Since Takei and Akari were going to return to their homes soon, Akihiko and Ayame planned to go out for a nice dinner with them.
They had reserved a table for four at a local restaurant that specializes in Japanese cuisine.
The head chef of the restaurant was someone they were good friends with, which was a good thing since the restaurant was inconceivably hard to get reservations for.
Akihiko and Ayame had announced the special dinner out of nowhere, so Takei and Akari had no time to get ready.
Luckily for them, this was already foreseen by the mischievous grandparents.
Takei and Akari were whisked off to their respective rooms and dressed accordingly to the restaurant's dress code.
Their respective clothing was chosen by what the two grandparents thought would look good on them, so they had no idea what their outfits were going to be until the very last moment.
Takei returned to the living room with Akihiko after taking about 10 minutes to get dressed.
Tonight, he was dressed up in a charcoal-grey suit with some sleek black loafers and his hair slicked back.
"You look quite handsome," Akihiko chuckled. "Perhaps you might get a second wife tonight and enter the harem route."
Hearing Akihiko say something that sounded like it came from a light novel made Takei almost facepalm.
"Thanks for the compliment, but my heart is already taken by one woman," Takei stated.
Akihiko laughed at his textbook yet expected reply. "Yep, I knew you would say something like that. That line is something taken straight out of the Tanaka textbook for romance."
We had a textbook for romance? Why didn't Dad tell me about this sooner?!
Poor Takei didn't have time to mull over what Akihiko just said, since the door to Akari's room abruptly opened.
Ayame first stepped out with a mischievous smile on her face, but she quickly stepped to the side to introduce the star of the show.
"May I present to you the cutest girl in the world, miss Akari Tanaka!" Ayame proclaimed.
Takei ignored the part where she attached his last name to Akari's first name, since a reaction out of him was something Ayame probably wanted.
Although, it did make him quite happy to hear the name "Akari Tanaka."
His train of thought was immediately put to an end though, as a result of the person standing in front of him.
Akari stepped out of her room in a dazzling dress that stole Takei's breath.
The dress was a light lavender color that had a simplistic design that exuded both beauty and elegance.
Ayame had done her makeup, which was impeccable without any flaws to be seen.
Akari typically wore very little makeup since her natural beauty was otherworldly.
Even her hair was beautifully done, it was in such an intricate braid that Takei didn't know the name of it.
"How is it?" Akari shyly asked.
"Magnificent," Takei instantly responded, while slightly drooling.
"..."
Akari managed to quickly hide behind Ayame, since she was extremely embarrassed by Takei's comment.
Takei just simply laughed at the cute animal-like action of hers.
Looks like we'll have a good time at tonight's dinner.

Once they all reached the restaurant, they were immediately greeted with great hospitality and care by the servants and waiters.
It once again dawned on Takei that the Tanaka household had many friends and connections all over the place.

Even the head chef came out to greet everyone during their arrival.
When the head chef turned his eyes towards Takei and Akari, he gently smiled and greeted them professionally.
"It's nice to meet the next generation of the Tanaka's. I hope we can continue our friendship for many more generations."
"Ah, yes..."
Takei wasn't exactly sure what to reply with, so him and Akari just respectfully bowed to the charismatic chef.
After the introductions were done, everyone was seated at a nice table for four.
The appetizers were immediately placed in front of them by the attractive waiter that was servicing them.
When Takei tasted some of the appetizers, his eyes began to sparkle with stars. "This tastes really good..."
"Right?" Akihiko nodded. "This place has been a staple of fine dining for several decades so it's no surprise."
"Akihiko and I go here every year on our anniversary to have a nice quiet dinner," Ayame added.
Takei was surprised to learn that his grandparents went to this place every year for their anniversary, but he was also not too shocked since the food was amazing.
"Maybe we should do something similar..." Akari muttered.
Takei nodded in affirmation towards Akari's sentiments. "Definitely, maybe somewhere that's significant to the both of us?"
"The amusement park?" Akari bashfully asked. "Since that thing happened on the Ferris wheel..."
Takei knew exactly what Akari was talking about.
They had confessed their love for each other on that Ferris wheel, so it would be a perfect spot to visit every year to reaffirm their love for each other.
"The amusement park sounds great," Takei replied. "Let's do it!"
Now that their special anniversary location was set, the next thing to do would be eating the delicious food that the head chef had personally made for them.
The main entree would be a beautifully seared steak with a side of mashed potatoes and asparagus.
No one in the family was picky about how the steak was going to be cooked, so they left it to the chef to decide for them.
Cutting up a piece of steak and placing it into his mouth, Takei began to slowly chew on the steak to savor all the flavor and hard work put into cooking it.
To the side of him, he could hear Akari mutter something after finishing her first bite. "Delicious... I need to investigate how to cook a steak like this for the future."
He thought it was quite admirable and cute of her to be thinking of how to cook a high-level steak like that already.
In front of him, both of his grandparents were enjoying the food in front of them.
"Looks like he's done it again," Akihiko grinned.
"The head chef is undefeated!" Ayame rejoiced.
Seeing everyone wholeheartedly enjoying their food and the warm atmosphere that accompanied it made Takei feel extremely warm on the inside.
I'm grateful to have such a kind and loving family...
