Lu Qingyu looked up leisurely and said, “I’ve emailed you the details of the seller.”
Before Lu Qingyu’s voice died down, Jiang Xuecheng’s phone vibrated. He lowered his head and saw the notification for a new email.
Jiang Xuecheng shot Lu Qingyu a glance and his magnetic voice was calm without waves.
“Thank you. From now on, we are friends.”
Before waiting for Lu Qingyu to answer, Jiang Xuecheng turned around and left. He headed straight for Room 4566.
It had only been ten minutes since the successful bid of blue diamond necklace. The seller must still be in the cruise ship. He would still be in time.
Lu Qingyu smiled. Jiang Xuecheng’s friends were few and far between and the favor he had provided this time was of great value.
Two minutes later, Jiang Xuecheng stood outside Room 4566. He knocked on the door three times but no one answered.
Lu Qingyu had given Jiang Xuecheng the password for Room 4566. So, Jiang Xuecheng opened the door directly without waiting for the person to open it.
In the room sat a man in his thirties with a cigarette in hand.
Through the hazy smoke, the man couldn’t see Jiang Xuecheng’s face clearly. He frowned and snapped, “Who are you?”

When Jiang Xuecheng returned to Room 1311, Su Wan had sat there waiting for more than an hour.
When she saw Jiang Xuecheng’s face, a surprise flashed through her eyes. She stood up quickly, “Xuecheng, how did it go?”
Jiang Xuecheng smiled faintly but did not say much.
“Everything went well. I’ve asked Ah Si to check.”
If the information was correct, the person who sold the man the blue diamond necklace was Sun Yiming, the driver who caused Su Wan’s parents’ car accident.
All of this spared no effort in searching.
Su Wan let out a sigh of relief. Jiang Xuecheng didn’t want to say much and she wouldn’t ask further in order not to disturb its progress.
Just then, Jiang Xuecheng’s phone rang. He saw Ah Si’s phone number on the screen and he frowned.
Had Ah Si made new progress within such a short time?
Jiang Xuecheng picked up the phone. His eyes were deep and no one could make out his current emotions.
“Young Master, something’s wrong.”
Hearing this, Jiang Xuecheng’s heart sank slightly. He asked softly, “What’s wrong? If there’s a problem, just say so.”
Jiang Xuecheng did not have the intention to hide from Su Wan. So, the call was received on speaker mode and Su Wan could hear Ah Si’s words clearly.
She frowned and there were many bad guesses in her mind.
Ah Si’s tone of voice sounded nervous, “Young Master, the driver by the name of Sun Yiming has long moved out of S City. He might have changed his name and gone abroad.”
Upon hearing this, a light flashed through Jiang Xuecheng’s eyes. He didn’t look half flustered and his voice was calm.
“Since Sun Yiming was born in S City, it’ll be impossible for him to have moved all his family members and relatives abroad.”
Ah Si took in a light breath and reported what he had investigated to Jiang Xuecheng.
“When Sun Yiming was in S City, he wasn’t married and had no wife and children. However, he has a mother aged seventy plus who’s still in S City. All payment on the bank card comes from within the country and nothing looks unusual.”

Was this unexpected clue leading nowhere again?
Jiang Xuecheng’s eyes turned cold. He didn’t believe Sun Yiming would abandon his old mother here.
“Ah Si, send someone to keep an eye on Sun Yiming’s family, especially on the changes in funds. In addition, please check his mother’s domestic account thoroughly.”
Ah Si replied immediately, “Alright, Young Master, will do.”
Jiang Xuecheng pursed his lips and a faint smile appeared on his handsome face. “Thank you, Ah Si.”
“Most welcome, Young Master.”

When Jiang Xuecheng ended his call, worry crept into Su Wan’s eyes, “Is the matter difficult to deal with?”
Jiang Xuecheng touched her hair gently and replied, “No, I should say there is progress. At least we know the driver’s identity.”
Su Wan recalled what Jiang Xuecheng and Ah Si said and her eyes were still.
“Is that person’s name Sun Yiming?”
She was afraid she would never forget this name, the name of the murderer who had taken her parents’ life.
Jiang Xuecheng pursed his lips and stared at Su Wan. With a little sympathy in his eyes, he said, “Wan Wan, you don’t need to remember his name.”
She shouldn’t bear so many heavy memories. If possible, Jiang Xuecheng hoped Su Wan’s world would always be bright without darkness.
Su Wan knew what Jiang Xuecheng meant. She leaned her head against Jiang Xuecheng’s shoulders and murmured, “But I want to remember.”
Su Wan would forever remember that rainy night. That night, she could only see her parents being pushed into the emergency room and could only hear the doctor’s condolences and explanation that it was an accident.
However, it wasn’t an accident. Since it was not an accident, she had to find the murderer. This was her belief and her responsibility.
Jiang Xuecheng held Su Wan’s hands and his voice was steady. “Wan Wan, let’s go home.”
The auction had not ended but Jiang Xuecheng and Su Wan were in no mood to stay longer. Today, they learned about Sun Yiming and it was like a vine, slowly entangling their hearts.
When they arrived home, Su Wan was still feeling depressed.
After washing up, Su Wan lay down, about to sleep but with the load on her mind, she wasn’t sleepy even after counting sheep.
Jiang Xuecheng knew Su Wan was worried. He stretched out his arms and pulled her into his embrace.
Su Wan leaned against his arm and said softly, “So, you’re still awake.”
Jiang Xuecheng smiled. “I don’t feel sleepy watching you toss and turn.”
Su Wan was speechless for a moment. At the thought that tomorrow was Saturday and staying up late was not a big problem, she told Jiang Xuecheng about her childhood.
As she spoke, she felt sleepy. Jiang Xuecheng saw Su Wan’s gradually shut eyes and placed a gentle kiss on her forehead.
“Goodnight.”
***
The second morning when Su Wan awoke, she saw Jiang Xuecheng on the phone. “Alright, please wait for a bit. I’ll be right there.”
Feeling shocked, Su Wan darted Jiang Xuecheng a glance, “Xuecheng, what’s wrong?”
Jiang Xuecheng took in a light breath. “The prey got hooked. Wan Wan, do you want to come with me?”
“You mean Sun Yiming has been found?”
Su Wan spaced out. Waves arose in her beautiful eyes. How could it be so quick? Wasn’t Sun Yiming abroad?
