While that was the idea on Su Han’s mind, she said something entirely different. “Wasting things is shameful.”

Lu Jia’er turned around to look at Su Han. “Was it Jason that bought the tickets?”

Su Han nodded. “Yes!”

Lu Jia’er could not help but complain, “Is Jason dim-witted or what?”

Su Han retorted in Jason’s defense at once. “He invites you to a movie but you call him dim-witted. How ungrateful you are!”

Even though Su Han was defending Jason, Lu Jia’er was not offended. She said with a smile, “Alright, I wronged a kind-hearted person. I am ungrateful!”

“Suit yourself. I am going to go and get changed.” Su Han went back to her own bedroom.

When Su Han finished and came out, she saw Lu Jia’er had already changed as well.

Su Han smiled. “You have changed your mind?”

Lu Jia’er replied. “You said that wasting things is shameful. I just did some research on that Sci-fi movie. We can wear VR gadgets. I have not experienced that before so, I want to take a look. But this is the only time I am willing to be a third wheel!”

Su Han put a finger under Lu Jia’er’s chin. “I don’t need you to tell me. I will not allow it to be repeated.”

Su Han and Lu Jia’er went to grab dinner first and then went to the movie theatre together. Su Han went to collect their tickets while Lu Jia’er went to buy three packs of popcorn and three cups of coke.

They sat in the lounge to wait for Jason, eating the popcorn and browsing their phones.

A moment later, they heard a familiar voice. “I am sorry to make you wait!”

Su Han looked up and saw Jason, who was blessed with a slender figure, right in front of her. Only that there was another person with him.

She understood now that Jason was up to something when he bought three movie tickets. He was setting up a trap.

Lu Jia’er looked up and saw Jin Xiangdong that came with Jason. Lu Jia’er could not help but feel regret. As a matter of fact, when she was invited, she had wondered if Jin Xiangdong was going to come. But she interpreted that thought as she was being overly sensitive.

As it turned out, there was no free dinner, nor free movie.

Su Han knew that Lu Jia’er disliked Jin Xiangdong and that Jason’s intention was clear to make this arrangement. While angry, Su Han could not blame Jason in front of everyone. She just smiled and said, “Jason, you and Jin Xiangdong are really inseparable.”

“When we got off work, I mentioned that I was going to a movie. Ace heard that this movie is a VR one so he tagged along. Professor Lu, you wouldn’t mind, would you?” Jason said to Lu Jia’er, smiling.

But Lu Jia’er was not nearly as sweet talker as Su Han. The former said directly, “What if I say I do mind?”

“If you do mind, I will leave with Ace and you can enjoy the movie with Su Han!” Jason replied.

Lu Jia’er threw Jason a glance and did not sugar coat her answer at all. “Go ahead!”

As soon as she said so, things became awkward. Jason now had witnessed how determined Lu Jia’er could be and he seemed to understand the aloof beauty Jin Xiangdong referred to. Men, as masculine beings, would feel their desire to conquer stimulated by women that would not spare at glance for them.

“Professor Lu, you are hilarious. But since we are all here, let’s watch it together!” Jason tried to smooth things over.

“I will leave. Enjoy yourselves!” Lu Jia’er refused.

Since Lu Jia’er claimed she was going to leave, Jin Xiangdong, who had not said one word, said, “The more you escape from me, the more I am convinced that you are falling in love with me!”

Lu Jia’er was taken aback. Then, she sneered. “Falling in love with you? How narcissistic you are!”

“What else can it be? If you have nothing to hide, what is the harm of watching a movie with me?” Jin Xiangdong replied with a question, looking into her eyes.

“Goading is not going to work!” Lu Jia’er answered coldly.

Jin Xiangdong said. “Then do not use escape to cover up your fear!”

Lu Jia’er could not help but grin grimly again when she heard this. “I am telling you. I will not fall into your trap!” with that said, she was ready to leave.

But Jin Xiangdong reached out his arm to stop her. “You are absolutely not adorable right now!”

Lu Jia’er looked up at him. “I do have an adorable side but that is exclusive to my boyfriend!”

This answer made Jin Xiangdong feel disturbed. He lowered his eyes in frustration.

Jason stood out at once. “Professor Lu, it is just one movie, no big deal!”

Lu Jia’er turned around and said to Jason, “Jason, I came here as a third wheel against my will on the account that you are Su Han’s boyfriend and we worked together for a month. But I did not foresee that you are up to something. You create this opportunity while fully aware that I have a boyfriend. Don’t you think your behavior is entirely inappropriate?”

