Jin’s POV
Jin wastes no time in leaving the place where he was at and heads out to find the three creatures. After walking a few steps, he realized that he made a blunder. He forgot to place a clone back at the real world to fool unsuspecting people.

“Oh, well. Let’s just make this quick and get back before someone start to realize that I went missing.” he decides.

Then again, he doubts that he could control the clone well while he’s fighting. The creatures are giving him that much of a bad vibe. Plus, it’s not like people will ever look for him.

Jin could sense that those creatures are coming towards him. Good. He can’t be bothered to look for them since he can’t be bothered to use a searching spell. He heads to the courtyard of the school and wait for them there. Less than a minutes later, all three of them arrive.

To be more precise, only two of them show their faces. The third one is hiding nearby. Jin’s guess is that it’s either specialized in long ranged attacks, it uses something that inflicts a fatal wound, but needs really good timing to use it, or it’s going invisible.

As for the other two, the first one is two meters tall with a really well-developed right arm that ends with a mechanical fist. The arm is so out-of-place from his more normal left counterpart it looks deformed and grotesque by contrast. He’s bald, and both his eyes are mechanical which whirl around disturbingly. For his clothing, he’s wearing nothing but a pair of tight black shorts.

The second one, on the other hand, is a female with blonde short hair. Her most notable feature is that she has a really long tail which is sticking out of the part right above her buttocks. The tail is around three meters long, and it ends with a stinger similar to the one scorpions has. She has no arms, and her two legs are full of muscles. She’s wearing a pair of sunglasses and a black bodysuit.

Jin decides to name the first one Muscle, the second one Scorpion, and the third one Ghost until he could find a more suitable name for it.

Ghost is Jin’s first target. He has zero information in it, and he hates surprises. Muscle and Scorpion proceed to intercept him. Jin tries to swat them aside by swinging Felfarthen. Both of them dodge his attack by simply taking a step back.

Scorpion aside, Jin is kind of surprised that Muscle is this nimble. No matter. Ghost comes first.

Scorpion’s stinger flies towards him. When he tries to swat it aside, he got electrocuted. He’s pretty sure that the voltage is enough to kill a normal human, but unfortunately for her, he’s no normal human. His double-bladed sword managed to swat the stinger aside.

Muscle moves in next. His right fist is coming towards Jin, and it’s ready to punch his head off. He decides to encase the tall man inside a coffin made of ice. After that’s done, Jin jumps over the coffin and begins his search for Ghost. He activates his Eye of Truth and sees something near the window of one of the classrooms on the second floor, so that’s where he flies to.

As he’s flying, he hears something explodes behind him. He’s certain that the ice was strong and freezing enough to trap a real giant. Guess it was too weak for Muscle. Or it’s because he did something with that fist of his.

When Jin gets closer to the classroom, he sees seven spikes the length of his fist flying towards him at a scary speed. He doesn’t know what the spike can do, so he dodged them all. One second later, he hear a loud roar of pain coming from behind him. He turns around to see the spikes impaling Muscle’s body. One even pierced his mechanical left eye. Jin shrugs and continues to fly towards the classroom.

He smashed through the windows and managed to land safely. There, he sees Ghost, whom he should rename as Spike. Most of his body is covered with, well, spikes. He’s like a human version of porcupine. Like Muscle, Spike is also wearing nothing but a pair of shorts. His blue eyes are staring at Jin without a single hint of emotion.

Jin sees Muscle and Scorpion leaping to the classroom from the corner of his eye, so he moves out of the way. The two of them land on the spot Jin was standing only a second ago.

Muscle has pulled out all the spikes that impaled his body. All those spots are bleeding, except his eye where the mechanical eyeball was. Since he looks completely fine, Jin concludes that those spikes aren’t-

He ducks as more spikes flew over his head. They impale the wall behind him. And then, the wall starts to melt like they had very strong acid poured on them. Jin stares at them dumbly, but he had to concentrate as Scorpion’s tail are coming for him again. Muscle is also attacking Jin with his oversized arm. Now that Jin can take a closer look, he realizes that there are lots of small holes on the mechanical first. Whatever thing that comes out of them are probably responsible for blowing up the ice just now.

