Chapter 84: At Peace Once Again

Shockwaves shook the sky of the True Ones realm as the booming echo of their fist would vibrate along the infinite dimension created from their Subjective Formation.

Blood splattered from their mouths, and Maleficent was shown panting, and so was Everland as well. Despite their limitless stamina, the effects of Orcus' magic leaking from Everland was slowly draining them.

"Cursed! Everland… you and that evil magic… are you some fool? To think you would stoop so low and take Orcus' magic!" (Maleficent)

Everland wiped the blood from her lips as part of her clothing was torn from their battle.

"I prayed to him… he was easy to access… he's a godhead after all. I asked for power and he gave me power, but in return I would give what he needed." (Everland)

Maleficent held her arm in pain, still holding onto her staff inside her hand.

"…What does he want in return?" (Maleficent)

"The death of those who oppose him. Grimhild Yorgana, and the group she is with. He says that they're dangerous, and he wants them gone… but now that you mention my words from the past, I did say that there will be a group created from the Root World that will kill him." (Everland)

Maleficent shown a confused expression, closing her eyes as she still panted.

"Yes, you did. There is something I've been hiding from you, but I never mentioned it due to my pathetic ego…" (Maleficent)

Everland risen her brow.

"What is it? Speak, Maleficent." (Everland)

"I cannot control the fate of Grimhild Yorgana. Despite her being a witch… her fate and Mana Force is something that's not from this world. I can control all witches, except her… and that pathetic witch Agnes Gravenworth, but her story is different." (Maleficent)

"What? Do you truly mean that?" (Everland)

"Yes, it pains me to say. I'm certain that they're created from the Root World like you wished, in order to stop the Dream Devourer, Orcus." (Maleficent)

Everland looked down in thought, having the dark magic around her slowly disappear, restoring them back to normal. All their limitless energy came back, fueling them once more, despite their bartered and bruised bodies.

"So that's why Orcus wants Grimhild Yorgana and her friends dead? I see. It also explains why Grimhild is recruiting certain people as well…? Wait a minute… does that mean-?" (Everland)

"Does it mean that Grimhild knows of her reason for being here? Yes… in fact it does. Grimhild knows why she's created, and she knows the people who are also created from the Root World to defeat Orcus. This whole time she's been behind the scenes, recruiting these people without even us knowing why. She's truly one of a kind." (Maleficent)

"…Grimhild… Yorgana…" (Everland)

Everland tilted her head down and snickered… until a laughter came about.

"Hahahahaha… Hahahahahahaha!!!" (Everland)

Everlands laughed echoed through the void around them.

"Mwaahahahahahahaha!" (Maleficent)

Maleficent's laugh done the same. They both laughed together, feeling themselves both wrap their arms around each others neck.

"It's been some time since I've had fun like that! We should do it again one day! I haven't moved that way in centuries." (Maleficent)

"Yes, indeed Maleficent! I felt like an old woman all this time, but I'm glad to see I can move and fight like a youngling once again!" (Everland)

Maleficent nodded her head with a smile.

"Our winner isn't decided yet Everland. Despite you having Orcus' magic, it was also effecting you as well, not only me. At this point it would've been a tie in our duel." (Maleficent)

"I suppose so… but that isn't the matter at hand right now. We should return back to my branch of order and talk there for a moment." (Everland)

"Fumu. As you wish, True God." (Maleficent)

Both of them vanished from the void, as the void also vanished along with them… disappearing into thin air.

Back on Midgard everyone reunited with one another again. Leelee and her friends made it safe and sound with the other knights back into Feerota Kingdom, and their names would spread throughout all of Midgard for their efforts, and heroic duty in saving the world.

Nokitera surrendered and accepted defeat, leaving Mesnil Nation victorious once again. The Dark Mages and Nokitera all retreated back home, as Elizabeth, Fhiron, Pippy, Estrilda, and Jean let them all escape. Nokitera owned up to his mistakes and was prepared to face Dracula, and receive his punishment.

Mesnil Nation all cheered and celebrated their victory. Kyto soon woke back up inside Grimhild's arms as she held him, looking up to see her with a big smile rising on his cheeks. He was happy… and felt safe near her. He was glad to be alive, and saved from his best friend.

Soon Kyto and Grimhild would make their way to Mesnil Nation as well, prepared to meet their friends once again. 

Things were back to normal.

"…Hey, isn't that Grimhild and Kyto?" (Elizabeth)

Elizabeth and the others looked down the dirt road to see two figures approaching them.

