Chapter 4: Caught in a Strike

Half of an hour passed since the departure of Theran.

Jeric felt the need to tail Theran's transport vehicle to make sure his nephew reached the Human destination safe and sound. Though he was ordered to immediately report at the western stronghold he choose not to head back right away just to aid the military who he deemed were strongly fending off the viper army assailants but to rather clear or confirm his doubts with things he felt surreal regarding the things that were happening lately.

Jeric maneuvered the flight-type transport vehicle that he was permitted to use after completely deactivating the tracking device installed within the transport's A.I system. It consumed him the 30 minutes being stuck doing the process and just a few meters away from the eastern base. It was a complicated task to do, even finishing the process by less than an hour is something that other's can't easily pull off but he was a bit disappointed with his current skills, and deemed himself as someone becoming rusty with his talent. Not that Jeric can do anything about it and lose his thought for such matter at the current time. 

He immediately banished the thought and drove the flight transport vehicle and started to head towards the bullet car that Theran's team used and after a few minutes of maximum speed travel, he successfully tailed them.

Inside Theran's transport vehicle

Neil was securely and comfortably staying at his own inside the bullet car. Though the bullet car does look comparatively smaller than the space inside, it was due to the technology used for its structural configuration. Inside the bullet car, there's the command room where Theran's unit members stayed and operated the vehicle, while Theran stayed on one of the vehicle's room, and Neil's alone on the other one. 

The bullet car's separated to 3 sections. The console area uppermost section, the office which is on the right section, and quarters which is on the left area. 

Theran's unit members occupied the console, Theran being on the office, and Neil alone in the quarters.

While alone in the quarters, Neil can no longer use his enhanced senses to get some sensation or a feeling of what's going on since the bullet car's speed messed up his low-level enhanced hearing, sight, taste, smell, and even his mid-level sense of touch can barely help him identify the surroundings.

With nothing left to do but just to wait for the trip to end, Neil decided to read the book that his encrypted encyclopedia now allowed him access after reaching 5 years old.

The encrypted encyclopedia Neil owned is a modern book with complicated configuration. It was his mother's possesion, and only he can use it. Though his mother died after giving birth with him, this valuable treasure was long bound with Neil by his mother's discretionary decision ever since he's still an unborn baby. The encrypted encyclopedia contains a lot of valuable informations but a lot were restricted due to his age, and now that he recently turned 5 years old, new informations, and facts were accessible for him.

What were unlocked for Neil being a year old kid was knowledge about interesting facts that children his age could  easily understand, and things that even a normal 5 years old kid can't easily comprehend. 

Though some informations were a little hard for him at first, Neil was able to absorb those useful knowledge even before he could spend at least half a year with those, and spend the rest of his 1 year old days rereading some of the informations on the encyclopedia and studied more from books he asked his father to buy for him. 

He turned 2 years old and was granted access to informations about geology, nature, human biology, and basic science knowledge, a little to none of these lessons were easily comprehensible for average kids his age, and even some of the informations were hard for a ten year old child to understood but Neil's a different case, he was able to understand those informations fully on his own, and craved more knowledge after completely studying those things in just 8 months then asked his father to give him books. 

Time passed and Neil turned 3 years old. He was granted access with informations about the world, about the existence of magic, magic theories, and more advance knowledge. He spent his 3 year old days with absorbing this informations.

A year passed by again, and Neil turned 4. Informations about the existence of monster, world system, and much advanced information that usually available for 15 years olds were available. The accessed informations also contained a lesson that involves advance skills, basic skills, and survival skills. He prioritized reading magic related informations, followed by survival skills, and put the high tier and advance skills informations last on his priorities. He knew that he can't study everything in just a year and decided that it's wise to know things that will help him progress steadily.

From 350 meters away, Jeric continued tailing Theran's bullet car, his doubts started to grew strong since Theran's transport vehicle headed to the northeastern region which is an extremely dangerous area than heading straight east or than going the southeast direction which one of the human origin organization's bases location.

"Affirmative," Theran responded to someone via electronic transmission after conversing someone using a highly configured electronic voice transmission technology which is capable of transmitting and connecting voice calls in longer distances in such extreme conditions within the Forsaken Realms.

Jeric knew that something's going on and even though he wanted to get closer with the vehicle Theran's team used, he just can't let them know about his presence that may alarm the group he's following.

He keep on tailing the vehicle, and used his enhanced senses to get some sensation in the surroundings in a wider range. He was relieved to know that Neil's alone in one of the bullet car's section and deemed that his nephew's much safe in the quarters on his own.

A few minutes passed, and Jeric's still stealthy following Theran's bullet car, he knew that his suspicions were true, he can't waste a second anymore as the bullet car's heading into the hellish pit with his nephew on board.

"I can't just let them take my nephew in such an extremely dangerous place! I should do something," Jeric told himself.

Jeric autopilots the flight transport vehicle and no longer mind if ever Theran and his unit members detected his presence. 

While his flight-type car runs on autopilot, he started to gather his energy, and channeled enermous energy into the sky. 

Jeric's eyes glimmered with the silver element, and after both his eyes burst with radiant silver light, he chanted, "Energy Strike!"

The ominous clouds covering the skies above the farthest northeastern region started to grew more sinister, and a sudden petrifying blast sound echoed throughout the hellish Pit.