What’s going on? If the spikes can melt through things, Muscle should have suffered the same fate as the wall. But he didn’t. he takes a quick look at Spike. His right arm is reached out, and some of the spikes on it are gone, indicating that that’s where the spikes that were fired earlier came from. As Jin watches, the spikes grew back.

Jin senses Muscle behind him. He turns around just in time to see a punch being aimed at his face. He dodges it and proceeds to slit his throat with Felfarthen. The man with the deformed arm goes down while making incomprehensible noises. Jin wastes no time and moves on to Scorpion.

Apparently, her leg muscles aren’t for show as she starts to hop around the classroom with blinding speed. Well, Jin can still see her, but it would have been impossible for a normal human. With an accuracy that might impress any professional javelin thrower, Jin skewers Scorpion’s chest with his sword and pins her on the wall. Now, only Spike remains-

Jin notices a movement to his right. He was so dumbfounded when he looked that he was almost impaled by the spikes shot out by Spike. Muscle is slowly getting up even though his throat has been slit.

While being mindful of both him and Spike, Jin throws a quick glance towards the wall where Scorpion is pinned. She’s struggling fiercely to break free with a wound that definitely proved fatal to a normal human being, or any other creature for that matter.

Mechanical eyes. Able to move while being frozen. Tail that conducts electricity without using magic. Not dying from fatal wounds. Yup. At least two, if not all of them are cyborgs. He might be wrong since both Muscle and Scorpion are bleeding, but that’s the only conclusion he could reach. If so, there’s no way he can give them a quick death.

He tries Lightning Prison, a Level 5 spell on all three of them. Three large balls of lightning engulf and electrocute them. Jin doesn’t know how high is the voltage of the lightning ball, but it’s high enough to burn their body. The smell of flesh being cooked reaches Jin’s nose, and he had to endure the unpleasant smell until the deed is done.

Eventually, Muscle and Spike go down, and Scorpion stops struggling. All three of them are singed beyond recognition, with their body now the color of coals. Jin waits patiently for them to start moving again. A few minutes has passed, and they’re not moving, just like how corpses should be. It’s finally over.

To be honest, Jin could end this in a second. All he needed to do was go overboard and bombard the trio with high level spell. The problem is that whoever that modified the three of them probably installed a camera or something inside them so that they could gather data. Jin has already shown Mirror World. He wanted to finish these three off with just his sword. Unfortunately for him, that was proved to be impossible.

Jin sighs. No matter how many times he does it, he still can’t get used to killing humans. Sure, these three were altered and modified so much that they can’t be classified as humans anymore, but they were humans once too. Well, at least he’s not puking like when he first started.

After making sure that they’re really not moving anymore, Jin pulls out Felfarthen from Scorpion’s body. Her lifeless corpse falls to the ground with a thud.

Jin looks at the three corpses again. Scorpion is a blonde, Spike has blue eyes, and Muscle looks like a Western foreigner even without his natural eyes. Two men and a woman. CIA agent Diana Shannon was looking for her three missing colleagues. Jin doesn’t like where this is going. First thing first, he needs to take care of the bodies. He settled with putting them inside coffins made of ice and put them inside the Vault. With that done, he heads to the secluded spot earlier and undo Mirror World. He then takes out his phone and calls Shannon.

“Is something the matter, Mister Minase?” she asks once she picks up the phone.

“Can I have a description of your missing colleagues?” he requests.

“Hmm? Well, as I said before, they’re two men and a woman. One of the men is really tall and bald, the second one is around your height, and the woman has short blonde hair. All three of them have blue eyes.”

   Yup, it’s really them.

“Um, I have good news and bad news for you.”

“Wait, have you found them?” she asks without being able to contain her excitement.

   “Yes. That’s the good news.”

   Jin hears her inhales sharply.

