Chapter 139: A Call From Dong Chen Country

Jiang Xuecheng blinked and he pursed his lips. “Alright, I’ll come down immediately.”

Although that was what Jiang Xuecheng said, he did not look like he had the intention to stand up. Instead, he stood calmly beside Su Wan.

Ah Si glanced at his young master hesitantly and his eyes fell on his young madam, who was flipping through the documents on the couch.

Eh, how long was immediately?

Forget standing here, he’d better be tactful and go out first.

“Young Master, I’ll inform Mr. Li now and review the contract with him.”

“Okay, please do.”

Jiang Xuecheng was very satisfied with Ah Si’s tactfulness. He waved gently and Ah Si walked out of the office, closing the carved solid wood door before he left.

Walking out of Jiang Xuecheng’s private office, Ah Si was proud of his quick wit. It was difficult to find an assistant like him who understood what his superior was thinking!

On the other hand, when Su Wan raised her head and saw Jiang Xuecheng still standing there and not barging, she looked on in surprise.

“Didn’t Ah Si say Mr. Li wanted to see you? Why are you still here? It’s not nice to let him wait for you.”

Su Wan said it naturally but her words went into Jiang Xuecheng’s left ear and out from his right.

Jiang Xuecheng lowered his head while examining her. His dark eyes were sparkling, as if yearning for more pleasure.

“I’ll go if you kiss me.”

Su Wan rolled her eyes. This man was like a child when he acted childishly, just like a little boy asking for candy from his parents!

To avoid Jiang Xuecheng’s client from waiting too long and not becoming Helen of Troy in the eyes of Di Chen’s employees led by Ah Si, Su Wan thought she’d better take the initiative.

Su Wan stood up. She tiptoed and placed a gentle kiss on Jiang Xuecheng’s cheek speedily.

After all this, Su Wan was ready to continue studying the project paper but to her surprise, just as she took half a step backward, Jiang Xuecheng stretched out his hand.

He seized Su Wan’s shoulders and brought her into his embrace.

The man lowered his head and found Su Wan’s rose-like lips.

Before Su Wan could react, a cool kiss fell on her lips and his exclusive cold breath started to spread.

Jiang Xuecheng’s eyes darkened. Kissing Su Wan was indeed addictive, always making him yearn for more.

However, a client was waiting for him now and he knew he had to stop in time.

If this would continue, he could not guarantee his self-control would remain strong.

Her eyes met his deep eyes and she was stunned. After a moment of hesitance, he withdrew his hands.

Su Wan’s breath was slightly uneven. She looked at Jiang Xuecheng as if put in a difficult position. “Jiang Xuecheng, you…”

Jiang Xuecheng smiled without uttering a single word. He touched Su Wan’s hair and then marched out of the office.

Watching Jiang Xuecheng disappear outside the solid wooden door, Su Wan took a shallow breath but her eyes remained hazy.

She had told him not to touch her in the office. After being kissed by Jiang Xuecheng, Su Wan suddenly felt she couldn’t continue reading the project paper of Beitong’s celebration banquet.

Those stagnant black words had suddenly turned into a group of moving little tadpoles and Su Wan’s mind was not at ease.

Sigh, this had really given her a terrible headache!

Su Wan massaged her creased forehead gently and kept taking deep breaths to get rid of her restlessness.

After two to three minutes, Su Wan let out a long sigh and felt much calmer.

She slowly read through the project paper of Beitong’s celebration banquet once again and was thinking how she would answer the emcee’s questions.

Just then, the sound of phone vibration entered Su Wan’s ears followed by a beautiful piano piece.

Wasn’t this Jiang Xuecheng’s ringtone?

Su Wan closed the file in her hand and looked toward the source of sound. Very quickly, she found Jiang Xuecheng’s mobile phone on a high table.

Su Wan walked over slowly and took the silver black mobile phone. She saw the number on the phone display and was instantly taken aback.

It was an international call and it was from Dong Chen Country!

That phone number had not been saved by Jiang Xuecheng. It was probably not someone familiar…

Su Wan suppressed her curiosity. She slid her mobile phone with her index finger and accepted the call.

“Hello…”

Su Wan only managed to say hello before she heard a female voice that sounded like the sounds of nature.

With the exception of Jiang Xuecheng’s voice, this was the most beautiful voice Su Wan had ever heard. It was softer than the spring breeze and even if the volume were to increase, it wouldn’t be sharp and irritating to the ears.

“Brother Xuecheng, how are you? Haoxuan and I will return in two weeks!”

Brother Xuecheng?

A girl who addressed Jiang Xuecheng as ‘brother’ should be the one whom the Jiang family had adopted, the one named Sheng An’ning.

At the thought of the girl whose facial features were similar to hers, Su Wan’s heart choked and unconsciously, she held the phone tighter.

Su Wan was rather baffled. It was only a little intimate address and she felt ill…

“Brother Xuecheng, the cello course I took has ended. Do you remember the classical music concert we attended in high school? Actually, I gave up on the guqin and went for the cello…because you once said that girls who learn the cello are classier.”

Su Wan was stupefied after hearing this. She didn’t know Jiang Xuecheng had made such a statement before…

On the other end, when Sheng An’ning realized Jiang Xuecheng was quiet, she was disappointed.

However, when she recalled how he was usually scanty of words and had not ended her call yet, Sheng An’ning took up the courage to continue speaking.

“I’ve learned the cello for quite some time now. I’ll play it for you when I’m back, okay? Do you think I can be the classy girl in your heart?”

“Oh, right, my hair has reached below my waist. Haoxuan ordered me to cut it short but I feel you won’t like girls with short hair…”

The more Su Wan listened, the more she was upset. Although Sheng An’ning had mentioned Jiang Haoxuan again and again, she seemed to have no special feelings for the little brother but rather, for Jiang Xuecheng…

Moreover, she mentioned her waist long hair. She obviously knew Jiang Xuecheng liked girls with long hair.

Recalling her promise toward Jiang Xuecheng that she would not cut her hair short, Su Wan bit her lip and finally answered.

“Hello miss, Jiang Xuecheng is not around at the moment. May I help you?”

Sheng An’ning gasped and was silent for a long time. She had not expected her words to fall into someone else’s ears.

Furthermore, that person was a woman. When did Jiang Xuecheng employ a female assistant?
