"This fucker bit me!" I scream, looking at my arm and then at the thing that tried to attack my girlfriend.
Only a few minutes ago, everything was fine.
We were strolling through a shopping mall in Hamburg on our Europa tour, when we suddenly heard a commotion in front of us, and then people started screaming.
"Jake what the hell is going on there? Should we go and take a look?" asked Shana while looking worriedly at me.
She is a doctor back home and is always ready to help.
"No idea, but it sounds like someone is fighting there or something like that." I say, trying to get a look, but the crowd stops me from doing so.
Then suddenly, people start running in terror towards us and away from the commotion.
When I finally saw what they were really running from, I grabbed Shana and dragged her into a small tobacco shop nearby.
I look at the confused shopkeeper and say, "Close the door now!"
But he only said, "Was? Ich verstehe sie nicht! Was ist da draußen los?"
This means that he doesn't understand me and wants to know what's going on...
So I walk behind his cash desk and switch the automatic door to close.
"Was machen sie da? Gehen sie weg!" he tried to push me away.
But I was stronger and grabbed him by his neck and brought him to the front.
"Jake, what are you doing?" asked the confused Shana.
I gesture with my head at the door and she turns around, only to freeze in horror. The same goes for the shopkeeper.
There were two people or things licking the glass door, while leaving bloody marks behind.
They had blood red eyes, bloody mouths and wounds all over their bodies.
"Diese penner! Ich habe erst gestern die Tür geputzt!" says the shopkeeper while ranting about them, licking his freshly cleaned door.
When he tried to run forward to pounce on them, I slapped him on the head and grabbed him again.
Then I took out my phone and translated into German, "Don't fuck around and lead us to the back exit!"
He looks at my phone and then back at the things on the other side of the door. He then nods and walks into the back of the shop through a door behind his counter.
"What are these people doing?" said Shana while stepping away from the door fearfully.
I walk to her, place my hands on her face and make her look at me.
"I know it's hard to believe, but I watched enough movies to know these people are zombies or something like that." I say as seriously as I can.
"Zombies? No they are fiction. They look more like they have rabies or something like that." she says while trying to find a logical way to explain everything.
However, the things outside became impatient and started hitting the glass door as hard as possible.
"If they are Zombies or rabies people is not relevant right now, we need to get out here before they come inside."
She nods and we follow the shopkeeper through the door behind his desk into a small storeroom.
Closing the door behind us, I could hear some glass shattering... we needed to grab our car from the parking garage and get the fuck out of here immediately.
If this is a zombie outbreak, then we have really horrible luck.
We are in a mall full of people, in one of the biggest cities in Germany, without a real place to hide.
However, the worst thing was running into a moron who was trying to open his safe right now to get his money. Instead of trying to get out of here.
I grabbed his neck again and dragged him forcefully to the back door, which was still closed.
"Nein mein Geld!" he says while trying to go back to the safe and grab his money.
"Open the door now or I will kick your ass!" I wrote on the phone and he finally obeyed and opened the exit door with his key.
When I opened it a little bit, I found an empty hallway that the staff used to enter and exit their stores without being disturbed by customers.
We step out, but the shopkeeper stays behind and closes the door in front of our faces.
"You idiot, how do you plan to survive there with only your money and tobacco?" I said while hitting the door.
"What do we do now? We have no guide now." asked Shana, shivering a bit.
I give her a small hug and say, "Don't worry I'm sure we will find a way out, let's go."
Shana grabs my hand and we start hurrying down the hallway, hearing screams and glass shattering from inside the shops.
We were lucky that the mall had a hallway like this. This makes it easier for us to escape.
As soon as I finish this thought, a man crashes screaming through the exit door of a shop.
One of the things was holding onto him and was munching on the man's neck.
An additional one came through the door and wanted to jump the man too, but then noticed us and started to run towards us.
"Get behind me!" I screamed at Shana.
But she was utterly shocked and couldn't move, so I grabbed her shoulders and placed her near the wall.
It was only a few feet away, when it suddenly jumped full force towards me.
However, I moved to the side and let it crash to the ground further away.

This gave me enough time to deal with the other one, who let go of the dead man and ran towards us.
This one stretches its arms and tries to grab me.
However, I also evaded its attack and kicked the zombie in the back toward the other one.
Which was already on its way here, so they collided and tumbled down to the ground.
Then I grab Shana's left hand and we start to run.
But when we ran past the guy who got attacked first, he suddenly sprang up towards Shana while trying to bite her.
My body was operating on autopilot.
I pull Shana back and change positions with her. At the same time, I defensively put my left arm in front of me.
And then it bites into it...
"Ah!!! You bastard let go of me." I scream and shake my arm, but it doesn't want to let go.
So I hit it in the nose a few times and it opened its mouth and I could finally free my arm.
Then I kick it in the stomach and it crashes into the wall.
I walked forward and stomped its head with as much force as possible.
Killing it in the process, which led us to the mess we are in now.
Shana grabbed a tissue and wrapped it around the wound to stop the bleeding.
I saw that the other two were already up, but something was odd about them ... they weren't moving at all.
Suddenly a pregnant zombie woman appeared behind them. Her face was disfigured, but a creepy smile could still be seen.
Her stomach looked like it was freshly sewn up and something was definitely moving in it.
Then she pointed at me and the two zombies started running towards us while five or six more appeared around the corner and followed them.
"We will treat the wound later! Let's run!"
We ran through the hallway and I tried to ignore the pain in my arm, however it burned like hell.
Luckily, it didn't bleed much.
After a while, we finally arrived at the end of the hallway where a big iron door was, with a sign that said 'Parkhaus' which means basically parking garage in German.
However, the door didn't move when we tried to open it and I could already hear the zombies around the corner.
Shana started hitting the door, trying to open it, while I prepared myself to deal with the incoming zombies.
I will not let them harm her.
When she saw them nearly reaching us she started to scream, "Help somebody! We need help!"
Then suddenly, the doors open and a policeman with a nasty-looking wound on his neck emerges and starts shooting at the incoming Zombies.
"Lauft rein!" he said in German, which meant run inside and we did without thinking twice.
He kills all of them, then closes the door again and sits with his back against the door while holding his bleeding wound.
I caught my breath and thanked him, which caused him to smile weakly.
Looking around, I could see a bunch of survivors sitting and crying or treating their wounds.
It appears that they have closed all the entrances since there are no zombies here yet...
We searched for our rented car and found it and Shana took out the medic kit and started to treat my arm.
"It needs to be stitched, we need to bring you to a hospital." she said with tears in her eyes.
So I kiss her on the forehead and say, "Yes, I know but let's stay a bit to get our strength back."
So we entered the car and I turned on the radio, and an emergency broadcast in different languages began to play.
"This is an emergency broadcast.
A state of emergency was declared.

Well, shit...
