“I…” Sesame Rice Ball froze when Lu Li asked him. He wanted the cape as well but wasn’t sure whether he should take it or let someone else have it.
“Should we start bidding?” Lu Li nodded.
Azure Sea Breeze began the auction; whoever offered more would take home the item.
If a player was popular among the guild members, they might be less insistent and allow them to take the item without spending many points. However, no matter how well-like someone was, they could never get the whole guild to concede.
Besides, the more points you used on an item, the less likely you would be able to bid for another one later on down the track when more equips are dropped.
In the end, Sesame Rice Balls won the bid with 800+ points.
In reality, this was quite a low amount for the quality of the equip that was being auctioned. No one wanted to get on the bad side of the best Alchemist in the guild. Everyone needed potions from him and most members owed him favors.
Compared to the Golden Druid armor that was bought for 600 points when they killed the Vile Priestess, Sesame Rice Ball had gotten an amazing deal.
After he received the equip he gave it to Kitty Likes Meat and said, “You can use it first and return it to me after the tournament.”
Kitty Loves Meat was ecstatic and everyone thought that Sesame Rice Ball was very kind and generous.
The others that were secretly competing with him in the bid felt ashamed that they did not think of doing the same.
The reason why Sesame Rice Ball lent her the cape was because of his loyalty and dedication towards further improving the guild. It was the little things that he did which contributed to their performance in the tournaments. If they performed well in all aspects of the game, the entire guild would benefit, including himself.
Ruling Sword would never mistreat the members of their guild, but the players on their Elite teams only received half the salary of the players in the Gangnam Royals.
The reason for this could only be explained by their limited financial resources.
The fourth item was a Mold for a Dark Gold Grade equip called ‘Frozen Belt’, and was also one of the rarest drops that Azuregos dropped.
If the Mold was crafted perfectly, the stats on the belt would be comparable to that of a Legendary equip.
Azuregos also dropped a a Tailoring Pattern: Bottomless Bag.
The Bottomless Bag was an upgraded version of the Netherweave Bag. Not only did it give the player an additional 18 slots, but it was also relatively cheap to craft as the materials were quite common.
The Pattern was given to someone else because March Rain did not have the time to craft thousands and thousands of bags. She was too valuable to be put on bag crafting duty as it would take months for her to finish.
The guild had its own tailoring department, so the task was naturally assigned to them.
The last three items were all rare materials and this was one of the reasons why major guilds enjoyed hunting Wild Bosses.
“I suggest giving the rare materials to Lu Li,” Square Root Three interrupted. “You may not know, but the contraption that transformed the boss was handcrafted by Lu Li himself!”
“Wow, you’re so awesome boss!”
“Transforming such a big boss into a tiny little chicken – only Lu Li is capable of doing something like that. I’m very impressed.”
“Just give the rare materials to Lu Li; he deserves it. Besides, who knows whether we’d be able to defeat Azuregos without his Poultryizer.

Most players agreed to Square Root 3’s suggestion. Since Ruling Sword was still a relatively new guild, the members were less greedy and scheming.
However, there was still a particular group of players who were salty about this.
There was a player that had been kicked out of the guild by Square Root Three because he failed to obey Lu Li’s commands and placed his teammates in great danger, almost resulting in a completely team wipe.
When he was kicked, a few of his friends followed and left the guild voluntarily. However, there were some that did not leave and stayed on for no particular reason.
They made sure their voices were heard and began trash-talking.
One of them muttered angrily, “If you want to keep all the profit to yourself, then just do it. Why are you making up an excuse about some stupid Poultryizer? Wasn’t that crafted by the materials in the guild storage?!”
“Yeah, three rare materials is quite a large sum; you can’t just take it all yourself.”
This caused a great commotion in the guild and made some other members question the same thing.
Fat Monkey was already quite temperamental and when he heard them trash talking, he just exploded without holding back.
“Blah blah blah blah, just kick them.”
He muted everyone and only allowed himself to talk.
Although Fat Monkey was a hothead, he definitely wasn’t stupid. He was the one who had discovered the Thief Wu Qin that tried to steal their Boss kill.
“Check the guild storage records and look at how many points Lu Li used up to exchange for the materials. Think to yourself whether he took advantage of the guild or not. Besides, each Poultryizer can sell for 70 to 80 gold and we used 17 today, which equates to around $10,000. Do you really think the three rare materials can cover his expenses?”
“What equips did Lu Li gain from today?”
“Without his shot calling today, ask yourself whether we could defeat this boss or not.”
“The two friends of XxWhores, it was because of his unwillingness to follow the shot call that made so many players die. He’s lucky that we didn’t punish him for his misdoings, yet you guys hang around and mess with our guild’s peace and harmony. Don’t forget that even though this is a game, we can still take legal action against you in real life if you continue to stir up trouble.”
Even Lu Li wanted to clap for him. He was touched because he now knew that Fat Monkey had his back completely.
In reality, Fat Monkey was annoyed that Square Root Three did not speak up about this matter. He never intended on taking up the role of the bad cop. Besides, he was in charge of leading the Mages and needed to uphold a leadership image.
The two players who were trash-talking wisely decided to shut up.
Not everyone had the courage to stand up for their friends, especially when it came to such a sensitive topic such as kicking a member from the guild.
After the entire ordeal, Lu Li decided it was best for him not to argue and to just accept the three rare materials.
Although they were not worth as much as the money he put into crafting the Poultryizers, he was still pleased nonetheless.
Out of the three, there were two rare materials that only dropped from Azuregos. Even if you had the money, you couldn’t buy them on the exchange hall.
One of them was called Mature Blue Dragon Sinew and could be used for cooking. Hachi Chan looked at Lu Li with desperate eyes because she wanted to feed it to her pet dragon.
Lu Li obviously refused because Mature Blue Dragon Sinew wasn’t food, but a quest item.
Many Hunters would do anything to defeat Azuregos because the quest that required the Sinew rewarded a Legendary Hunter weapon which had amazing stats.
