"Why do you expect me to join you? I have a kingdom I must protect, and I'll gladly give my life for it! I trust King Vrunemir with my entire soul! Everything up until now has been in his best interest and for the people of Midgard!" (Siegfried)

Siegfried pointed Balmung at Merlin, showing a menacing frown upon his face.

"The fact that you believed that I will easily join you and the dragons, sickens me. Who do you think I am? A traitor? Just like yourself?" (Siegfried)

Merlin crossed her arms before closing her eyes. She bowed her head down, scoffing at the heroes words.

"Hmph. You don't know what happened to Vrunemir kingdom… do you? You don't even know what happened to Midgard ever since you left, Siegfried." (Merlin)

Siegfried raised his brow.

"What do you mean?" (Siegfried)

"Everyone has died. From some mysterious power, they all dropped dead, every single last human, goblin, werewolf, elf, and other creatures who were misfortunate enough to be in Midgard at this time. They're all gone." (Merlin)

"….Impossible! Your bluffs won't work against me Merlin." (Siegfried)

"Hahahahaha! See for yourself Siegfried!" (Merlin)

Merlin would spawn a magical circle in front of her, having an magical orb slowly protrude from it.

"Look into this magical orb. It sees all of Midgard, and allows me to appear wherever I want, and whenever I want. Even abstract places are counted for. It tells no lies…" (Merlin)

Siegfried and the other soldiers behind him watched in horror as they had a clear view of Vrunemir Kingdom. Millions of dead bodies were scattered on the streets, and walking skeletons were shown, along with countless undead.

"…No way! The dead has risen from their graves and killed everyone!" (Soldier)

"You fool. This wasn't caused by the undead, it was caused by an mysterious power that I wish to obtain for myself. As far as I know, it changed the dual concepts of our world. Life became death, and death became life. Love became hate, and hate became love." (Merlin)

"That's not true… if that's the case then why are we all alive as we speak?" (Galahallt)

Merlin cackled.

"Because, you have Siegfried with you. He's an hero after all, and naturally he will protect you. Balmung must be nullifying the effects of this mysterious power, causing you soldiers and Siegfried to be safe from its effects." (Merlin)

Siegfried looked down in anguish as he balled up his fist. Her words struck him deep, hearing the truth of the situation… but there was one thing he wished to hear.

"…Then, king Vrunemir… is he safe? I doubt that this mysterious power is strong enough to defeat such a man like him." (Siegfried)

Upon the orb was a flash of light as it now shown king Vrunemir resting on the ground, located inside his castle… blood poured from his lips, and his wounds were brutal.

"That is no ordinary death. Someone has killed him! I refuse to believe he died from this power you speak of!" (Siegfried)

"Who knows? I was unaware of his death, I didn't care for such an trivial man as him. I was more focused on obtaining this power for myself, and studying it." (Merlin)

Siegfried gripped Balmung with both his hands, infusing the blade in a large amounts of mana.

"Enough talking Merlin, you're in our way. I have a kingdom I must get to quickly, so now wasting time here will only irritate me further." (Siegfried)

"S-Sir Siegfried? Are you-" (Galahallt)

Siegfried would grind his teeth together, showing no signs of stopping now.

"Yes… I'll release Balmungs Full power, right here and now!" (Siegfried)

"SIR SIEGFRIEDS FULL POWER?" (Soldier)

The soldiers all were astounded, being the second to see Siegfrieds full power, and Galahallt being the first from long ago.

"Balmung is restricted by a set of seals meant to hold its overwhelming power… but once I break those seals, no one can stand in my way." (Siegfried)

"Hoh? How interesting… then show me what power you truly possess, Dragon Slayer, Siegfried." (Merlin)

Around Siegfried was an high velocity storm, pushing back the soldiers and even shaking their surrounding area. So much mana was being released from his conceptual weapon, even striking a bit of fear inside Merlin herself.

"…It's power is still growing?" (Merlin)

She widened her eyes to see its power rising to new heights, causing the mage to teleport into the air, getting far away from the hero.

"With that much power… I won't be able to stop it with my basic magic, even catastrophe magic is no use!" (Merlin)

"ALL FIVE SEALS HAS BEEN BROKEN!" (Siegfried)

Merlin leaned her head back as a gust of wind pushed her upwards into the sky.

"….Guh! I must act quickly!" (Merlin)

She casted an magical barrier in front of her, separating herself and Siegfried.

