“The Boss is about to go Berserk,” Wandering reminded Lu Li.
“Berserk?” Lu Li replied in surprise, only to find that the Boss had not much health left.
The battle was intense. As the commander, Lu Li concentrated on directing the overall operations for the players on the field. Everyone on the team didn’t even notice they had almost reached the end of the dungeon run.
One healer was down, but the Main Tank was still active along with some damage dealers. There were 25 players left in the battle.
It seemed this time was much better than any previous attempts, but whether they would defeat the Boss was still unknown. Lu Li hesitated; he was unsure whether he should use the Darkmoon Card.
The Darkmoon Card could resurrect the dead on the spot, which meant two players could be resurrected to fight the Boss. However, using the Darkmoon Card had its own set of risks.
There was a chance that using the Darkmoon Card would give experience to the player, but it was useless to these players who had reached the level cap. More importantly, there was also a chance that the players’ experience would be reduced. If that happened, their levels might drop, and they would no longer be able to use their level 60 equipment.
The health of the Boss was dropping gradually and she could go Berserk at any time.
“Deal as much damage to the Boss as you can! Healers! Keep your eyes on the Main Tank! Everyone else, keep yourselves alive! This is our chance!” Lu Li shouted to everyone. “Let’s finish this quickly and celebrate for the rest of the week!”
Lu Li was determined; it had not been easy for the team to make it this far. This was a rare opportunity that had to be taken. The team had been dealing with this Dungeon for weeks.
“Seriously? I only have a few Damage Reduction skills left,” Azure Sea Breeze said as he squeezed out a bitter smile.
“How about slowing damage output a little while his skills are cooling down?” Wandering asked.
“No,” Lu Li answered, shaking his head, “This is not an ordinary Boss. I can barely control the situation. Two deaths are not a big deal, but it could snowball to many more deaths. I will not take that risk. Breezy, keep up the pace. March Rain and the other two Paladins, pay attention to the Main Tank’s health. Use the card to resurrect him immediately if he dies,” Lu Li said to the healers.
The only two Darkmoon Cards were in the hands of two healers, March Rain and Hachi Chan.
Hachi Chan had an impressive upgrade recently. She accidentally acquired an item which enabled her to reduce the cooldown of one of her abilities down to zero once every day. This meant that the ability could be used twice as a combo.
This item was very helpful to both Enhanced Tranquillity and her healing abilities.
Everyone had more free time after reaching the level cap, because there were less tasks to complete than before. However, this was not the case for Hachi Chan. She was busy as usual, getting lost everywhere and accidentally accepting a lot of quests. Some of the tasks were pointless, while there were some very rewarding ones. Perhaps she had learnt more Enhanced abilities than Lu Li now.
March Rain was the main healer of the team because she had the fastest response time, which was invaluable in critical situations. The Darkmoon Cards were in the hands of these two phenomenal healers.
The Darkmoon Card was a last resort. March Rain still had a Talisman of Binding Shard, which could resurrect people to full health almost instantly. As long as the healers were alive, or as long as the team was still capable of killing the Boss without healers, the Darkmoon Card would not be used.
It was impossible to avoid the challenge of an enraged Boss as they reached the end of the battle. It was the very first time the team encountered a Boss in an enraged state in this Dungeon.
“Throw every damaging ability at the Boss! Don’t hold back!” Lu Li shouted. After assessing the damage output for a moment, Lu Li concluded that it might not be enough if they held back any longer. When the Boss went berserk, casualties were inevitable.
Lu Li himself was dealing damage recklessly as well. In this moment, commands were useless. The situation devolved into complete chaos after Onyxia feared the players and there was not enough time for the secondary tank to generate enough aggro to hold the attention of the Boss. After all, no one could cope with the Boss’s damage except for the Main Tank. World’s Best Friend had died and Wandering barely had any health left.
“March Rain, resurrect yourself quickly! Use the Talisman of Binding Shard!” Lu Li shouted at March Rain with intensity.
March Rain had been healing the Main Tank and had accumulated a lot of aggro. She had to be alive; she knew her responsibility of taking care of the Main Tank and couldn’t die before him.