Scolded by Lu Jia’er, Jason was in a hurry. “Yes, it is inappropriate. But Ace was your colleague as well. You are not willing to grant him this little favor? Now, even I am wondering if you are afraid that you will fall in love with him, just like he said!”

Hearing this, Lu Jia’er was ruffled. When she was about to reply, Su Han interrupted. “Jason, what are you talking about? Can’t we just have a nice date? You two can go and watch the movie. We will leave!”

Jason grabbed Su Han’s hand at once. “Those two are the ones that should leave. We will enjoy the film ourselves!” With that said, he looked at his watch. “The movie is about to start. Let’s go!”

Jason dragged Su Han to the ticket check while she was completely confused by his unreasonable moves.

“Wait!” Su Han stopped.

Jason did not let her go. Su Han said, vexed. “Popcorn and coke!”

Jason now understood what Su Han was really asking for but his answer was, “I will buy you later!” Then, he dragged Su Han to the ticket check.

Lu Jia’er and Jin Xiangdong, who were left outside, looked at each other. Lu Jia’er went and passed by Jin Xiangdong directly. Surprisingly, Jin Xiangdong did not grab her arm, though he was following her.

Lu Jia’er hated him going after her like this but she could not help but think contemplate what he just said. As a matter of fact, this was not the first time she was bothered by an obsessed pursuer. In the past, Lu Jia’er could deal with them calmly and coldly. On the surface, this time she was the same but something appeared to be different as well.

She was getting angry. She wanted to escape. She never had such complicated feelings. Maybe, what she was feeling now had everything to do with his crazy actions.

At the elevator, Lu Jia’er pushed the button and completely ignored Jin Xiangdong’s presence.

The door opened and Lu Jia’er stepped in, with Jin Xiangdong following her.

Apart from the two of them, there was another girl in the elevator. It was quiet here and the elevator was going down.

This was a glass elevator. People could see outside and that was what Lu Jia’er was doing while Jin Xiangdong was staring at her with eyes for nothing else.

Lu Jia’er was feeling upset from his stares. Finally, she could no longer stand it. She glared at him. “I can introduce you to the best psychologist in the country!”

Hearing this, Jin Xiangdong grinned. The next second, he pulled Lu Jia’er into his arms. When Lu Jia’er was struggling to get free, Jin Xiangdong lowered his head and kissed her on the lips.

The girl standing next to them was completely shaken by the scene.

But Jin Xiangdong was not in the mood to mind this. He held Lu Jia’er’s waist tightly and kissed the lady in his arms, tenderly and passionately.

So what if she was AI? She felt so real to him. Her body was warm and her red lips were soft. As far as he could tell, she was just another human lady.

Body against body and lips on lips. Lu Jia’er felt as though this sense of intimacy was familiar. Something flashed by in Lu Jia’er’s mind. She had a sense that this had happened before.

What was going on? Lu Jia’er tried to struggle, to fight back. She used all fours but was not a match with Jin Xiangdong’s strength. His hands held her in a tight grip.

It was the second time that Jin Xiangdong forced a kiss. Offended, Lu Jia’er became furious. The next second, Jin Xiangdong frowned because he tasted blood in his mouth.

But Jin Xiangdong did not let her go. Out of rage, Lu Jia’er bit him again.

This time, Jin Xiangdong let go. Lu Jia’er was bristling up in anger and she slapped him on the face.

That slap stunned the girl next to them again. She was lucky that she was not descending from a high floor. Soon, the first floor arrived and the girl ran away in a hurry.

The elevator continued down. Lu Jia’er glared at Jin Xiangdong. “Jin Xiangdong, wait for the lawyer’s letter!”

Jin Xiangdong took out his handkerchief from his pocket and wiped his mouth. “I have never met this sassy side of you before! Now, I know that you are a pussycat doll!” He grinned.

Those flirting words made Lu Jia’er feel shameful. She opened her eyes wide.

Jin Xiangdong wiped his mouth again. When he was about to tease her again, he noticed Lu Jia’er’s looks on him were changing. She was staring at his lips.

Jin Xiangdong had known what she was observing. He moved in closer. Lu Jia’er stepped back unconsciously but her eyes were fixed on his lips. She clearly had seen some blood stains. But after he wiped his mouth, there was no mark of a wound.

Lu Jia’er thought she was seeing things. She even rubbed her eyes involuntarily so she could see Jin Xiangdong’s lips more clearly.

Lu Jia’er’s looks carried both surprise and curiosity. Jin Xiangdong grinned. “My lips are sexy, aren’t they?”

At this moment, Lu Jia’er did not care about his narcissistic remark at all. She just asked in shock. “What are you?”