"He won't be able to reach me here. Even with Balmung, it doesn't have enough power to destroy this dimensional barrier I casted." (Merlin)

"…HAAAAAA!!!" (Siegfried)

Siegfried leapt into the sky, accelerating himself towards Merlin in a beacon of light.

"Hahahaha, even with your Balmung, destroying an eleventh dimensional barrier is impossible!" (Merlin)

"DIMENSIONAL BARRIER?" (Siegfried)

Siegfried appeared under Merlin, slicing apart the barrier.

"THAT MEANS NOTHING TO ME!" (Siegfried)

"…TSK!" (Merlin)

Merlin stretched out her arm.

"Dimensional Magic: Astral Rain!" (Merlin)

Siegfried was surrounded by dozens of portals, from head to toe, left to right, up and down.

"Begone!" (Merlin)

She swung her arm to the side, signaling fire. Hundreds of condensed spatial dimensions crashed into Siegfried in the shape of three dimensional cubes, and exploding on contact.

"….Seaaa…!!!" (Siegfried)

Siegfried escaped from the cloud of smoke, unscathed as he approached Merlin, swinging Balmung at extraordinary speeds.

"Impossible, not even a scratch?" (Merlin)

Siegfried managed to slash her across the chest, surprising the mage as her eyes widened in shock.

"…Gaaah!" (Merlin)

She teleported into the air even further, increasing distance between the two of them.

"His weapon… how does it hold this much power? My dimensional magic even stands no chance… and it's the magic of True Gods!" (Merlin)

"Balmung… I never told you it's embodiment, have I?" (Siegfried)

Siegfried stood afloat in the sky with basic gravity magic.

"It embodies the concept of events. Everything you do, will be useless. Use your magic, then Balmung can manipulate those set of events to where you never used your magic. Do anything, and it's useless against Balmung at its full power." (Siegfried)

Merlin held her chest as blood dripped from her wound.

"Healing Magic: Mending Causality." (Merlin)

Merlin started to heal her wounds, however-

"Did you think I was making this up, Merlin?" (Siegfried)

Balmung denied those set of events, causing her healing magic to never happen.

"…Impossible… I can't even heal my wounds? Damn it…" (Merlin)

She coughed up blood as she wiggled in the air, slowly losing consciousness.

"Even my strongest magic has no effect against him…!" (Merlin)

Merlin lost consciousness as her limp body fell to the ground, forming an crater on impact.

"Our battle is over, you stood no chance against me." (Siegfried)

Siegfried slowly levitated to the ground, landing upon his boots.

"We can now march onwards men! Let us defeat Jörmungandr once and for all!" (Siegfried)

Siegfried suddenly felt an painful spike inside his back.

"…Ngh…!" (Siegfried)

"SIR SIEGFRIED!?" (Soldiers)

The soldiers called his name in a panic, seeing him fall to his hands and knees, even dropping his blade.

"…Whats happening…?" (Siegfried)

"So this is your conceptual weapons full power is it? Hahahaha, how truly fearsome… thankfully I understand how to counter it now." (Merlin)

"Counter it…? But… how? I thought I killed you…" (Siegfried)

"Killed me? Hah. It was a simple clone that you fought against. The real me was watching the battle the entire time, unscathed." (Merlin)

"No way… you mean she was in front of us the entire time?" (Galahallt)

"Indeed. You soldiers underestimate my magic, you all were casted in my illusion. Even someone with incredible detection of mana would be unable to sense me, and tell if it was an illusion or not." (Merlin)

Merlin snapped her fingers with a cackle coming from her.

"Kahaha! Siegfried fought nothing more than my clone! It's unnoticeable isn't it? It has the same amount of mana and same voice as me. I can create countless copies of me to do my bidding, and you failed against one of them." (Merlin)

"BASTARD!" (Galahallt)

Galahallt risen his arm into the air.

"ALL MEN PREPARE TO BATTLE!" (Galahallt)

"…Galahallt… No… don't approach her… stay at your… positions…" (Siegfried)

Galahallt was too enraged along with the soldiers as well, ignoring Siegfrieds order. They all quickly charged at the mage while raising their weapons, showing no signs of stopping.

"Well well, leave it to the humans to have their emotions get the best of them. Sadly you all are trivial to me." (Merlin)

Merlin casted an magical circle under them, suddenly teleporting them away from their battle field.

"Goodbye Templar Knights…" (Merlin)

"What… did you do…?" (Siegfried)

Siegfried slowly stood up, feeling the mysterious pain in his backside get worse.

"WHAT DID YOU DO?" (Siegfried)
