The next day, at the break of dawn, the sky was blue. S City which was washed by the rain seemed to be particularly clean. Even the air was much fresher.
Jiang Xuecheng and Su Wan had breakfast together. Then, Su Wan went to the dressing room to pick a plain, dull-colored necktie.
Jiang Xuecheng saw Su Wan taking out the necktie and smiled. Su Wan tip-toed and started helping Jiang Xuecheng put on his necktie.
In just ten seconds or so, the necktie had been perfectly tied on his neck, making him look taller.
Su Wan scanned Jiang Xuecheng from head to toe and then a smile of satisfaction was shown on her face. “Not bad!”
She remembered the first time she had worn a necktie for Jiang Xuecheng. She was clumsy and had almost strangled him.
However, even so, Jiang Xuecheng had requested for her to tie his necktie for him every time after whenever she was free.
Was this a way to enhance the relationship between husband and wife?
No matter what, after some time, she became more and more skilled at wearing a tie for him without strangling him.
After tidying herself, Su Wan and Jiang Xuecheng walked together toward their car parked outside the door.
Jiang Xuecheng walked over to the co-driver’s seat and opened the door for Su Wan. Su Wan had long gotten used to their way of getting along with each other. So, she naturally got into the car.
Su Wan sat in the co-driver’s seat. She raised her head to look at the man controlling the steering wheel. Suddenly, she remembered that Jiang Xuecheng was driving her to Di Chen while he would go to A City to attend to an event.
For some reason, Su Wan felt uneasy, as if something bad would happen when he was out of sight.
Su Wan frowned and massaged her temples, trying to calm herself. However, her right eyelid began to twitch.
Jiang Xuecheng’s eyes were as dark as the night. His eyes swept across Su Wan’s uneasy look and asked simply, “Wan Wan, what’s wrong? Why haven’t you fastened your seat belt?”
Su Wan was in a trance. She responded only when she heard Jiang Xuecheng’s questions. She quickly took her seat belt and buckled it to her seat.
Su Wan was obviously absent-minded when she fastened her seat belt. Only after a long time did she manage to buckle up.
Jiang Xuecheng alertly noticed that something was not right. He pursed his lips and couldn’t help asking her, “You seem to have a load on your mind today, haven’t you?”
Su Wan’s clear eyes revealed a little confusion. She looked at Jiang Xuecheng and explained softly, “It is said that when our left eyelid twitches, it means good luck is befalling us but when our right eyelid twitches, it means disaster is coming. When I was leaving, my right eyelid kept twitching. I have a feeling that something bad is going to happen.”
Upon hearing this, Jiang Xuecheng kept shaking his head. His light lips curved into a faint smile.
“Wan Wan, you’re a person who has received higher education. I’ve always thought you were silly but now, you’re even believing in strange things like this.”
Seeing Su Wan still anxious, Jiang Xuecheng paused and then added, “If this saying is true, why didn’t your left eyelid twitch when you picked the four hundred million dollar Imperial Green Jade at the cruise ship auction of the Lu family several days ago? Isn’t that luck?”
When the scornful words entered her ears, Su Wan laughed, knowing he had no bad intentions.
Su Wan supported her forehead and tried to be soberer.
“I don’t know why I think so. It might be because you’re going to A City and my heart feels empty.”

Actually, A City was not too far away from S City. If he were to take the highway, he merely needed two hours to and fro.
Su Wan’s grandparents, Xie Changfeng and Lin Xuan, lived in A City. When Su Wan and Jiang Xuecheng were free on weekends, they would buy some things and visit the old folks.
Moreover, Su Wan and Jiang Xuecheng used to go in the morning and come home at night and had never stayed a night there before. They had always made it hard for her grandparents to part with them and they had always told the couple that they had to stay the next time they visited.
Hearing what Su Wan said, a light flashed through Jiang Xuecheng’s eyes. He couldn’t help caressing Su Wan’s head.
“What do you usually always think about? I’m only taking some time off to go to A City to attend an event. I’ll be back latest by 8 pm. What will you do if I go abroad to work in the future?”
Jiang Xuecheng’s question was interesting and Su Wan blurted out without thinking, “Of course I’ll go with you!”
What a joke! Foreign countries had an open culture and the pretty ladies there were not as introverted as the girls in Jiuzhou. Their enthusiasm, zeal, and unrestrained energy was an eye opener for Su Wan!
If they were to see a perfect man like Jiang Xuecheng with their own eyes, wouldn’t they swarm in like a pack of hungry wolves?
Without even mentioning that Jiang Xuecheng was married, the women would still advance one after another to have a try even if he liked men.
If Su Wan waited till her husband was snatched by someone else, she would cry. Hence, it would be better for her to keep an eye on him now!
Taking a step backward, if Jiang Xuecheng dared to have an affair behind her back, Su Wan would definitely skin him alive and leave him without hesitating.
Of course, as of now, Su Wan felt her current relationship with Jiang Xuecheng was sweet where they were deeply attached to one another and there was mutual loyalty. As long as there weren’t major changes, she would not want to leave him in this life and even in the next.
It was the first time Jiang Xuecheng saw Su Wan not hesitating to declare his sovereignty over him.
Jiang Xuecheng felt that she was adorable at the moment. He couldn’t help raising his brows as he asked, “Wan Wan, has anyone told you that you look like a tigress when you get angry?”
Su Wan glared at Jiang Xuecheng. “It’s too late for you to know now. Goods sold are not returnable.”
Jiang Xuecheng looked up and met Su Wan’s side gaze. He laughed lowly and uncontrollable pleasure appeared in his heart.
Could he boldly believe that Su Wan was completely in love with him?
Her feelings for him had become the same as the ones he had for her. Love arose from nowhere and it only deepened.
Since his first saw Su Wan, fate had probably been planted and could not be erased no matter what.
Wan Wan was destined to belong to him.
Jiang Xuecheng held Su Wan’s hand and planted a kiss on it. “Yes, my madam, goods sold are not returnable.”
Su Wan was stunned. As if electrified, she quickly retracted her hand.
Why did she suddenly feel like she was being teased by Jiang Xuecheng?
Redness stained on Su Wan’s fair cheeks. She tilted her head smilingly and felt unexpectedly happy.
“Then, remember to go and return early. If it’s on your way, please also send my regards to Grandfather and Grandmother.”
“Yes, madam.”
Jiang Xuecheng smiled calmly and then stepped on the accelerator as he drove speedily toward Di Chen Group’s headquarters.
