Also, she has already promised to show everyone her true colors, so of course, there would be a sudden change in her character, actions, and words.
Ocean was a familiar face and stopped backing. Then she got up and ran off towards the direction Jasmine had left with her pups, and in the guardian of her Nanny.
Lanying gave FangSu a good glance before responding, “Since there is no reliable human to win over, animals are topping my list now.”
FangSu scoffed, “Good! You have learned how to reply, it looks like you have been suffocating for a long time hiding your true self.”
She was not that surprised by her new character, after all, she has never trusted that she was innocent. But staring into her eyes without fear, but with courage, annoyed her, but she. hose not to show it.
Lanying smiled, “It’s good to have my freedom now and breathe in some fresh air.”
After saying that, Lanying walked back into the house as a smirk turned up on her lips.
FangSu scoffed and watched her walk away. “She really has some nerves!” She said angrily with clenched fists.
’Where did Aunt get this girl from again?” FangSu thought.
She was still in disbelief that Lanying would one day dare to speak to her in that manner. This was a big surprise to her.
A few days later, Lanying collided with Jia Li.
When she felt that everyone had left the house, Lanying explored some of the places in the house, while making sure that no servant was watching.
She didn’t have any thoughts of stealing anything or taking pictures, she just wanted to take a good look at some of the rooms.
She had the option of asking a servant to take her around, but she didn’t because she didn’t feel like doing the right thing.
At this point, she didn’t care if she was caught and thrown out of the house, maybe that was what she sought for.
Lanying was still exploring and saw the laundry room, other visitors’ room, and the library before staring at a door. That was the remaining place she hadn’t stepped foot into on the ground floor.
With that knowledge in mind, she stepped forward, gently opened the door, and walked in.
The room had good lighting and most importantly, she discovered it was a workshop, probably where Jia Li and Fu Hua worked on their designs while at home.
She was still wowed at the room when she heard a soft sigh from her side.

Out of instinct, the first thing she did was to turn in that direction in fear. She didn’t know that someone would be in that room.
She had thought that everyone had left the house after breakfast, but who knew that she was wrong?
Lanying panicked a little when she met Jia Li’s gaze. With a good glance at her, she could tell that her strong into the room had woken her up from sleep.
Jia Li did not expect that Lanying would be the one to disturb her sleep. She had asked the servants not to disturb her while she worked, but she ended up feeling sleepy and had to lay on the couch to rest.
She still had more work to do, so she didn’t think of going to her bedroom to sleep comfortably.
Jia Li didn’t go to work today because Fu Hua gave her a leave so she could put her mind in order, for her next collection launching.
Seeing Lanying in the room, her brain booted immediately. She just knew that she must have come in alone, as no servants would dare to let her in after passing an instruction to them.
Jia Li released a deep sigh and said with a hand on her forehead, “What are you doing here?” Her tone was gentle, and that may be what made Lanying not to be rude toward her.
”I’m sorry to disturb you, I was curious about this room, so I walked in here to check it out,” Lanying replied.
Jia Li massaged her temples and asked, “Do you want to get in trouble?” She didn’t understand what was wrong with Lanying.
After getting in trouble the other day, she seemed to have forgotten about it and was already out for another one. Didn’t she like herself?
Lanying relaxed her nerves and went on to reply with a fearless gaze in her. “I don’t want to get into trouble, but what can I do when trouble seems to follow me around?”
Jia Li didn’t know what she was getting at, but she was not interested and had no time to play with her. She had already disturbed her sleep and was not in the mood.
”Trouble will not follow you around if you don’t want it. You have to leave now.” Jia Li said and sat up properly. Her tone was no longer gentle like before, but it was not harsh either.
Lanying chuckled softly and took two steps forward. She didn’t seem to fear Jia Li and was even thinking about why she should leave because she was asked to.
”Why does everyone like you? I heard your story from my mother, and you are no different from me, but they all accepted you. I also heard that your marriage was arranged, how did you get a difficult man like your husband to love you?”
’Is she here to make trouble?’ Jia Li thought in amazement.
She couldn’t even get angry even if she wanted. She had seen so many scheming people, but not one trying to get herself into trouble knowingly.
Jia Li could tell that she was purposely trying to find trouble with her. But the reason for it was not clear to her.
”It looks like you have a grudge against my acceptance into the family. You want to know why I was accepted into the family?” Jia Li asked, and then continued, “It’s because I didn’t try to pretend who I was not. I was true to myself and to them.”
