Chapter 1092: General Angerforge

“Anger bro is too powerful; he deals so much damage.”

Azure Sea Breeze had a saddened expression; he regretted choosing the Nightmare mode for this dungeon. That’s right – he was the one who had chosen it, and his strange confidence caused him to make the decision.

Of course, Anger bro referred to General Angerforge.

“He is pretty strong, but your reaction time was too slow. The blocking from your shield should be faster,” Lu Li said as he sat on the floor and chewed on the Spicy Raptor Flesh that Water Fairy had given him.

To his surprise, Water Fairy was an amazing cook. The Spicy Raptor Flesh tasted amazing; it was more than just a product of the simple cooking system.

This type of food also provided the eater with a 20% critical damage boost. Normally, it would only increase it by 10%, but both lasted for half an hour. For Thief classes, this was the most suitable type of food.

When others came to ask for it, Water Fairy turned them down by saying that she hadn’t brought enough with her.

“This guy understands tactics, and his aggression state can be quite messy, so to pass, we need to make less mistakes. Let’s pay attention and try to aim for phase two this time,” Lu Li said.

General Angerforge was a tactician, so he wasn’t as simple as the other Bosses.

His double-hand axe ‘Black Howling’ enabled him to deal the damage of a Berserker. If Azure Sea Breeze didn’t pay attention, it could deal consecutive critical strikes. If he didn’t use his damage reduction in time, it would only be a matter of minutes before the team wiped.

After this came the aggression issue. General Angerforge often ignored the aggression on the main tank and attacked other players, especially the player with the most damage or the healer.

There was nothing too special about phase one. As long as these two problems were solved, they would be able to progress to phase two. There wasn’t any guide to this either. At they very most, Lu Li could only watch the boss carefully and remind Azure Sea Breeze when to use his damage reduction.

General Angerforge initiated the battle with a few slashes at Azure Sea Breeze.

Both of the Priests healed Azure Sea Breeze continuously, and his health fluctuated like a roller coaster. The situation would be easier to manage if they had a healing Paladin. The best healing combination for the Blackrock Depths was a Shaman, healing Paladin and a Priest or Druid, but preferably a Priest. If it was too difficult to find a Priest, then a well-equipped Druid could also work out. After all, resurrection in battle was still very useful in a 15-man dungeon.

“Damage reduction!”

As soon as Lu Li’s voice rang out, two critical strikes floated over top of Azure Sea Breeze’s head.

The critical strikes didn’t come without warning – the Boss always moved the weapon close by his side before it happened. However, Lu Li didn’t plan to tell this to his team members; he had them thinking that he was instructing at perfect timing.

The limiting factor of the first stage wasn’t the main tank, especially when the main tank was Azure Sea Breeze. If he couldn’t tank it, then no one else in Dawn could. Rather, the limiting factor was the healers and whether the Boss could one-shot them.

This was a problem for their all-celebrity player team, but they were still more skilled than an average team. After all, everyone was a professional and they all needed to at least master their survival skills to play in a competition.

As the boss rushed over, they either escaped with the fast mobility, or tanked it with their damage reduction.

“I’m worried about the elite teams in our guild,” Jade Flower sighed, barely dodging the axe in the Boss’ hands. As he watched the Boss being pulled away, his worried expression didn’t change at all. Even he was having a difficult time, he wasn’t expecting those in his guild to work a miracle.

Not to mention, many of the healers out there were girls who didn’t enjoy PVP.

“There’ll be ways,” Lu Li replied calmly. The real solution was to have the healers bring an Engineered Mannequin.

When the Boss rushed over, they would toss one out in front of them, which would keep them safe. General Angerforge would take out the Engineered Mannequins first, then find the healer.

If the healers still couldn’t escape, then this would just mean that they had issues with their technique.

Of course, this only worked for a few bosses like General Angerforge. If this wasn’t the case, none of the Bosses would be challenging.

Similar guides were constantly being developed by everyone in the game.

“Alright, we’ve entered phase two. I believe the boss will start to cast spells at this point. Sorrowless buddy, is your group damage reduction ready?” Lu Li tried his best to ask politely.

“It’s ready. Let me know when you need it, but the cooldown time is an hour, so try to use it when you’re certain.”

Lu Li really didn’t want to waste his time on General Angerforge.

The boss was difficult, but he mostly tested the strength of the players. There was nothing too special about him – as long as your equipment, skills and techniques were up to par, progressing would be a simple manner.

If they couldn’t even take down this boss, then they might as well just leave the dungeon and go home.

The main damage from phase two was splash damage. General Angerforge’s Whirlwind was slightly different to the Whirlwind of normal Berserkers. It dealt ranged damage and as the Whirlwind spun, fire would fly from the blades of the axe. Anyone who touched the fire would take burning damage.

Lu Li asked for Sorrowless to use damage reduction, and everyone else used their own accordingly. Even though the burning damage was quite significant, it didn’t result in any deaths amongst the team.

Phase three commenced after General Angerforge’s health dropped to 40% and he began to summon his subordinates.

It was common for Bosses to summon their subordinates, but it was sure rare for one to summon so many. General Angerforge really lived up to his title – these soldiers loved him. It was easy for his summoned soldiers to go berserk at any moment if they weren’t careful.

General Angerforge even used Battle Roar to provide his soldiers with some buffs.

There were two types of monsters – Iron Rage Trainees and Iron Rage Doctors. The prior were in charge of damage, while the latter were in charge of healing.

Fortunately, the doctors directed the trainees, and they didn’t heal the Boss either. Otherwise, they could all just surrender and save themselves the trouble.