"It is! Grimhild, Kyto!!!" (Elizabeth)

Elizabeth was the first to run towards them, extending her arms to the side as she tackled-hugged them both.

"—Hey!" (Kyto)

Kyto fell back… however she ended up missing Grimhild since she sidestepped to the side.

"It's nice to see you to Elizabeth, I hope everything went well." (Grimhild)

"Yep! It sure did, we defeated the one who was causing all this trouble… and then the world suddenly returned back to normal. Weird right?" (Elizabeth)

Grimhild snickered at her comment.

"The one who restored the world to normal was Leelee Vansbo, William, and Astoria Kyoko, the people of Feerota Kingdom." (Grimhild)

"Wowwww really? Princess Leelee? I shouldn't be surprised! I heard she's the very embodiment of charisma at this point. She's like a superstar!" (Elizabeth)

Grimhild tilted her hat down and nodded her head.

"Indeed, she is very skilled. How about the rest of you? Is all well?" (Grimhild)

Pippy flew in and placed his hands onto his hips.

"Yep! Pippy took care of everything here! You can always rely on Pippy to finish off the bad guys with my ability, The Chronicles!" (Pippy)

"Lies. You don't even know how to control that ability, small fairy. Master Jean and Fhiron are the ones who did all the work you know?" (Estrilda)

Pippy turned around to face Estrilda with an angry look on his face.

"Hmph. I still helped the most!" (Pippy)

Elizabeth would pat Pippy's head with her finger, teasing him.

"Yes you did Pippy, you did the most, and totally didn't pass out when we needed you!" (Elizabeth)

"Tch! How dare you expose Pippy, Elizabeth!? Pippy is not cuddling you any longer!" (Pippy)

"Awww cheer up, we all know you tried! Hehehe~!" (Elizabeth)

Jean walked over to both Kyto and Grimhild, smiling as he rubbed the back of his head.

"Well a lot happened… and apparently I wasn't myself during the battle against Nokitera. I turned into some transcendent being or something? I forgot the name." (Jean)

"Yes! I offered you some of my power to evolve you into a transcendent being, Lord Jean." (Ebony)

Ebony was summoned next to Jean once more, hovering there beside him.

"Yeah… that pretty much explains it." (Jean)

"…You became a transcendent being…?" (Grimhild)

Grimhild for some reason was blushing as Jean was in front of her, purposely hiding her face from his view.

"Yeah… I assume that's really powerful?" (Jean)

"The transformation of a Transcendent Being only happens when someone obtains a powerful magic that their body cannot normally handle, thus they evolve and transcend into a new being, with a new name and appearance, and that new being will harness the new magic and fight with it. However this happening is extremely rare… and has an 0.000001% chance of occurring." (Grimhild)

"R-Really? Talk about luck!" (Jean)

"My goddess, I'm glad to see you're alright!" (Fhiron)

Fhiron appeared next to Grimhild from thin air, placing his hands on his hips with a big smile on his face.

"But there's nothing you can't handle! Hahahahaha!" (Fhiron)

"…Call me goddess one more time, and you won't be able to handle losing your family jewels." (Grimhild)

"Ha, same Grimhild as always, you'll never change when it comes to me!" (Fhiron)

"You make me this way Fhiron." (Grimhild)

Grimhild was sighing… but then smiled as she looked up at the tall Elf King.

"You were the one who finished off Orcus, weren't you?" (Grimhild)

"Indeed, he wasn't much of a threat to my Golden Magic, however it couldn't have been done without the help of Jean." (Fhiron)

Grimhild's smile gotten even brighter, however her blush appeared once again after she heard Jean's name.

"I'm proud of you all… I really am…" (Grimhild) 

Tears began to form inside Grimhild's eyes… actual tears…

"…Huh? Grimhild?" (Jean)

Everyone became quiet as they looked over at Grimhild, seeing her cry.

"Grimhild?" (Elizabeth)

"…What's wrong?" (Pippy)

"…I don't know… I've never felt this emotion before… I'm just… really relieved… and happy for everyone." (Grimhild)

Grimhild stuttered in her voice as tears fell to the ground.

"WE LOVE YOU GRIMHILD!" (Elizabeth)

Everyone suddenly made their way in, wrapping their arms around Grimhild and hugging her. Estrilda crouched closer to them, patting Grimhild's head with her finger. It was an entire group hug of friends, and pure love. 

Their bond will forever be unbreakable, and their journey will be a big one to the end. Grimhild was growing, and unlocking emotions  along the way. She was grateful for them, and this was enough to show it.
