation was on trivial everyday matters, just like those between any couple. But who could possibly know that this woman sitting in front of him was an AI?
Jason recently did some research on all the books that Su Han had written. She was an up-and-coming young star on the rise in the literary world. The themes of her books varied widely. She was a remarkably gifted writer and her stories were exciting. In three years, she had published almost 10 novels, six of which, when the book market was sluggish, achieved a sales volume of over one hundred and fifty thousand. She was a prolific writer and her books sold well.
She had always been mysterious to the public. The readers did not know what she looked like, or if she was a she or a he. In some forums about literature online, there were stories and rumors about her. But many held the opinion that the whole thing was just a publicity stunt.
Nevertheless, be it a publicity stunt or not, her actual strength was a fact. If she was an AI, then she was set to be a writer. Writing was involved in the AI developed by BUA as well, but not nearly as good as Su Han.
That being said, Jason was still uncertain if Lu Jia’er and Su Han were AI. Su Han, who was right in front of him, was no different from an average lady. On the other hand, Jason had had experience dealing with the ghost that hacked Jin Xiangdong’s laptop. Maybe, the things in this world known to humans were not everything.
Jason had shown himself in front of Su Han just because he hoped to find out what she really was.
Lu Jia’er walked to the parking lot in high heels. All of a sudden, a man dashed out from nowhere, grabbed her bag and then ran away like crazy.
Lu Jia’er staggered and almost fell to the ground when she was supported by a strong hand.
She was getting a deja vu. Lu Jia’er looked up and was about to say thank you but no sound came out from her mouth.
That was because the person she saw was Jin Xiangdong.

Lu Jia’er was startled. The next second, Jin Xiangdong let go of her and ran toward the direction the bag-snatcher had gone to.
Lu Jia’er was still suffering from a shock. Everything that happened just now made her incapable of moving. She stood on the spot for a while, in a trance. By the time she came back to her senses, Jin Xiangdong had already gotten her bag and was running back to her.
Lu Jia’er looked at him as he came closer and closer to her. The hero rescued a beauty. As a matter of fact, this was the first time she was in the role of the beauty.
Jin Xiangdong walked to Lu Jia’er and handed over her bag. However, instead of taking over the bag at once, Lu Jia’er asked, “Jin, what is your play now?”
Jin Xiangdong looked at her. “What do you mean?”
“Are you playing a hero rescuing a beauty?” Lu Jia’er asked again, raising her eyebrows.
Jin Xiangdong understood what she was implying. “Are you saying that I am the one that planned that robbery?”
“What else can it be?” Lu Jia’er shrugged.
She fell victim to robbery and he happened to come to her rescue and took her bag back. This act was full of loopholes and clumsy!
“A knave thinks of others in terms of his own desires!” Jin Xiangdong stuffed the bag into her hand.
Hearing this, Lu Jia’er sneered, “Is this funny to you?”
“Last time, I took you to a hypnosis session without your permission. And I apologized to you formally. But it was a total coincidence to meet you here!” Jin Xiangdong explained.
“You may fool others but do not forget what I do for a living!” Lu Jia’er said.
Jin Xiangdong shook his head and sighed. “I should not have helped you!” with that said, he turned around and walked away.
Lu Jia’er looked as he went and groaned. She headed toward her car. When she pulled the door open and was about to get inside, she closed the door, took her bag and came back to go after Jin Xiangdong.
She saw him going toward the restaurant where she and Su Han had kebab. Su Han and Jason were greeting Jin Xiangdong warmly.
Lu Jia’er wondered if she had really misunderstood him.
So she misunderstood him, so what? She had always found his behavior unfathomable.
Lu Jia’er turned around and was about to leave, only to bump into a passer-by. She felt chilliness on her chest.
“I am sorry, so sorry!” The girl that bumped into her apologized at once.
Lu Jia’er lowered her head. Her clothes around her chest was soaked with green liquid. Since she was wearing white dress, the stain stood out. Because her dress got wet, it stuck on her skin. Her breasts were faintly showing.
“I am sorry. I didn’t mean it!” The girl apologized to Lu Jia’er again.
Lu Jia’er felt tonight turned out to be strange. She used her bag to cover up her chest. She didn’t make a big fuss about this. “It’s okay.”
“Do you need me to pay for your dry cleaning?” The girl asked.
“That won’t be necessary!” Lu Jia’er waved her hand. Right at that moment, someone reached out his hands and put a light beige suit jacket on her.
Another act of hero saving the beauty! Lu Jia’er was in a daze for a moment. She turned around slowly, only to see Jin Xiangdong again.
They stood there and looked into each other’s eyes. Lu Jia’er did not know how to describe this surreal night. Soon, Su Han and Jason came running over.
“Again, I am deeply sorry!” That girl apologized again.
Lu Jia’er stared at that girl. To be frank, the first thing that came to her mind was if this girl was planted by Jin Xiangdong.
That being said, that girl didn’t seem to be acting. She must have bumped into Lu Jia’er unwittingly.
“It’s all right. Off you go now.” Lu Jia’er told the girl to leave.
As that girl left, Lu Jia’er turned to Jin Xiangdong, who was standing by her side, holding her shoulders. His tall figure cast a shadow over her and she was leaning on his chest like a little woman in love. Somehow, she was getting a familiar feeling.
Looking at her, Jin Xiangdong slowly relaxed his grip on her shoulders.
“Jia’er, is everything fine? Have you been hurt?” Su Han asked, her voice filled with concern.
“I am fine. Just got some drink spilled on me.” Lu Jia’er replied, with her hands pressed on the suit jacket that Jin Xiangdong put on her.
“Ace told us just now that your bag was snatched by someone in the parking lot, Professor Lu!” Jason said.
Hearing this, Lu Jia’er could not help but turn to Jin Xiangdong. With the suit jacket off, the close-fitting black T-shirt accentuated his sexy figure. When he looked at her, tenderness was flowing in his eyes, which made her feel creeped out.
Lu Jia’er did not want to spend another second with him. “You can go back and enjoy your meal. I will leave you to it,” she said.
What she heard was the familiar voice that was Jin Xiangdong’s, “I will give you a ride back!”
Lu Jia’er refused without thinking, “No, thank you!”
