Chapter 260 - Tong Xuelu sneered when she heard that. (1)
They arrived at the movie theater.
The movie theater at this day and age did not remotely measure up to those in later times. It was a grey 2-story building that was not eye-catching at all.
There was one line of writing at the front of the theater. It said Band Together for Greater Victory. A banner was hung above that and written on it was “Modern Revolution Movie The Shiny Red Star playing here at Capital City”.
The Shiny Red Star was the movie that they were going to watch today.
All cultural venues nowadays were still under tight regulations. Both the economy and cultural venues, etc. would not take off for another couple of years.
As such, the only movies available right now were along the lines of Tunnel Warfare, Mine Warfare, or Fighting the Invaders, etc.
There was a little store outside the movie theater.
Wen Rugui went over and bought a bunch of snacks. There were boiled peanuts, fruit rolls, plum powder, and hawthorn slices. All of them well-known snacks in this era.
As he spoke, he even pulled out a water bottom from the bag that he had brought with him. “I brought water too. You don’t need to worry about getting thirsty.”
Tong Xuelu could truly feel his affection at that very moment.
A man could be simple like a piece of clean paper or ignorant, but it was the thoughts that count!
If a man cares about you, as simple as he might be, he would still care about anything that has to do with you.
Anyone that would say things like “my memory is poor”, “I have been too busy”, or “I didn’t think you need it”, all of those were just excuses. In the end of the day, they just didn’t care enough about you.
The fall sun landed on him, turning both his hair and eyelashes a gold color. His entire body seemed to have melted into the sun and it could make one’s heart pound.
Being stared at by Tong Xuelu, Wen Rugui thought that she was bothered by the water bottle. He quickly explained, “I have watched the water bottle out thoroughly. You have nothing to worry about.”
What a silly boy.
He thought that was what was bothering her?
Tong Xuelu’s lips curved upward and she winked at him. “I know. But it will be okay if you hadn’t. As long it was only you who had used it before.”

BOOM!
Wen Rugui’s cheeks reddened and his heart started to beat uncontrollably.
She didn’t mind using the same water bottle as him!
Only those who were closed would share the same water bottle!
Tong Xuelu wasn’t surprised to see him blush. The smile on her thickened.
The ticketing person grown impatient with the two of them. “Are you going inside or not? If you are not going inside, then stop blocking the entrance!”
Much like the workers as a government-operated restaurant or those selling tickets for public transportation, all government workers had a haughty attitude.
Tong Xuelu didn’t think much of that and Wen Rugui handed over the tickets for the both of them before the two entered the theater.
The movie theater was not very big and the chairs were made out of wood. They were small and hard and very uncomfortable to sit on.
Regardless, being able to go to a movie theater was already a very classy and luxurious entertainment at this day and age.
After all, a movie ticket cost 0.20 yuan and most people would not be willing to pay that price.
The movie started shortly.
As soon as the movie started, Tong Xuelu remembered a very well-known person in the movie – Hu Hansan.
She randomly recalled an internet slang in modern time. “I, Hu Hansan, is back!” She couldn’t help but curved her lips.
Wen Rugui was sitting there properly and was very focused. He never once looked away from the screen.
Tong Xuelu watched a little bit of the movie and turned to look at Wen Rugui.
His nose was tall and his side profile impeccable. He was much more interesting to look at than the movie.
Even though Wen Rugui was staring at the movie, but nothing registered with him.