“...They didn’t make it, did they?” she asks in a soft voice.

“In a manner of speaking, no. And I had to put them down.”

“I see. Are their bodies with you?”

“Yes. Please prepare yourself mentally before you come and retrieve them.”

   “Understood.”

Both Shannon and her colleagues were stationed outside Yokosuka, so Jin walked outside to meet them. They didn’t even bat an eyelid when Jin make the coffins which contain their colleagues appear out of nowhere. They were, however, shocked with their outward appearances.

“What happened to them?” one of them asks Jin. “And I’m not asking about their charred bodies.”

“I have no idea, to be honest. They already looked like that when they appeared. Most likely, they were being experimented on.”

He then told the agents about the fight he had with the three of them.

The agent grits his teeth. “Whoever that did this to them is going to pay.”

The others mutter their agreement angrily.

“I’m sorry that I couldn’t give them a quick death. I tried, but it was impossible.” Jin apologizes.

   “Understandable, considering the circumstances.”

Majority of the agents are stone-faced as they put the bodies of their former colleagues into the prepared body bags, but two of them weep openly. Shannon bows at Jin.

“Thank you for bringing them back to us. They’re not with us anymore, but at least they can rest in peace now.”

“Will you be sending their bodies back to America?”

“Yes, although only some of us will return. The rest of us have to continue with our mission.”

“I see. Well, good luck in that, even though one of your mission is to observe me.”

“Thank you. Good luck to you as well.”

With this finally over, Jin heads back to his school.

Estyshana’s POV
Really, what was that Hero thinking? The least he could do is leave a clone to fool their classmates. Esty somehow managed to convince Chifuyu and Watanabe that he had to leave the school for a while to take care of something. It was quite difficult since she didn’t use her Bloodline Magic. Eventually, he’s finally back. And he’s still in one piece. Esty lets out a sigh of relief-

Wait, what is she thinking? Why would she wants him to be safe? Oh, that’s right. He’s not worth defeating if he’s not in his full strength. Yup. That must be it. Esty wasn’t worried about him at all. Definitely not.

“Have you taken care of the intruders?” Audrey Graylock asks him while Esty is dealing with her inner crisis.

   “Sure did.” he replies.

“Does that mean we can continue with walking around the entire place?” the Ice Elder Dragon called Nyri asks next.

“Why didn’t you just do it without me?”

“I wanted to, but everyone else insisted on waiting for you.”

He raises his eyebrow at Esty.

“Not me. I was on the dragon’s side.” Esty immediately denies.

   “Thought so.”

Just as they’re about to resume their aimless wandering, Esty’s phone rings. It was Chifuyu.

“Can you come back to the classroom for a bit, Esty? Our parents and onee-chan are here.” she tells Esty.

   “...Our?”

   Chifuyu gasps.

“I mean mine! Gosh, you’ve become such an important family member that I’ve forgotten that you’re only my cousin.”

   “Um, sure.”

   “Just come here quickly, okay?”

   “Of course.”

Family, huh? That honestly sounds very nice. Too bad that it’ll scatter and crumble the moment Esty’s lie is exposed.

“Is something wrong?” Aldenia asks once Esty hangs up.

“Nothing. It’s just that the rest of my host family are here to visit.”

“You should go talk to them for a bit, then.” Audrey tells her.

“But, what about all of you?”

   “We shall accompany you.”

“I have somewhere that I need to go.” the Hero suddenly announces.

“Again? Where it it this time?” Aldenia asks him.

“Just somewhere. You girls go ahead.”

Esty could only grit her teeth in frustration as she knows the true reason that he refuses to go back to their classroom.

The entire Wakaba family were waiting for Esty. Mama Kana even got her camera ready.

“You look very nice in that Chinese dress, Esty-chan!” she compliments when she saw Esty’s outfit.

Esty smiles. “Thank you, Mama Kana.”

The Wakaba family then notices the Graylock sisters and the dragon. For some werid reason, Chinatsu is averting her eyes from Nyri.

