It really was all the same. Even if Lu Li fought flawlessly, even if everyone’s equipment had surpassed Karazhan’s level ages ago, and even if they had two or three pieces of T5 equipment, they still just kept on dying.
According to some incomplete stats, on average, they died about once every 8 minutes.
After dying three times, they would have a short rest.
Then, everyone would listen to a few idiots tell jokes. The joke about taking Legendary equipment then leaving the team was already old.
“I heard that someone started up a guild, but the number of people was miniscule…” Azure Sea Breeze began.
“Why do you have to say miniscule when you can just say really few?”
“Dammit, can you just let me finish?” Azure Sea Breeze swore before continuing, “And so this guild leader who was even more wretched than Lu Li thought up of a dodgy idea to steal noobs from other guilds.”
“How did he take them?”
Ruling Sword’s foundation was actually very solid. A rogue team winning the Shadow Cup championship, then establishing a guild and taking First Clears seemingly whenever they wanted, simply didn’t need any promotion.
Their recruitment department just needed to collect details and filter through the applications.
“The guild leader would run over to lead new players and help get through quests. Then, he said, when the quests are over, we have to clear the cache, or else it won’t be so easy to receive new quests.”
“What the hell? Clear the cache?”
“Then, he had the noobs type in /GQUIT in the chat.”
“Pfft!”
Immediately there were people laughing out loud, and those who didn’t understand thought for a moment before realizing what was going on.
/GQUIT was a language command in the game, the purpose of which was to allow you to exit your current guild.
“The noob would say, dammit – how come I’ve left the guild? The guild leader would immediately comfort them and say, don’t worry, I’ll add you into mine and it’ll be fine.”
System: Fat Monkey has left the guild!
Everyone who was originally laughing now fiercely held back, then went back to laughing again.
No one suspected that Fat Monkey would betray the club. According to everyone’s understanding, this guy was just curious and wanted to give it a try.
“Quick! Add me, add me in!”
Fat Monkey’s expression was dumbstruck. It was just too easy to exit the guild; he was just wanting to give it a go.
There were lots of top level players here, so they could just send an invite and he would be back in.
“Take off…take off 5 DKP.”
Sky Moon couldn’t stop laughing.
“Damn, team leader, how come you have to take off my DKP? It’s break-time now,” Fat Monkey said unhappily.
“God, I’m laughing to death! Do you think we can fight the Boss in this state? You’re holding up everyone’s progress. Taking 5 points off is already a light punishment.”

Even a calm person like Sky Moon couldn’t take it.
And so, Sky Moon made a rule that in the next rest break, they couldn’t tell jokes.
“Apparently a new patch is coming out next month, with new Instance Dungeons, as well as a new map called the Isle of Quel’Danas or something.”
Those who were up to date had already asked about the new info.
Actually, it wasn’t really a matter of asking for it. The patch had already been there for a few months, and there were minor patches almost once a month. The one next month wasn’t a major change.
“Apparently you can shuffle around points. You can reset Skill Points too, which also means that everyone’s roles can be played in a different way.”
Lu Li was clearer about it than them, but it didn’t mean much to him. At the very most, he would reset his Skill Points. Gaining them would still follow the same process.
The game would also push out a talent system. Different talents would have points added to them, and
the only way to undo this was to shuffle around your points in the right way.
Paladins and Druids were the happiest about this. By changing their attributes and Skill Points, it would be like playing a different role.
That was what was happening next month, but currently, everyone still had to fight Prince Kael’thas to the death.
Now, the point that problems occurred most often at was when the players were mind controlled. They had to use Polymorph or Fear to control them, especially Thieves like Lu Li and Water Fairy!
Lu Li had high damage to begin with, and now, with the Legendary weapon, it took a few shots to kill a Cloth-Armor player. First, he would be Feared and Polymorphed. Then, the Defensive Warriors would rush over to stop him.
Lu Li had killed the whole team twice in total, and Sky Moon was so angry he almost deducted DKP from him.
When Kael’thas’ HP had reached 50%, they entered into the fifth stage.
During the process of Kael’thas’ extended preparation time, he would fly up, then land on the ground. After spouting some nonsense, those who could Bind him had to rush over.
His dialogue lines were rather lengthy. It was a shame that players couldn’t leave the battle here, nor could they take their potions.
Then everyone would take their positions wherever they wanted. Regardless, he would suck everyone together straight away.
Every time Kael’thas sucked everyone together in the middle and set off the weightless forcefield, he would hold them there as if he was a puppeteer. Players needed to detach themselves from Kael’thas to avoid the Nether steam damage, and they had to disperse their radiation to avoid more Nether electricity jumping between more team members.
When the distance was right, everyone could attack Kael’thas until the 30 second forcefield ended.
Actually, flying around in this stage made it a bit more fun.
After the weightless forcefield ended, the team would drop from the air and be dealt some fall damage. As long as you weren’t up too high when this happened, the damage would be negligible.
But here, they couldn’t let the Main Tank die at any cost.
The Phoenix couldn’t be attacked in the weightless forcefield stage, and it wouldn’t deal any damage either. Even though the Phoenix had respawned, it didn’t pose too much of a threat.
When the Shock Barrier was put up, the whole team could leave him. After the Shock Barrier disappeared, they could go up to attack him again.
With a solid grasp of the special characteristics of the weightless forcefield, the team could defeat Kael’thas after a few rounds. This battle was rather interesting – it was easier than the previous stages. By the time they got to the fifth stage, they had pretty much defeated the Boss, so long as the Main Tank didn’t die.
Without realizing, they had already been in The Eye for more than 3 weeks.
They were just a little bit away from finishing off Prince Kael’thas. Strategies weren’t important at all now; everyone already knew how to fight.
The only thing was who would be that step ahead in finishing the fight first.
Compared to Instance Dungeon First Clears, what was even more intense was the Stronghold battles.
