In a town, early in the morning, you could see an old man waking up, eating and then going to he's rocking chair on the porch. What was peculiar about this old man was that one of he's eye seam to shift, like the number of pupil he has slowly change from one to six in a completely random number at random intervals. Normally everyone seeing this would be uncomfortable or at the very least disturbed, even in this world of technology and magic, but strangely every passerby ignored this fact as if this phenomenon was non-existent. It would actually be more accurate to say that they couldn't perceive it.
The old man, now comfortably sit in he's rocking chair made a pair of dice magically appear from seemingly nowhere. The dices in questions looked unnaturally beautiful and divine.
"Today is a good day, lets use the dices given by Flava" say the old men casually saying the name of a godess
The dices rolled on the small table in front of the man as he made a grabing motion in the air, the next moment as the dices set, a book that looked as expensive as the moon and stars in a clear night sky appeared in the grabing hand. What made the book look so expensive was not the decoration or the aesthetically pleasing design on it, no it was the sheer quality of the material made out of it. The old man looked at the dices, nodded and opened the book. Then another strange thing happened, the book that was about one inch thick with roughly 500 pages was behaving in an incomprehensible manner.
"Page 2020, what a lucky roll, today is indeed a good day" he rolled two nat 20
On the page was a list, a number was associated with what seemed to be an action to take. That said nobody was able to read what it said, except the old man, even the most apt god in literature and language could not decipher its meaning. Talking about this subject, the god in question, while enraged by its failure declared that meaningless gibberish will always and only translate to meaningless gibberish and abandoned the task while cursing at the old man(?) Only for it's curse to be rendered null due to the ability the old man has.
The old man rolled again multiple time and looked to the book once again determining what he will do. As he looked at the column a rare expression of surprise colored he's face only to laugh.
"Hahaha! I was just wondering what she was up to! Very well, it as been a while since I changed body anyway."
The book and the dices disappeared as the body of the old man slumped unmouving, dead. You could see the strange eye disappear too, returning to its green color.