“Are they your friends, Esty-chan?” Mama Kana asks.

“Well, sort of. These two are the Graylocks. This is the elder Audrey, and this is the younger Aldenia.” Esty introduces the sisters to them.

“Greetings and nice to meet you all.” Audrey greets while curtsying.

Mama Kana beams. “My, what a polite young lady you are.”

“Hello there, my name is Aldenia.” Aldenia greets next.

   “Nice to meet you, Aldenia-san.”

Esty is kind of surprised that Aldenia isn’t doing an energetic greeting. She then notices her fidgeting. So she’s being nervous and has to restrain herself from being rude.

“This is Nyri.” Esty moves on.

   “Hello there.” Nyri greets.

“Oh my, another foreigner? Are you a college student?” Mama Kana asks. “You sure give out that vibe.”

   “Um, yes I am.”

“Ah, I thought so. Which college are you studying at?”

   “The, um, Tokyo University.”

“Wow, you must be very smart!”

Esty notices that Chinatsu is secretly letting out a sigh of relief. She wonders what’s wrong with her. Well, time to mess with her. She poses while smiling smugly.

“How do I look, Chinatsu?” she asks the police officer.

“You look nice in that. By the way, is there a need for you to make a pose?”

“Of course. How else am I going to show off my curves?”

“You just have to rub it in every chance you get, huh?” Chinatsu asks frostily.

“Can you do another pose, Esty-chan?” Mama Kana requests while taking picture of Esty.

Chinatsu sighs. “I hope you don’t intend to go overboard with this, mother. I would hate to arrest my own parent.”

“Oh, don’t be such a spoilsport, Chinatsu. I’m just taking pictures, nothing more.”

“Do you remember last year? You know, the part where you followed a group of schoolgirls into the changing room?”

“That was a very close call, and very embarrassing.” Uncle Shun says.

“That was in the past. I have better control of myself now. And why aren’t you saying anything about Esty-chan’s clothes, dear?”

   “I don’t think it’s a good idea for a middle-aged man like me to compliment a young girl’s clothing.”

“Nonsense. Just think of it as being polite.”

“Well, all right then. That dress looks good on you, Esty.” he says awkwardly to Esty.

   “Thank you, Uncle Shun.”

Esty notices that Chinatsu is constantly looking around. She’s probably looking for the Hero. Esty is so glad that he’s not here right now.

“Say Esty-chan, Can you say Ni Hao for me?” Mama Kana requests next.

Esty has no idea what that means, but she decides to oblige.

   “Ni Hao.” she repeats.

Mama Kana lets out an excited squeal.

“Now you sound like a real Chinese!”

   “Um, thank you.”

Mama Kana took lots of picture of Esty. She also took some of the Graylocks and Nyri.

“It’s time to get going, mother.” Chinatsu tells Mama Kana.

“Aww, already? I haven’t take enough pictures yet!”

“You’re bothering them. Besides, we’re done eating the desserts. We should leave since we’re hogging up the seats.”

Mama Kana suddenly notices the customers who are lining up outside.

“I guess it’s time for us to leave.” she agrees reluctantly.

   “I’m glad that you understand.”

They left the classroom after saying their farewell. Esty heard Mama Kana saying something about wanting to go look for more girls to take picture.

“I really hope she won’t do something crazy like last year again.” Chifuyu sighs.

“Don’t worry. I’m sure that Chinatsu-san will stop her if she ever goes overboard.” Watanabe assures her.

   “I hope so.”

“By the way, where’s Minase-kun?” Watanabe asks Esty.

“I have no idea. He said that he had something to take care of, so he went somewhere.”

“Typical Minase-kun, huh? I guess someone should call him.”

   “I’ll do it.”

Turns out the Hero is inside a classroom right below them.

“You can come to our classroom now.” she informs him grumpily.

“Got it. And don’t I get any thanks?”

“Not even when hell freezes three times over.”

After she hangs up, she told them that he’s heading for the classroom.
