Chapter 130: A Polished Scoundrel And A Beast In Human Clothing

Su Wan did not know when Jiang Xuecheng arrived. He was wearing a casual suit without a necktie with a straight grey shirt.

Jiang Xuecheng stood beside Su Wan, looking at her with his eyes down.

Su Wan felt a sensation in her nose. She didn’t wish to cry at first but when she saw Jiang Xuecheng by her side, her eyes were teary. Luckily, in S City, he was still by her side.

Su Wan stood up and dashed into his embrace, not wanting him to see her tears. She nestled against the man’s thick shoulders and her voice was soft and weak.

“Let me lean on you for a while, just a little while.”

Jiang Xuecheng was stunned. He rarely saw Su Wan in this state. He pursed his lips and although he enjoyed Su Wan taking the initiative, he didn’t like the emotional storm she was currently facing.

Such indifferent sorrow, was like a suffocating fish which lacks oxygen.

Jiang Xuecheng fixed his eyes on Su Wan, with obvious tender love in his black eyes. “Did the Su family members bully you?”

Jiang Xuecheng wrapped his arms around Su Wan’s neck and his gentle voice turned cold and hard.

“I said to bring me along so you don’t have to do anything. I’ll help you bully them.”

Su Wan turned tears into smiles. She parted from Jiang Xuecheng’s shoulders and smiled. “You…I don’t know if I should call you narcissistic or self-confident.”

This presumptuous sentence seemed natural and proper when it came from Jiang Xuecheng and it even made one believe in his capability.

When Jiang Xuecheng saw that Su Wan had smiled, he couldn’t help stretching his hand to tap on her nose. “Wan Wan, let’s go since your mood is better now.”

When Su Wan nodded, Jiang Xuecheng opened the door for Su Wan. “Wan Wan, come on!”

He stood very near Su Wan and she could smell his clean and cool breath. Su Wan blushed and thought she couldn’t resist the gentleness that flowed naturally from his face.

It was wonderful to have him by her side…

Su Wan was silent. She got into the co-driver’s seat quickly.

Jiang Xuecheng walked to the other side of his car and got up to the driver’s seat. Su Wan moved her body toward him and pulled his seatbelt as she carefully buckled it for Jiang Xuecheng.

Seeing Su Wan seriously at work, Jiang Xuecheng smiled and teased, “Wan Wan, you taking the initiative today has overwhelmed me.”

Su Wan rolled her eyes and returned to the co-driver’s seat. Then, she slowly buckled her own seatbelt.

“Hey, don’t say it as if I normally treat you badly.”

Jiang Xuecheng turned his head sideways and his eyes followed Su Wan’s hand gestures. Then, he spoke.

“Isn’t it? When we just got married, you treated me badly. You resisted performing your duty as a wife and until now, you’re still unwilling.”

Jiang Xuecheng’s teasing entered her ears and she was taken aback. There was a burning sensation on her beautiful face, like white jade stained with rouge.

She wished she could pretend she didn’t understand what he meant.

How could this wolf say such things in broad day light while keeping a straight face?

Watching his serious expression, she couldn’t sense a bit of mischief in him. She was impressed!

Su Wan rejoiced in her heart that there were no others in the car or she would be embarrassed…

She coughed softly and diverted from the topic. “Alright, alright, I’ll treat you better next time. Where are you bringing me to eat, Xuecheng?”

Jiang Xuecheng had good culinary skills and Su Wan thought many of the chefs outside could not compare to her husband’s culinary skill.

They hardly went out to eat. When both of them were free, Jiang Xuecheng would cook at home while Su Wan would stand by his side to wash the vegetables and assist Jiang Xuecheng.

Jiang Xuecheng raised his brows and smiled charmingly.

“Golden Sand Entertainment City at Glazed Street.”

Su Wan was slightly surprised. That was the high-end entertainment club where she and her high schoolmates had their gathering.

She had thought Jiang Xuecheng would bring her to a restaurant. This was beyond her expectation.

“You’re not bringing me to see your friend, are you?”

Su Wan thought for a while. Since they were going to an entertainment club and Jiang Xuecheng did not have the habit of singing and drinking, it must be a date with friends.

What she was certain about was that his friend must be his peer. Who would bring the elderly to an entertainment club? At least, Su Wan would not do this.

While Jiang Xuecheng turned the steering wheel, he replied to Su Wan’s question, “It’s Tang Yifeng. He forced me out on a dinner date with him and he says to bring you.”

Tang Yifeng?

Hearing the unfamiliar name, Su Wan started thinking. She couldn’t recall who that person was at first.

After putting in some effort in recalling, an image of a handsome young man wearing gold framed glasses appeared in her mind.

When the man did not smile, he looked gentle. When he smiled, he had the same temperament as Lu Qingyu. At first glance, he looked like a playboy who would trick little girls.

“Oh, is he the polished scoundrel who stood beside you when I had my blind date?”

Jiang Xuecheng who was driving heard Su Wan’s comment about his friend and he laughed out loud unconsciously.

Jiang Xuecheng mischievously raised his brows and smiled faintly. “You called Tang Yifeng a polished scoundrel? Hmmm, this title is appropriate. I’ll tell him later.”

That sentence escaped from Su Wan’s lips just now and had not carefully thought it through. When she realized she had belittled Jiang Xuecheng’s friend, Su Wan smiled and begged softly.

“Don’t. I’ve only seen Tang Yifeng once and what I said was all bullsh*t. Please don’t take it seriously and please don’t tell him that. It’ll be hurtful…”

“Wan Wan, what benefits do I get if I don’t tell him?”

Jiang Xuecheng shrugged and his cold eyes had a sense of evilness. “Why don’t you tell me what your impression of me is if Tang Yifeng is a polished scoundrel?”

Su Wan darted him a careful look and with a face of awkwardness, she asked, “Do you want to hear the truth or a fake one?”

Su Wan was not very natural and Jiang Xuecheng was more curious. “Of course I want to hear the truth!”

“You’re the one who requested to hear it. After hearing, don’t blame me for having a poisonous mouth.”

Su Wan looked directly into Jiang Xuecheng’s eyes. She cleared her throat and with a smile which was too profound to be understood, she said word by word, “You are a standard beast in human clothing!”
