Chapter 10: Chapter 10: a tour i guess?

Pov: John

"Well, since you are so foreign to this world I will explain everything that you needed to know the most!" Said Rey in an excited voice.

We are right now in the southeast part of the city of St. Louise after walking for about 10 minutes to the north which is a bit tiring but doable.

Hela was asking Rey about the vehicles and stuff while we were walking and Rey just answered it all skillfully. 

Rey is leading our walk while Hela and I are right beside each other just following Rey right behind him.

"If you are done with the questions then I'll start with common knowledge, this planet's name is called Earth which is divided into seven continents," yeah, didn't think that he would start at the name of the planet but okay.

"The name of the continents differs from their size. For example, the first continent is the biggest while the second continent is the second biggest. This pattern will continue till we reached the seventh continent." He said as we walk into a pedestrian lane while I'm just seeing the scenery which is just buildings, Nature's better.

"The continent we live in right now is the second one, a country called rowan in a city called st. Louise," we entered a building while he was explaining some things to her while Hela was just nodding again and again. It was a clothing building that has the name made in hell. A pretty weird name but okay.

"Welcome dear customers," said a woman in her 50s She has white hair, a wrinkled face, and a pair of eyeglasses.

"Yo grandma Maria! Please recommend this girl's clothing? She forgot to bring her clothes to a cosplay event so she is a bit in trouble right now," Rey said a lie with a straight face. Also, I'm pretty sure they are not blood-related but he can call her whatever he wants I don't really care.

"Okay! Now let me see..." The grandma then went to Hela observing her from left to right. Suddenly nodding, she then dragged her to the woman's changing room. She's energetic for her age not gonna lie.

*10 minutes later*

"Hey! You kids! Bring me some opinions!"

I'm just standing at the entrance with Rey waiting for it to be done but unexpectedly, she called us out.

"What do you think? She said that she wanted her sword to accompany her so I made this specific dress just for her!"

Hela now wears a casual grey t-shirt and a knee-length black skirt. Her sword is hanging on her waist making it fairly comparable to her dress. In my opinion, it seems kinda... Casual for my taste but she looks very happy with it.

"So, How does it look?" The grandma said.

"Hmm, it's very nice and casual. I would recommend it," Rey said while nodding with confirmation.

"I don't really care," I said. Her outfit should be good enough. Not too fancy but not too shabby.

"Nice! That will be 10000 pesos," wait, what the fuck?

"It's custom-made! Don't give me that look. I already lowered the price," it's still not reasonable.

Rey looked at me with pity but I know he wasn't going to help my predicament because this isn't the first time it happened. What a great friend I have.

"Here," I handed over the money which the grandmother took quickly. Counting it, she then puts it in her shoulder bag. Why do I feel like something is going to happen to my wallet today?

"Visit again anytime!" 

We then left the building after doing our business there.

"So what are your opinions about the people here Hela?" Rey said.

"I... Think that many people here are sly and manipulative," yeah, include Rey there.

"You only know a handful of people around here. Maybe if you get to know more of them around then you might change your mind," Rey said nonstop. Is he offended or something? 

We continued our little walk until we got to a bridge.

"Well, this bridge is called Fey's bridge. Infrastructures like this are named after the person who build them. The said builder can also change its name to a new one but if they haven't decided then their name will be it."

"The scenery around here is kinda unique. This bridge connects the southeast and the northeast part of the city and is also usually packed with vehicles. The only reason that you could barely see any people right now is that it's Saturday right now." When did this become a literature lesson? I swear I just finish my second year yesterday. Honestly, I'm kinda more surprised that the water is clear here.

We then walked to the northeast side of the city. The southeast part was packed with tall buildings and apartments but here you could see normal houses from left to right.

"This part of the city is where the common people live. I also live here and it's pretty fun. Hey John, why aren't you going to move again here?" Rey questioned me.

"My sister said she loved that apartment."

"Isn't that kinda expensive? Like really expensive?"

"We have VIP. I don't think we're going to move soon," I was actually planning to live there for the rest of my life.

Rey nodded as he continues his talk.

We then walked to the northwest part of the city which was only mainly a police station and some big jails. No one would likely live there so there was not much to say about that.

If you are thinking how could we walk for so long, well, it's because our stamina is quite big, not as big as Rey though.

"The southwest area is a district that is mainly for tourist attractions. There are many restaurants, carnivals, zoos, stuff like that. I would recommend getting into a restaurant during our visit and let me hear your opinion about this Hela," I got a bad feeling about this.

Hela just nodded quietly as we go into the restaurant.  It was a 4.6-rated one when I looked it up and it has a good reputation. The name was the ceiling of heaven which is another weird name. It is also weird that I only heard of this thing today but I guess I just forgot it.

"Welcome to the ceiling of heaven. The table of your group is right this way," said a waiter that is waiting right in front of the entrance.

Look, mom! A sword!

Is that a real thing? Is that even allowed?

Goddamn, that guy has a great build!

Did they get the VIP? How rich are they?

White hair? Did she dye it or is it natural?

While we were following the waiter, murmurs were coming from people who were originally eating was overflowing. Wait, VIP?

"Please come this way."

We were then led to a room with one table and four chairs. The room was dimly lit but it was enough to lighten up the room.

"Your orders are here," wait, I haven't even ordered one yet, something fishy is going on here.

I looked at my plate with a suspicious look but all I could find is a normal steak. It looks greatly cooked and it smells great! 

Hela started eating quietly while Rey is just sitting there looking at both of us as if he was waiting for us to start.

Fine

I took a bite, it wasn't bad and is quite good actually. For a normal restaurant that is. Why is this place so unnecessarily fancy though?

"So, how was it?" Said Rey.

"I guess it exceeded my expectations by a bit."

"It was quite... A normal dish," me and Hela gave out our opinions while Rey looked at us like we were some kind of monsters.

"*sigh* welp, I guess both of your taste buds are insanely picky alright," he said as he raises his hands in defeat. I still have that bad feeling. Something is going to happen.

"I guess we will go to our last destination. It is pretty far from here so it will take a while."

Rudy then left the room immediately as Hela followed him. I then tried to follow both of them but something grabbed my arm, it was the waiter.

"Sir, please pay us the bills," 

*exe John's brain stopped working*

"Did I hear it right?"

"Yes sir," said the waiter in a serious and threatening voice.

So this was the bad thing that I was feeling huh? 

"*sigh* how much?"

"50000 pesos"

*exe John's brain stopped working, again*

Yeah, this whole thing is a scam.
