The meeting had finished. Jin Xiangdong had left with the coffee cup before Lu Jia’er even began to help clean up the conference table on her own initiative, but she was stopped by a gentlemen.
“Professor Lu, we are accustomed to being self-supporting and self-sufficient! You can go get started with your own work!” Li Zheng said.
Lu Jia’er cast a glance at everyone and said with a smile, “Our team boasts so many glorious traditions!”
“Glorious tradition? Are you referring to cleaning and putting things away?” Li Zheng asked.
“Besides that, I received likes on the Moments collectively from the team yesterday!” Lu Jia’er smiled.
On hearing her talk about the team giving likes collectively, the eyes of several gentlemen became somewhat ambiguous.
“The glorious tradition of our team is great, isn’t it!”Jason smiled cheerfully.
“Yes, it’s great!” Lu Jia’er looked at him and nodded.
…
After the meeting, everyone set out to handle their work at hand and Lu Jia’er also immersed herself in her work.
Because there were lectures in the afternoon, Lu Jia’er left for the university after finishing her work in the morning and ran into Jin Xiangdong when she took the elevator.
“Are you going back to school?” asked Jin Xiangdong.
“Correct, I have to give lectures in the afternoon!” nodded Lu Jia’er.
“I can give you a lift on my way then!” said Jin Xiangdong.
“Thank you!” Lu Jia’er agreed.
Only the two of them were in the elevator. Lu Jia’er had a smile brimming with delight on her face.

“What are you smiling about?” Jin Xiangdong asked when he caught sight of it.
Lu Jia’er paused, and then glanced at him as she gave a straightforward answer. “You!”
“Me?” Jin Xiangdong became confused and looked at the bright eyes of Lu Jia’er.
“Yeah!” Lu Jia’er nodded and said softly.
Jin Xiangdong seemed to have guessed a few suspicions, so he said, “Did that bunch of men tell you something?”
“No!” Lu Jia’er denied, though her lips tinged with smile. “But did you tell them something?”
“Nothing!” Jin Xiangdong’s eyes gleamed.
“You’re lying!” Lu Jia’er stared at him and then curled her lips.
Hearing her words, Jin Xiangdong had to be honest. “I don’t want you to feel like a lamb in a pack of wolves, so I dispersed them with white lies!”
“Are you helping me by killing a blossoming new love?” Lu Jiaer was full of delight inwardly, but decided to be a little difficult.
The elevator opened, someone came in, and thus the two temporarily stopped the conversation.
Once they were in the underground parking lot Lu Jia’er tried to continue the topic. “Ace?”
Jin Xiangdong knew that she was being coy, and pretended not to answer. He went straight to his Maybach, and thoughtfully opened the door for Lu Jia’er.
Lu Jia’er was enjoying his service while thinking of ways to get him to answer. She was about to get into the car when she suddenly stopped. So, the two stood face to face, separated by the car door. The distance was definitely intimate. Jin Xiangdong could see very clearly the details of her face, which had minimized pores and a delicate whiteness.
Faced with such intimacy, Lu Jiaer had a strong inner reaction, but she tried to appear calm. “Ace, I have an idea!”
“I’m all ears!” He replied, his breath caressing Lu Jia’er’s face.
Lu Jia’er, whose heartbeat was accelerating, looked straight into the eyes of Jin Xiangdong. “You chase me, or I chase you, please choose!”
