“I’m back. This is what you’re looking for,” Lu Li announced as he handed over the quest items. The System then notified him that he had completed the quest.
There were no skill points, but there was a good amount of reputation – more than ten usual quests combined. Perhaps reputation wasn’t so hard to obtain after all; you just had to find the right quests.
“Yes, you’ve impressed me with your achievements, Elf,” Arkkoroc praised.
“What next?”
“I’m going to combine these three items so that our forged weapon will come with divinity. Although Hetaera isn’t strong, she has a useful talent,” Arkkoroc said as he worked.
Lu Li had also heard about Loramus’ past from him and why Arkkoroc was so shocked before.
Apparently, Loramus’ life was very unfortunate. His whole family had been slain by the Burning Legion, including his newly-wedded wife and the unborn baby inside her. When Loramus, who was filled with hate, ran into that powerful existence, he sacrificed himself to gain the ways of the demons and became a Demon Hunter.
He hunted for demons everywhere and a made a name for himself.
Apparently, there were only two types of endings for a Demon Hunter. They either went insane from their endless slaughter, or they died to a demon stronger than themselves.
That time, Loramus came across an opponent that he could not defeat.
The result of the battle was his death, and the demon split Loramus’ corpse into three pieces – his head, his upper body and his lower body. It was sad to see such a hero end in such a devastating manner.
However, Loramus didn’t die entirely. During his long battle against the demons, he had begun to discover the secrets to the immortality.
Perhaps it was because of this, but he wandered for a long time in the Twisting Nether.
His three body parts were found by Kasim, a Gnome. Kasim had a friendship with Loramus as they had hunted demons together. In order to revive Loramus, Kasim found the Blood Mage Lynnore and Drakia.
A lot of Mages didn’t understand the concept of factions; they only cared about magic.
The three of them thought for long and came up with an idea to revive Loramus.
Of course, this involved some dark magic.
What they did was piece back Loramus’ body and perform a dark ritual at the Stormwind Altar. Then, Loramus would be able to absorb a strong amount of demon power and revive.
They had come up with the unthinkable, but it was based on research and theory.
They were successful in reviving Loramus. Regardless of how it was done, just reviving someone alone was enough for these three to feel proud of themselves for the rest of their lives.

After all, in the history of Dawn, only a few limited legendary NPCs were capable of reviving people.
Loramus wasn’t happy to be resurrected. He was only revived because he had absorbed demonic powers and now his body was filled with such energy. However, there was no way of turning back since he was now alive. Loramus saw this as fate wanting him to continue his job, so he picked up his career again and this time, he was even more reckless.
“Do you know, what Hetaera’s talent is?” Arkkoroc asked.
Lu Li shook his head. No matter how many books he read, he had never heard of Hetaera having some sort of incredible talent. It was a piece of cake to take her down with the two teams.
“Never mind. Take this and go find Loramus,” Arkkoroc said, then paused and sighed, “Please tell him that his old friend wants him to be courageous and keep living. When he isn’t even afraid of death itself, is there anything else that he fears?”
Lu Li’s heart sunk slightly; he felt like this quest seemed to have spun out of control.
Once again, he ran back to Loramus, not even wanting to complain about how many maps he had run across today. Hopefully, he could complete this quest. It should at least reward him with a legendary.
“Did he really say that?” Loramus mumbled, then continued, “These Gods are so fake. If he didn’t want me to use this method, then why did he let you bring these back to me?”
Lu Li didn’t know how to reply, but Loramus wasn’t expecting a response either. He studied the combined Hetaera heads and gave Lu Li another quest.
This time, Lu Li needed to collect 20 Azsharite Crystals. This was also a troublesome quest as Azsharite Crystals only refreshed in a small zone near the cliff. A hard quest would require players to collect two crystals, so there would always be people hanging out around the area. As soon as these crystals refreshed, they would immediately be harvested.
Twenty Azsharite Crystals! The Demon Hunter must have been asking for his life!
Lu Li withstood the pain in his heart and opened a store down near the camp.
Purchasing Azsharite Cystals, 25 gold for each. 20 required.
There were similar stores nearby, but the usual price was 15 gold for one, and at most, 20 gold. Lu Li’s 25 gold was definitely a good price.
“Brother, 40 gold for one. I’ll sell you 20 of them – how’s that?” a Warrior player offered.
Lu Li remained silent; he didn’t even lift his eyelids. He was giving out this price to save time, but that didn’t mean he didn’t have a bottom line. He wasn’t stupid enough to hand out money for free.
“Brother, I can tell you can afford this; it wouldn’t be good to delay your quest. Not to mention, this is a popular item, but it comes in limited numbers. If you don’t buy it from me now, you probably won’t be able to get 20 of them, even if you wait til tomorrow,” the Warrior players continued jokingly, but his tone was threatening.
“These jerks are bullying someone again. What’s so good about mercenary groups?” Although the others spoke badly of these mercenary groups, they kept their voices low. Clearly, the mercenary group that the Warrior player belonged to was very strong.
“Don’t talk so much, or else you won’t even be able to leave camp,” his friend beside him said as he pulled the talker away.
Some players who were interested because of the 25-gold price hesitated, but in the end, they still didn’t sell it to Lu Li. Unless wanted to be kicked out, they wouldn’t want to upset the mercenary group. These mercenary groups didn’t take over a whole area like the major guilds, but they had many members and ordinary players couldn’t fight with them for resources.
In his previous life, Lu Li had been bullied by mercenary groups before, so he really didn’t have a good impression of these kinds of people.
