Chapter 1808: Scorched Camp
The remaining four torches weren’t thrown for now, and were left for a future opportune time. Lu Li couldn’t be in two places at the same time either. He could only summon a Silly Husky to help. It was already good enough for a man and a dog to set fire to four places.
Silly Husky knew about safety and danger too, so Lu Li didn’t have to consider this. After all, it was only a summoned creature. If it died today, it could still be summoned tomorrow.
As for how long this Silly Husky was free for, that completely depended on the person’s skill. If they couldn’t manage him, then they would be chopped to death by the Fel Orcs. Otherwise, it could perhaps live as long as the summoning time lasted.
When a tent suddenly caught fire somewhere, it didn’t make the Orcs suspect anything. After all, the Hellfire Peninsula was dry, and there were bonfires blazing around the camp all year.
Just a few Orcs drove the Bleeding Hollow laborers over to work. The whole camp was still in order like before, until the tent next to the warehouse caught fire. Only then were the Orcs alarmed.
This was just a little bit of food that they had managed to accumulate over a long, hard period of work. If it was burnt up in a big fire, then all that would be left would be the cooked aroma.
For the next few months, they might very possibly have to be busy at work to look for food. What was more, they had also stored some things that they had taken from humans.
A large group of Orcs rushed over and poured their originally equally valuable water onto the blazing fire.
Hellfire Peninsula had very few water sources. It was about as rare as food, but if they had to choose one, they would choose to protect the food.
Lu Li really wanted to tell them that using sand would be a little more effective in extinguishing the fire.
Of course, he wasn’t that kind.
The third fire ignited the lab, and it also burnt down quite a few tents around it. The camp was all up in arms. Even those few Orc Berserkers guarding the hollow went over to help.
The human scout in the hollow was already at death’s door. He might not even be able to survive the night. There was no need to worry that he would escape.
They ran away, and Lu Li ran in.
“Brother, are you alright?” Lu Li asked, already knowing the answer. He pushed the human scout a few times. Although it wasn’t clear whether it was because he heard sounds, or because of his pain, the human scout moaned twice, opening his eyes which were swollen like peaches.
“Water…water…”
He wanted to drink water?
Lu Li wasn’t a Mage, so he would rarely bring something like spring water with him. If he took bread out for him to eat, he might choke him to death just like that.
However, this problem wasn’t hard to solve. Lu Li took out a healing potion, twisted off the cap and poured it into the human scout’s mouth.
The main ingredient in the potion was water, and the next ingredient was a healing herb. Even if the healing mechanisms between players and NPCs differed, this could be used as water for drinking and at the very worst, wouldn’t do anything.
After drinking a bit of water, the human scout evidently felt better. He panted and could already converse with Lu Li.
“Who…who are you?”
His voice was feeble, and Lu Li had to get closer to hear what he was saying.

“I’m what you see – I’m an adventurer. I just happened to pass by here. May I ask how I can help you?” Lu Li asked.
“My name is Cage. I’m a scout from the Expeditionary Camp. A while ago, Orcs attacked our motorcade, killed my companions and took me captive. If you can, I hope you can take my intelligence back to the Expeditionary Camp.”
At this point, the System prompted Lu Li to asked if he wanted to accept this quest to pass on the information.
Most people would just accept the quest right away here. After all, if it was done here, the difficulty would be reduced by more than half. However, Lu Li saw things more clearly than anyone. If he really did this, not only would there be no reward, but the Expeditionary Camp would also take away some of your reputation since you saw someone dying but didn’t save them.
As such, Lu Li took the effort to shake his head, saying, “As someone from Azeroth, I have to take you back.”
“Are you crazy? This is a main camp of the Bleeding Hollow Clan; there are hundreds and thousands of Fel Orcs! How can you, one person, take me out? Brother, don’t do things blindly,” the human scout firmly refused.
“I just created a bit of a distraction in the camp. They’ve gone firefighting. I’m taking you out now,” Lu Li said, getting straight to the point.
He wrapped up Cage and carried him on his shoulder. He then released the Eye of Grillok that he had found from the treasure chest. He had no choice if he wanted to avoid getting caught. He didn’t want to use this thing and although the camp was in a right mess, the Fel Orcs were still able to send out a massive number of troops to pursue them.
With the Eye of Grillok ahead of them to scout out the road, Lu Li successfully avoided quite a few Orcs who were running around frantically. They arrived outside of the camp very quickly.
Even so, they still weren’t safe yet. Cage couldn’t walk by himself, and Lu Li couldn’t lead him through all the monsters which were in the Wilderness to arrive at the Expeditionary Camp. They didn’t have much time. Lu Li had already received the notice from the System that the Silly Husky had died.
The Orcs would settle the situation quickly. When they realized that Cage was gone, they would chase after them until they were killed.
These barbaric Orcs were not to be underestimated. When pursuing their enemies, they were of a threat level that no human could imagine. Orcs were already adept at following tracks anyway, and their Wargs had sensitive noses too.
What was more, Lu Li was carrying a person with him, so his energy would quickly be depleted. Where could they hide to avoid those four-legged Wargs?
That was why Lu Li took it as his mission to find a place that was a little more out of the way. This place couldn’t be easy for anyone to find. Then, he himself would run to the Expeditionary Camp and get help.
It was a good thing he was reborn and he knew some out of the way places to hide.
The Draenor continent used to be all one piece, which later split into a few. Of course, there weren’t just these few pieces. There were also countless shards that had scattered into emptiness. Some of these shards stood perfectly still, but others were still swirling around.
Lu Li found a shard that moved around in a set orbit. Sometimes, it was close to the mainland of Hellfire Peninsula, but most of the time, it floated in the emptiness. No matter how skilled the Fel Orcs were, they couldn’t enter into the emptiness to catch people.
When this shared floated around, Lu Li put Cage onto it. They he transformed into a crow and flew to the Expeditionary Camp, reporting to the human commander what had happened.
“You heroic, courageous Elf – you have really done well. Now, I hope you can bring them to bring back our injured brother.”
Before the human commander had even seen any proof, he believed Lu Li’s words. By the time Lu Li took out the thing that Cage had given him as proof, the human riders were sent out with no room for doubt.
“I will definitely do it,” Lu Li said as he saluted.
The human commander nodded with satisfaction.
“To work with you on your actions, I will personally direct a team to attack the ruins of Zeth’Gor to
provide cover for you.”
With such words, everything was made easier.