March Rain was recognized as the main healer, not only because of her outstanding game mechanics, but also because of the stack of useful equipment that Lu Li had given her. The Talisman of Binding Shard was a Legendary item and there was currently only one in the game.

The Legendary item had 3 effects: a three-minute flash spell, an effect that allowed a chosen spell to trigger immediately every day, and an opportunity to resurrect a person with full health every day. March Rain’s healing output was always much more than that of the second healer in every battle.
“Remnant, redirect the Boss’s aggro to yourself,” Lu Li said to Remnant Dream. He wanted to buy more time.
“Yes sir,” Remnant Dream answered. Although Remnant Dream didn’t know the reason behind this order, she still followed the directions of Lu Li. She watched as the Boss approached her which led to her death.
“Bearded Zaza, draw the Boss’s aggro,” Lu Li continued. Bearded Zaza did what Lu Li asked without hesitation. He knew exactly what his mission was.
his time, misdirection was resisted by the Boss. It would be naive if someone thought they could organize a team of hunters to trick the Boss. Misdirection could be resisted, and the Boss would gradually gain immunity to the ability if it had been used multiple times.
Lu Li just needed to buy more time.
“Damn! Be careful!” Azure Sea Breeze shouted. After his fear ended, he immediately went back to the battlefield and tried to taunt the Boss. However, it was resisted by the Boss again.
The Boss smashed a player close to Azure Sea Breeze and turned her attention to Lonesome Flower. The Boss ignored two taunts from him in a row. The situation looked bleak as the Main Tank struggled to pull the Boss.
Drawing aggro might be easier after Dawn made some changes to the Boss’s ability immunity. When Lu Li had just started playing this game, Instant Dungeons were not this harsh on the players.
“Intervention!” Lu Li shouted.
Currently, Intervention was not a commonly used ability, but Lu Li had two players on the team who had this ability. Wandering intervened Lonesome Flower and Lonesome Flower instantly became invincible. However, death was unavoidable. The Boss turned away from Lonesome Flower and went after another victim instead – the player beside Lonesome Flower.
Lonesome Flower’s intervention buff ended as he continued dealing damage. It was worthwhile to intervene Lonesome Flower because he had very high damage output.
Because of the advantages of rebirth, many methods were available to Lu Li. He had access to a few special potions which had to be consumed at the last minute. In fact, many of them were from Hachi Chan’s collection.
If they could not take the Boss down this time, Lu Li would not try again today. He probably couldn’t mentally recover from failure until tomorrow.
“Only 1% of HP left! Stay focused!” Lu Li yelled in determination.
This could be another First Clear, belonging to Ruling Sword!
An empire had to be painstakingly built by the first-generation First Clearers. It was a tiring process, but no one complained or backed down.
Lu Li purely concentrated on dealing damage to the Boss and nothing else. Once again, Azure Sea Breeze was affected by Onyxia’s fear. At this stage of the battle, there was no more need to reserve any abilities or retreat to the healers to restore health. The battle had escalated to an incredible intensity, and no one was able to make any plays in front of the enraged Boss.
All the hunters died.
Hachi Chan used a Darkmoon Card. After she got up, she healed Bearded Zaza and then continued to deal damage to the Boss.
“Twenty thousand HP left!”
There were only seven players alive. They were done for the day if they couldn’t take down the Boss.
Lu Li’s fast-moving ring was playing a huge role.
When the Boss once again found Lonesome Flower, Lu Li switched positions with him, and then blocked the Boss’s attack with his long-awaited blast.
This was followed by the other special effect, absorbing the full amount of damage with the Supreme Ring.
He also used the second special effect of the Quick Strike ring, which dealt huge damage to the target with a combo of three hits. In just a few seconds, Lu Li dealt thousands of damage to the Boss.
“I’m going to channel an ultimate skill. Try to prevent The Boss from attacking me,” Lonesome Flower announced as he took out a scroll. There was a complicated facial expression on his face, which was usually expressionless. This scroll came at a large cost and could only be used once. It could deal a high amount of damage to the target, and it would also place a damage over time effect on the target.
