Elevenless started to fight back, but before he could land a single attack, Lu Li had already moved off to the side.
He had left combat and entered Stealth again!
Did he plan to just keep grinding until he died?
Elevenless almost started to laugh out loud. His equipment’s Lifesteal was quite high, but his HP regeneration was even higher. Even if he was standing still, Lu Li wouldn’t be able to kill him with such low damage.
“Ruling Sword is probably going to lose this one.”
There were two guest commentators invited today – Stellar Union Silver Radiant from Azure Guard and Unforgettable Maple from Majin Temple.
Unforgettable Maple grinned as he said, “If Lu Li played Elevenless normally, he would definitely have lost.”
“Does that mean that Lu Li is playing different to normal?” Stellar Union Silver Radiant questioned with a puzzled expression.
“He’s not showing it; he is weak. The low damage that we are seeing is because of his equipment, but I don’t know what other strange effects it might have,” Unforgettable Maple said, then began to gloat, “But I can see that the effects are beginning to work, because Elevenless is beginning to panic.”
Elevenless really was panicking. Although Lu Li’s initial damage was quite low, the additional effects that followed were truly digusting.
There were slashes all over him, and he was affected by Bleed.
As his body continued to bleed, he was taking damage at the rate of ten or more points at a time. With over 1000 HP, it would be a long time before he would bleed out. Since he had some HP regeneration, this match would likely have no end point. In that case, the System would provide an expert analysis, and Lu Li would likely suffer a technical loss.
Unfortunately, Alfred’s Ingot-Handler Set had an inherent weakness towards slash attacks like these.
Even if he took a little bit of Slash damage, his HP regeneration and the Lifesteal effects would be lost.
Lu Li didn’t even need to do anything. He just needed to ensure that Elevenless was continually suffering from Slash damage, which was why he deliberately equipped this relatively weaker equipment.
The damage was low at the beginning, but as the Slash effects began to stack, they would started dealing a lot more damage.
“Elevenless looks quite pitiful,” Stellar Union Silver Radiant sighed. He had also heard of the conflict between Lu Li and Elevenless. He thought that today was an opportunity for Elevenless to turn it around, and didn’t expect the outcome would be the same today.
“Oh dear, I’ve talked to him about this before. He shouldn’t be so wanton with his newfound abilities. But he never listens, and loves showing off every new little thing that he acquires,” Unforgettable Maple muttered.
If Unforgettable Maple was the one assigning the line-up, he would have sent someone else to fight Moonlight. He would then send another person to finish off Moonlight. After Lu Li defeated the second person, Elevenless would come in with his newfound equipment and defeat Lu Li. He would then go on to defeat Mu Qiu in the same way. If they had done this, they would have been able to decisively win the individual rounds.
Unfortunately, Elevenless was too greedy, and thought he could take down three players. This gave Lu Li enough time to prepare for his strategy.
“I thought Elevenless’ equipment was hard to counter, but it turns out that it is affected by Slash attacks,” Stellar Union Silver Radiant commented.
“I don’t think there is any equipment that cannot be countered. My guess is that Slash attacks are not the only way to counter it, but in a match like this, there isn’t much time to work out what the counters are. All you can do us consider yourself to be unlucky for facing such a strategy.”
Unforgettable Maple couldn’t help but sigh when thinking about how lucky Lu Li had been today.
“Elevenless…” Stellar Union Silver Radiant had really wanted to see Lu Li defeated.
“There is still a chance. Both players have given up their optimal equipment for their respective strategies, so victory is still contingent on their individual technique. Elevenless still has a chance of coming back,” Unforgettable Maple commented wisely.
“Unfortunately, Elevenless’ mental fortitude is poor,” Stellar Union Silver Radiant chimed in.
Elevenless’ mental fortitude was really not very steadfast. He found that after his effects had been mitigated by Lu Li, he was quickly killed while Lu Li managed to retain two thirds of his HP.

After defeating Elevenless, Lu Li immediately switched his equipment.
This Slash equipment had very little damage output, and his Stealth level had been reduced to a level that a Berserker could easily discover him.
The second player from Wings of Dawn was Tracer, a Hunter. Hunters were currently the best professional for dealing with Thieves.
In the end, Lu Li still failed. The lack of HP was one aspect of it, but Lu Li had already used many skills and effects on Elevenless. There were also some effects, such as the Supreme Ring, that he didn’t want to use.
For the individual rounds, Ruling Sword had lost.
Ruling Sword gained 1 point, while Wings of Dawn had acquired 3 points.
During the intermission, Lu Li and the others met up to discuss the matches. It wasn’t just Elevenless that they had to talk about.
“Our equipment strength has fallen behind,” Lu Li stated, opening up the meeting.
Moonlight and Mu Qiu nodded solemnly. They had both fought Elevenless and were both embarrassed with their performances. They were completely helpless against their opponent and found themselves slowly being chipped away at until they lost.
“I’ll get a set of Slash equipment later for Elevenless,” Moonlight said.
“Their other players’ equipment is not bad either. Tracer’s equipment is also generally better than ours,” Lu Li recalled. He roughly calculated everyone’s attack and defense strength based on their damage. He was able to do this even though he was semi-illiterate.
“It seems that we have to play well in the team round. Someone take my spot. I’m still not good at playing a warrior,” Mu Qiu sighed before volunteering his position.
Their strategy turned out to be very simple – use Slash equipment to limit Elevenless’ HP regeneration and Lifesteal before focusing their firepower on him, as he was the biggest threat to them.
Moonlight, Fat Monkey, Kitty Likes Meat, Lu Li and Innocent Child were the starters with March Rain and Mu Qiu as the substitutes.
Running a double-Mage composition posed a great threat to Warriors and using Innocent Child instead of March Rain would ensure that their Healer would not be one-shot in return. Innocent Child was a Druid that couldn’t heal nearly as much as March Rain, but his survivability and crowd control were definitely better.
Elevenless, Dream 13, Falling Smile, Faker than Wind and Tracer were the starters of the
other team. It was a double-healer composition.
Falling Smile was a Priest and Faker than Wind was a Tanky Healer. The synergy between Priests and Tanky Healers was quite strong. Paladins had many protection skills that could protect the Priest while the Priest healed the other players. To kill the Priest, you first had to kill the Paladin that was protecting them, which was something that was very difficult to do.
If the two healers were working on protecting their Berserker…
Lu Li felt that this was going to be a hard fight.
But in fact, the bitter fight that he expected didn’t happen. It took four players to attack their well-protected Berserker, which had become an almost impossible task, especially since Elevenless tried to avoid confrontation with Moonlight as much as possible.
The goal of Wings of Dawn was to kill Moonlight. After all, there was no one that could kill Innocent Child at this stage.
Innocent Child’s survivability was strong, but the shortcomings of that was also obvious. The fact that he healed less meant that he lacked the ability to quickly regenerate his teammates’ HP. In the end, he failed to keep Moonlight alive.
More importantly, the players in Wings of Dawn simply had better equipment.
Since they were all on their way to level 70 from level 60, any equipment they had now was transitory. Even if they got a First Clear from an Instance Dungeon, acquiring strong equipment wouldn’t do that much for them.
There wasn’t much difference in strength between all the level 60 equipment.
This was the reason that Lu Li and the others were wearing whatever equipment they had. They hadn’t even thought about farming for better equipment.
They couldn’t just wait until they were level 70 either, as the major clubs would all have exquisite gear by then.
However, Wings of Dawn was an exception to that rule.
